Natural, redness relief, hydrating
This product is fantastic. I hate the feel of both powder and liquid foundations because I feel (both mentally and physically) too made up. I have sensitive skin and I hate the feeling of a cake face. Loving natural-looking makeup, I gave this a try. I've gone through Smashbox and MUFE liquid and powder foundations and have ended up returning each one. This stuff is great. It's sheer enough that it looks natural and genuinely pretty- not too make up. If you're looking for full coverage stuff, look elsewhere. I also love that the shade matches my skin tone perfectly. I have insanely pale skin (casper the ghost white) and it matches exactly- probably because it's so sheer. I also love that it has SPF 20 sunscreen (even though you should use at least 30 daily), but it's better than none. I am convinced that sunscreen is the way to beauty.... so I'm going to keep up my regime of spf 30 every day. As for using this with other products... a finishing powder and/or blush could be used afterwards. Primer and sunscreen could easily be used beforehand. Just be sure that the moisturizer has fully dried before putting on an other makeup afterwards. Pros: sheer, natural, redness-correcting, moisturizing Cons: Needs better sun protection Go ahead and try it. Sephora has a fantastic return policy if you have any problems with it. Just keep the receipt.

Blends well, glowy, lightweight
Now, I have dry skin, so everything that indicates illuminating, radiance or a dewy finish is just right up my alley. (Ergo, I have the Laura Mercier Primer in Radiance and Hydrating.) I also don´t have a whole lot of problematic skin. The occasional break out, but thats really it. Since I am not a daily foundation or tinted moisturizer kinda girl (concealer and powder does it for me on lazy days, with a primer underneath to make everything stay in place), this product is supposed to purely give me a more radiant shine on my otherwise dull and dry looking face. An SPF of 20 clearly is a winner already. Unless you expect to be photographed, an SPF of 20 or higher is always a plus in any product! You can see the light shimmer particles in the product, however ones distributed on the skin it only leaves a slight and very natural looking sheen. Also, this is a light weight product and not covering up any skin issues. It purley gives that highly anticipated dewy feeling to the skin. Overall, I would say after wearing it for a day, the illuminating effect stays on my dry skin really only for a good 4-5 hours. After that it sinks into the skin and though a slight radiant sheen is still visible, which is nice, the moisturizing effect however is completely gone. (I only powder my undereye area to keep the concealer in place and to give the moisturizer space to work. So in my case, powder does not soak up the actual moitsurizer.) It is a rather expensive tinted moitsurizer. Is it worth the money? Yes and No. Yes, it is a high quality product wich does what it says it does. Than again, depending on the skin type, results may vary, which in my case even makes me think, that the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance is giving a similar illuminating effect on the skin (though without SPF) and therfore only one of these will be repurchased.

Blends well, matte, mattifying
I wanted the flawless look and went to invest on Laura Mercier. At first after seeing comparisons by beauty bloggers I picked the Silk Creme because it gave a smooth matte look which I thought was more suitable for the office. I used the Silk Creme on top of Radiance Foundation Primer (which I love to death). However, because I have a normal/ dry skin, Silk Creme ended up OVER-mattifying my skin. My usually supple and glowing skin looked very powdered, dried out, almost fake. The formula was also very heavy. I switched to Tinted Moisturizer and cannot be happier. It's not as dewy or as "oily" as pictured online. The result definitely depends on your skin type and the amount of product you use. The formula is light and watery and is absorbed nicely by the skin, leaving a fresh feeling. I use a sheer amount of the foundation primer, just to give my skin an even texture. I applied pea-sized amount of tinted moisturizer as a lot of bloggers recommend and blended the formula in with a foundation brush (highly recommended to get smooth, airbrushed result that you see in ads - you don't want to use your fingers and see lines). I topped it off with the loose setting powder - which is great. I think it's optional, especially for people with normal/ dry skin. But it's just nice to have the whole look set for the whole day and not have to blot your face around dinner time. What I get is a healthy, glowing skin look. NOT the oil-slick YSL foundation look - which, for me, is too much for everyday use.
