staying power

longlasting

it stays on all day/night

- Sephora User

this is the best; light but great coverage, stays all day and never looks like i'm wearing "make-up"

- Sephora User

weight

lightweight

it feels heavy on my skin and yes i don't mind makeup but i prefer the no makeup makeup look where it looks like i barely have anything on and by far this is the best makeup i've worn in years

- Lauramercier User

it feels heavy on my skin and yes i don’t mind makeup but i prefer the no makeup makeup look where it looks like i barely have anything on and by far this is the best makeup i’ve worn in years

- Sephora User

blendability

blends well

it blends out in seconds and it never breaks me out, the coverage is minimal (although it is buildable to a degree) and in my opinion it looks as though you're not wearing anything

- Lauramercier User

i dot it all over my face then pat and spread with my fingers and it looks natural, evens my skintone & lasts for ever

- Sephora User

texture

smooth

many friends and my boyfriend have commented in surprise on how smooth my skin looked when i was wearing it, without knowing i was wearing face makeup

- Sephora User

this tinted mouistrizer gave me enough coverage as i mainly need to even out my skin tone, not to cover up blemishes, and was perfectly light and smooth on my skin

- Sephora User

gentleness

gentle

coverage is surprisingly good with a sponge and gentle dabs over blemishes

- Sephora User

it feels great, is gentle enough to cause zero irritation, and creates a smoother, more even, glowing look in a wonderfully subtle way

hydration

hydrating

on the days i don't feel like doing a full foundation routine this is perfect because it evens out skin tone while moisturizing my face

redness

redness relief

it sinks in perfectly and looks like i'm not wearing anything, but still provides enough coverage to even out my redness/dryness/oiliness/disasterness

- Sephora User

i have redness in my cheeks that this covers perfectly

- Sephora User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

this product makes my skin look and feel like satin and completely mattifies with light but buildable coverage without drying, leaving a pore-free, smooth, picture-perfect finish

- Sephora User

so far this has not broken me out or given me any blackheads, and it stays on my face all day and doesn't get oily, even without powder and primer

- Sephora User

brightness

brightening

this look stays on your face the whole day and pairs extremely well with the primer and illuminati’s

- Sephora User

but for an all over glowing, radiant look without looking "made-up" this stuff is by far the best

- Sephora User

color accuracy

doesn't oxidize

provides perfect coverage for evening skintone, doesn't oxidize, and stays on beautifully all day

- Sephora User

this tinted moisturizer doesn't oxidize at all and lasts all day

- Sephora User

mattifying

mattifying

however, with the right primer and setting powder (i use first aid beauty hello fab pores be gone primer and too faced peach perfect mattifying setting powder), this makes my skin look nice and even

- Sephora User

except for the fraction that i should have gotten a shade or two darker, this provides great, lightweight coverage, and has a somewhat good mattifying effect

- Sephora User

finish

demi-matte

but, keep diffusing, it sheers out, quickly sets in place and leaves a semi-matte finish

- Sephora User

i like to use a brush to blend it out, it will look dewy at first but once its blended out it leaves a semi-matte finish to the face

- Lauramercier User

coverage

medium coverage

this has medium coverage and also lasts for 9 hours

- Sephora User

so if you are a medium to full coverage everyday type of girl then you might want to stir away from this product

OILY GIRLS REJOICE!!!

I have tried A MILLION things in the search for perfect skin, and i have finally found it! This product is the BEST BEST BEST in the market!I am in my mid 20's with skin that LOVES to act up! Ranges from sort-of normal to really oily, with large pores and acne breakouts. Needless to say, i've got stuff to conceal (got dark circles, too), including pores, really uneven tone and acne scars... My skin also reacts to lots of stuff in makeup (by breaking-out) - so i made a rule: no cheap stuff with this already troubled face!Long story short: never would have thought a TINTED MOISTURIZER could do the trick for my troubled skin - Not enough coverage, right??? A moisturizer to put on top of oily skin that breaks out??? Counter-intuitive! (That's stuff's for girls who don't really need to wear makeup, anyway - right???) NO!While I never even gave this product a thought as an option for me, but only tried it because i got a free sample from Sephora, I am now SO glad that i did! This product produces the most natural, dewy-looking BUILDABLE and long-lasting coverage out there! It blends perfectly into skin, even if it tends toward oiliness or break-outs, and NO ONE can tell you have makeup on! AND it does NOT disintegrate as the day goes by, either (although it helps to use blotting papers if you are REALLY oily)! Also, for an oily girl to look dewy - and not oily??? It can be done! ;)This product also seemed to stop pores on my face from over-producing oil, while it moisturized the dry parts of my face back to life - it evened everything out and made my skin look (and feel) very VERY HEALTHY, LUMINOUS and UNTROUBLED - like a really good, exactly-right-for-me skincare product!Healthy-looking dewy skin, day after day after day! This has been my skin care/makeup dream for AGES and I have only attained it by using this product! I have never felt or looked more beautiful, and my skin looks now like it did when i was a pre-teen!;)LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! I would die if it was ever discontinued! « less

The Best; Just As I Expected It Would Be!

