blendability

patchy

i didn't like using it around my eyes, ended up with globs in the corners of my eyes and i never found the perfect way to blend

- Sephora User

the twist applicator is annoying and makes the formula hard to blend

weight

heavy

it made my concealer dry and cakey

- Sephora User

it's possible i got a bad one, but it comes out of the tube congealed and chunky, in one hard piece instead of covering the brush

Congealed, Not Worth The Price

I thought I would LOVE this, it has great reviews and I have a foundation and concealer I love -- I was just looking for a little extra under-eye coverage. It's possible I got a bad one, but it comes out of the tube congealed and chunky, in one hard piece instead of covering the brush.

Cannot Live Without This Secret Brightener

I have been using this product for over a year now and it is AMAZING! When I originally purchased it, I was looking for a brightener to use under my concealer to help with my dark circles. My dark circles were out of control at the time because I was a sleepless college student. I was drawn to this product because it is allergy tested and I have sensitive skin that tends to react badly to brightening products. Immediately after using this, my dark circles under my eyes looked like they were gone. My eye area looked much brighter and I did not look like I had been up all night studying. I use this everyday under my Makeup Forever concealer. I cannot recommend this product enough, it is beyond amazing.

Really brightens tired eyes

I don't always do what they tell me to do in the store--I do what works for me. In this case, I do all my concealing around my eyes, then eye base, then I dab just a bit of the secret brightener in the inner corner of my eyes & just under my brows, smudge it in with my finger, spreading it tight up under my lower lashes too (although I find I don't need to place any there initially) & set with secret brightener. I think #2 is best for me. Then I add tight line & shadow as appropriate for my full-time working mom life & voilá! I don't look as though I only slept three hours! Just go light--too much is just too much.

Natural looking brightener!

I bought a few different brighteners/concealers to experiment with. This is easily my favorite. It's easy to apply (I use my fingertip although the brush tip is not bad)...and a little goes a long way. I use it on the inner corners of my eyes, and it's amazing the subtle, but definite, brightness my eyes have with it. There is a little shimmer with it, but when used on the inner eyes it blends in well and is not noticeable. I think this will be a permanent item in my makeup routine.

A Trusty Steed

I tried the Eye Basics in Wheat to see if it was better than this product and I should never have strayed. I returned the Eye Basics and purchased my trusty tube of Secret Brightener. If you want to lighten and give a hint of shimmer to areas around the eyes that could use a little brightening, this is your product. It's soft looking, isn't at all cakey, doesn't crease and stays on well.
