Holy Grail

I adore this foundation! I'm 41 and have fine lines and at times adult acne. This isn't a foundation that is going to cover everything. You can always use a concealer, which I suggest if you have something to cover up. This gives my skin a healthy glow without looking greasy. I have combo skin. My T zone can get oily, yet this foundation does not break down when I get oily. Stop applying this foundation with a wet sponge. Use your fingers or brush then bounce your sponge over to give a seemless look. Or use your sponge dry or one day dry, this will give you better coverage. Why are people so afraid to use their fingers? It warms the product perfectly goes one on seconds and looks flawless!I'm extremely pale and the first pale color doesn't look good on my completion. I use 140, the 110 ivory is very dark on my skin, it oxidized to an orange color. The 140 porcelain doesn't oxidize on me like the 110 does. I have more olive neutral undertones. Some foundations are to yellow and look like peanut butter such as the 110 Teint Idol. I find this foundation compared to the Idol, is like night and day. Idol has more coverage yet ages me instantly! It sits on top of my skin. This foundation melds with my skin. Looks just like my skin. Does not look bad on dry patches and or does it make my pores worse. My husband always complements me when I wear this foundation. After wearing this for the past 6 months, I have rallied up his complemets and he never misses a day I am wearing this! For me, that's gold!I have a back up of this foundation! I will not be without this! When it comes to foundation I don't care about price. I want a good product and I have spent less and have had good results, odd I love the wet n wild cushion, foundation... looks beautiful, too. But that foundation is drying and has no true good ingredients that are good for my skin. Thisfoundation, it's beautiful, looks like skin, doesn't break down, is good for my skin, and the hubs always complements me! « less

so pretty and radiant!

I'm 32 and have dry skin. I also have fine lines and expression lines as well. This has such a lovely finish. I use my Laura mercier radiant primer with porefessional pearl primer on my t zone area and around my nose with Laura mercier translucent setting powder and the new glow powder dusted over it that she came out with and it looks so pretty. now I will say that the first time I used it, i put 2 coats/layers of this on and it ended up slipping all over my face in a weird way (I didn't put the porefessional pearl primer that time just the radiant primer) and it looked kind of cakey after about 5 hours, when I only put one layer one it looked so much better and wore better throughout the day, like a night and day difference. It totally wiped out and evened my fine lines and deep expression lines on my forehead and under my eyes and around my mouth. I am what you would call a foundation junkie, I love high end foundations and I have probably close to 20 different high end foundations, this is one of my top 5 for sure, maybe even top 3. I place it up there with my Laura mercier candleglow foundation which is my absolute favorite and becca aqua luminous foundation as well. If it does this amazing on my skin, i can only imagine how well it would work for someone who has more mature skin then mine. I would not recommend this for oily or combination oily skin though, on the box it does say for normal to dry skin and they are absolutely right on that. Less

Sticky and Heavy Wear

I heard a rave review from a You tube "guru" on this foundation. I was sold when it says it will reduce looks of lines and not settle. Having worn this a few times, this is just not true. I am 37 so I have fine lines, not deep wrinkles and it did not diminish the look at all and definitely settles. The biggest reasons I dislike this foundation is 1) it just never dries and always feels sticky on the face 2) It makes your face appear "dewy" but to me that just means oily or sickly looking 3) Has very poor coverage to where all my post acne and sun spots look like nothing is covering them. Very disappointed and had high hopes :(

At First I Was On The Fence...

about this foundation. The reason being was the shade. I had gone into my local, KOP Nordstrom looking for foundation. My daughter is a fan of Lancome foundation so I thought I would give it a try. Due to my age, I was drawn to the Renergie Lift---as I had surgery last year for skin cancer on my forehead, I was also interested in this because of the 20SPF. The consistency was slightly a little more liquidy than I was anticipating but nonetheless, I was interested. The S/A assistant had me try the Claire10C. I thought it looked slightly orange, and I was petrified of the foundation oxidizing--as so many foundations do with my fair skin. I purchased it anyway and figured if it did look too orange, I could return it. Store lighting, after all IS different than real life. I went home and tried this foundation. Needless to say, I was happy. With a primer, it stayed on all day. The foundation blended in quite naturally with my coloring and did not oxidize. In addition, the consistency was slightly watery, but managed to cover my flaws. It also gives a nice dewy finish which I really like. The finish is absolutely lovely. **Just as an aside in case you purchase this. I started mixing a little of the Boots Number 7 face illuminator and WOW--the two together make for a great finish to your face--just wanted to add that in**. Anyway, I ran out of this about five days ago, and went back to using an unfinished bottle of a different foundation. I have to say, I miss my Lancome and will be sauntering into my local Nordstrom later this week to get more. Excellent foundation. « less

Radiant, Glowing Looks and Beautiful Skin

Env: developmentI admit, I am young looking for my age, and normally do not purchase make up or skin care products for "lift" or anti-aging properties. But I left my foundation at home so while visiting my mother I borrowed her **Lancome Renergie Lift Make Up SPF 20. ****Lancome Renergie Lift Make Up SPF 20 **is a 1.0 ounce bottle of foundation with sun protection level 20. It is in a heavy glass bottle not easily broken, with a small "pump" similar to those on hand lotions used for dispensing the make up.Priced at approximately $45.00 it may be considered very expensive, but the bottle really does last a long time. The **Lancome Renergie Lift Make Up SPF 20 **foundation comes in approximately 15 colors to choose from, each of the starting with the title "lifting." It is designed for normal to dry skin.It advertises itself as a having the ability to transform you skin instantly to even younger looking skin. Quote, The innovative Micro-LiftTM technology with Pure Vitamin E immediately smoothes skin resulting in an instant, lines virtually disappear. Skin radiates seamless beauty.***My Viewpoint: ***I have now been using my **Lancome Renergie Lift Make Up SPF 20 **for several months. I probably would never have purchased this item for myself, but I also wear very little make up, such as some foundation, mascara and lipstick and I am out the door, especially at the price of $45.00. What was truly gratifying to me was after running around Dayton, Ohio all day long, and experiencing a rather stressfull day I stopped by my in laws (for some comfort and wine). My father in law said, "Wow!" Lisa you have always had beautiful skin, but you are absolutely glowing today," My mother in law wondered what I had done to my skin to make it look so smooth, soft and radiant. I actually had to think about it. Then I remembered! Now, to get that kind of reaction, I will definitely spend a lot more money on my foundation. Since a little goes a long way, and my skin looks healthy, why spend almost the same amount over the course of months buying bottle after bottle.**Lancome Renergie Lift Make Up SPF 20 **holds up well in the Houston heat.it goes on smooth and creamy and is very easy to remove also. I have used it all summer, and without any other sun protection product I have avoided sun burns and my skin at the end of the day still looks fresh and smooth. Although I have never had a problem with acne, sometimes I would get a break out here and there when switching make up and that did not happen to me with this one.5 Stars from this 40 something mom. I intend to grow old gracefully, but not fight it and if this can make my face look smooth and radiant then I will definitely keep buying it.Env: development Less