I've been wanting this for years and it always passed me by. This year I was finally able to get it and I got it straightaway. It took some trial and error as my complexion is not the easiest one to to match. Usually, the darkest of the lighter colours are too light, the lightest of the darker colours too dark, and I have yellow undertones. I also personally have to be careful because I have some allergies and cannot use anything with Red Dye (red #40, etc.) in it. Thankfully, for allergy sufferers alike there are no dyes in this tinted moisturiser at all. Once we got the correct colour down pat everything was a go. I have oily skin (especially in my T-zone; also worse in the summer time) therefore I chose the Oil-Free formula in the Dark Brown tube. It's sheer which is preferable so you can build up to your liking. I didn't detect a fragrance. I like that better. I don't need a fragrant makeup going up my nose for hours making me queasy. Twenty (20) is the SPF Level. That works out perfect because 90% of the time you'll put regular moisturiser underneath, so in total 35 may be your min SPF when you add them both up. It's light, doesn't feel or look heavy on your face. I love this property of it because Summertime is not the Season for heavy makeup. Do watch what type of moisturiser you wear underneath. The more mattifying the moisturiser (i. e., Murad Oil Control Mattifying Moisturiser ) the more chalky or ghostly you will look. I think it may be from the high concentration of Titanium Dioxide in mattifying moisturisers. It won't run down your face during the heat ( I sometimes add some sheer powder overtop to set it). You don't get a completely mattifing look, but one in between matte and dewy. Overall, I love it. I think the colour range could of been a smidgen more accurate (esp. in the med ranges on and I'm not dark at all!) but overall it's an incredible Tinted Moisturiser that leaves you with a flawless face for the entire day. This is one that I'm sure I'll be purchasing over and over for years to come. Amusez-vous!

I'm going to be

I'm going to be honest and start by saying I've used tinted moisturizers in the past, and found them pretty pointless/useless. This was not the case. This tinted moisturizer blew me away. I was absolutely amazed. I've suffered a great deal from acne, and I have horrible purple scars that typically require a great amount of concealer and decent coverage foundation. Like all new facial makeup, I try it by itself before mixing and matching with products. After all, this is a tinted moisturizer meant to usually be used with subtle products like a primer or illuminator. As from my acne, I have oily skin and was scared to use this product. If you're worried too.. stop. There's no need to be. As long as your acne is reduced to scars and little to no bumps, this product will give you almost full coverage while smoothing skin, making you glow, protecting your skin, and keeping oily away. That's right, as long as you use a thin layer of translucent powder over, I've had no oil issues. I've had no caked issues like I do with foundation.. and most of all, I forget this is on my face while I'm wearing it! It's so lightweight, especially if you use the Laura Mercier primer with it! I've had a lot of bad products come my way, and my skin loves to reject every single one of them. Imaging purchasing something so expensive just to have your acne bust out afterwards. Too bad they don't refund that. This is not one of those products. I feel like this tinted moisturizer is a life saver. You get skin protection, even skin, an amazing healthy and natural looking glow, and you can't even tell it's there! I also have large pores, and as long as you derma roll and use this product (from my experience) it doesn't affect pores (it doesn't make them bigger) if anything they seem smaller since it evens out skin tone. I feel blessed to have had this product come into my life. Less

I’m now ditching foundation

Disappointing

When I think about this tinted moisturizer, I try to compare it to other similar products I own, from $5 to $50. In my opinion, LM's really is a let down. While the coverage is sheer (which is what you want in a TM) it really just seemed to give a weird tint to my face rather than actually make it look more even and smooth, if that makes sense. A good tinted moisturizer or BB cream will really smooth out your complexion. I have dry skin and powders do not work for me at all, so I stick to only liquid TMs, foundations and BB creams. I found that this stuck to and even drew attention to any imperfections or rough patches on my skin. To be honest, I have several drugstore products at a fraction of the cost that are both a better match in color (I have fair skin), produce more natural looking and impressive results, even some with higher SPF, and that make me break out less. While I didn't have major, highly problematic breakouts with this, I did notice it negatively affecting my skin's appearance overall - small pimples mostly.Overall: you can do better. « less

I‘ve never really liked wearing foundation because it feels heavy and makes me feel like I’m going to break out. Are there any lightweight concealers to hide my blemishes? Or any face powder you guys recommend to wear by itself??

Looking for recommendations for either a tinted moisturizer or a natural looking foundation for everyday use. I’m a makeup beginner so I’m not really sure where to start. I’m looking for something matte or anything that won’t be too oily at the end of the day. Also, if you have any primer recommendations that would help a bunch!
