I've finally found the perfect nude!!!

I got this in Rich Cashmere because I saw it in this month's In Style (I think). They were recommending the best lipsticks in each shade nude, pink, red, etc and this was there recommendation for the best nude and the caption said it was especially nice on fair skin. so immediately ordered it. I am very fair, in Bare Minerals I'm "Fairly Light". I've been searching for the perfect nude for years and I haven't found anything I like as well as this. Most colors are either too opaque and make me look dead or they are too pink or mauve or brown. This was great, I think it being slightly sheer helps. I could go through the list off all of the shades I have tried but it would be way too long. The only negative thing I can say about this lipstick is the taste- not good at all. I think Lancome could fix that, add some mint or some rose or something. The taste reminded me of my great grandmothers Revlon lipsticks I used to put on from the late seventies. Bad. But I can get past it and will still wear it for the awesome color. It seems pretty moisturizing as well. Also, the swatch looks more pink on my computer than the lipstick so I put some on a white piece of paper and snapped a picture. If you have been searching for the perfect nude, and especially if you are fair, give Rich Cashmere a try. Just don't lick your lips. « less

Fantastic

Loved this lipstick, has a great creamy texture, brilliant staying power for nearly all day and doesn't dry your lips when taken off

Make-up staple!

This lipstick is a make-up staple for me my daughters and my mother. The texture is creamy and moisturising and it has good stay put colour. I always have it in my make-up bag, it suits so many skin tones, is discreet and classy to be worn by anyone at anytime.

Well, the packaging is dope. But..

I struggled with even giving this lipstick two stars. The formula is nothing special. The mattes are mediocre at best and last maybe 2 hours if you don't eat or drink. They are also dry for a formula that specifically claims to be hydrating (I would have went with three stars if they had not made that statement...but it's just not true.) The sheer colors, like Timide, came off in less than an hour while I literally did nothing but go for a walk. However, the colors are stunning. Timide is my perfect my-lips-but-better-color (for reference, I am very pale and slightly warm toned). Rose Lancome matte is a vivid pink-rose that can rock an otherwise bare face. Cafe Parisian and Poeme are both beautiful lighter rose-pink-beige colors. But I don't want to reapply a drying lipstick every hour or two...because then you get patchy lips that crack and give you that lovely crusty lips. I could not make them work for longer an episode of Project Runway. So back they all went. The packaging is very slick. You press down on the gold Lancome rose on the top and the lipstick pops out. (Pro tip: still be sure to twist the bullet down before recapping.) I love the black and metallic colors. But what's the point of chic packaging for a bad product? Lisa Elderidge, please update Lancome's formulas! For the price, they should last. I'm not going just pay this price for just a gimmicky (but cool) package.

SMOKY ROUGE - LONG LASTING MOISTURIZING RED

Smoky Rouge is a beautiful red L'Absolu Rouge lipstick. My closest friends have been on my case for the past year, trying to get me to balance my eye makeup with bolder lip products. I love eye makeup in all sorts of shades, but prefer lip balms and glosses. A few months ago, they gave me a huge basket filled with a ton of lip products, most of which were darker than anything I'd ever pick. I've been trying to work my way through the basket. I saved the darkest deepest ones until last, so I could use them while we're on vacation, giving me a chance to decide if I could get used to them, or if they just looked ridiculous. Smoky Rouge is the darkest lip products This is the third L'Absolu Rouge lipstick from that basket. All three of these lipsticks are very moisturizing. Each stays on my lips for a couple of hours, but they all feel heavy. I could feel their presence on my lips. I prefer lip products that I can't feel but I understand that often the colors that stay the longest are the colors that have a more physical presence on my lips. There's an obvious trade-off, meaning that feeling them on my lips means they're probably going to stay in place longer than those that I don't feel. Smoky Rouge is red, and looks as if it would work for all women, no matter what their skin tone. If this is going to be a signature color and used a lot, I can highly recommend it, which was my feeling on the other two lipsticks. I appreciate that my friends bought me these lip products. However, for someone like me who wears lipstick as little as possible, I wouldn't spend $29 on a lip product knowing I'd barely use it unless it was for a special occasion. I much rather put my money into eye make up. However, this is obviously a really nice lipstick so if you're willing to spend $29 for it, I highly recommend it.
