I have been using

I have been using Laura Mercier primers (usually regular and hydrating) for more than six years. I love the light, creamy consistency and the fact that it blends in so it does not feel heavy on your skin. After using this primer daily for many years I was tempted to try Smashbox and a number of other primers after reading beauty reviews, just to try something different. The other primers made by skin feel like it was suffocating (silicon bases), were gritty or left my face shiny by the end of the day. Lesson learned. When you find something good, stick with it! Laura Mercier primers are very comfortable to wear. My foundation looks as good at the end of the day than it did at the start. I don't need translucent powder over my foundation. I recommend it to everyone. It's good value and you only need a small amount so it lasts a long time. I live in Australia where the climate is very dry and spend time in humid climates in Asia. It works the same regardless of environment. « less

Lush nectarine

I bought this in Lush Nectarine based on the description of peachy coral; this turned out to be a warm pink with peachy tones (like all supposed "peach" blushes turn out-am starting to think a true peach blush is an urban legend).Initially I was disappointed as I already have plenty of pinky/peach blushes, Nars orgasm, the balm hot mama, BE Vintage Peach etc, but this blush is so beautiful I don't care that it wasn't the colour I was looking for.The formula and finish are amazing, super smooth, blendable, sheer yet still pigmented so it's really easy to apply and looks beautifully natural, no blotches or streaks. It's also very long wearing, it wears off evenly ie no patches as it fades, and it didn't cause any irritation or breakouts. While the colour wasn't the peach/coral it was described to be, is the most gorgeous, flattering shade of pink/peach that really brightens up your face without making you look like a clown. Also a huge plus is the very subtle shimmer, it's enough to give you a bit of a glow but not over the top, and you actually get more colour than shimmer which isn't the case with a lot of blushes. If you liked the colour of Nars orgasm but can't deal with the shimmer, I would highly recommend Lush Nectarine. « less

Peach Loveliness

I LOVE this blush- it has a lot of pigment, so a little goes a long way, it stays all day and it looks great with the LM illuminating tinted moisturizer. I was hesitant to order as it looks more orange than peach but I found it to be a lot lighter than the color depicted online and it has an almost undetectable shimmer that stays away from shiny or glittery. I ordered the matte Second Skin blush "Peach Whisper" from the LM site, as it's not available at Sephora, but ended up liking this one much, much better- the matte blush was too heavy looking. Highly recommend.

Smooth Soft Skin

Normally, I don’t like hydrating primers because they don’t sink in enough even after 30 minutes and cause my foundation to look cakey. But this is different. I have dry skin and make sure I exfoliate and moisturize my skin before I prime for makeup. Since this is a moisturizing product, I put it on and let it sink in at least 15 minutes before I use my regular primes and oh my goodness my skin has NEVER felt so smooth and my foundation just glides on and blends so easily. This would be really good for people that are applying makeup several hours after you’ve washed your face and do your regular skincare routine. It’s kind of an “extra” step for me but I love it!

way too bright

The color is not sheer and does not give you a naturally blushed look unless you blend and use way to much powder over it.... and I use a Guerlain blush powder brush to apply. so it is not the fault of the brush.
