As good as it gets!!

I had been using the Mac Lip Conditioning Stick and thought it was amazing, but this winter wrecked my lips and the Mac just wasn't cutting it. I purchased this product after reading multiple recommendations from beauty gurus online. To my total delight, this lip balm is even better than I had expected. I bought the original mint and the lemon. The mint isn't overpowering but does leave a slight tingle which I personally enjoy. I was a tad nervous about the lemon just because I didn't know what to expect but as soon as I unscrewed the lid I smell the delicious aroma of lemon Girl Scout cookies...YUM!! The texture is thick without being gloopy or sticky and has major staying power. One word of warning, I noticed the first several time I wore the balm after about an hour the product still on my lips felt kind of glungy and old, like I had a crumbled up pop tart on my lips. I attribute this to my lips being very dry and flaky and the balm actually worked to slough all the dead skin off my lips. By the second day my lips look and feel better than they ever have. Less user

Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm is the bomb!

Env: developmentJack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm is the bomb, lip balm that is!I had seen this Jack Black Lip Balm a few times at Sephora, and really just kind of of disregarded it. I had thought that this was a man's product so never gave it a second thought. I recently had lots of free sample points and seen a large sized tube sample available and I thought I'd give this a shot and let my husband have a treat. Well, I couldn't resist, I had to at least try it. I did and WOW, I really liked it.Jack Black lip balm has a nice consistency; it's not to thick or goopy and not to thin that it's runny. It applies nicely and actually stays on for quiet a long time. I applied this at night time and still had the flavor on my lips when I woke up eight hours later. The nice vanilla flavor/scent makes Jack Black's lip balm very neutral and very pleasant for both guys and gals. It says that it is a vanilla/lavender mix but I don't detect the lavender at all.I used this during the tough winter months here in Michigan, and I feel that this really helped on the days that I could tell my lips were dehydrated and starting to chap/flake. Price wise, I'd say this is a good value but I would guess most men probably wouldn't purchase Jack Black lip balm, but being a woman I would because I can appreciate a wonderful product such as this! I feel that this would be a great gift for a man, and the SPF 25 makes it perfect for both summer and winter.Jack Black lip balm is a nice surprise - and a little goes a long way, so I'm still working on my free sample. This is, by far, the best lip treatment I have ever used! I chose it based on other customer reviews, and I certainly haven't been disappointed. Not only does it do a great job of softening lips when applied at night, but it's perfect for use under and over lipstick as well. Surprisingly, it "stays put" and doesn't cause lipstick to smear, disappear or migrate. Perfect as a lip primer and a gloss! (Way better than a lot of products that are supposed to be lip primers.)I mainly got this to serve as a base for my Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tars (because I find them to feel a bit drying). But after using this balm, I've realized what a great product it is--with or without lipstick. Lipsticks and Lip Tar stays put with this as a base. After trying this a few days, I reordered one of every fragrance (since they really don't have any "taste") to give as gifts and to stash all over my home, vehicle and office. This is way better than the Fresh Sugar line and the Yu-Be lip balm (although I love the Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream for my hands and feet). Don't waste your money on anything else! Less

SPF is good but it's thick and heavy

I got the blackberry and tea flavor, which is surprisingly not that good. This product feels pretty heavy and goopy on the lips. I don't find it very moisturizing, it just sits on top of my lips. The applicator tip feels unsanitary because it gets so sticky and goes right on lips. The SPF would be the only reason I use this product when I'm going out, this is one of the only lip balms that I've found that has SPF to protect my lips. user

Jack Black lip balm is awesome

Env: developmentI love lip balm and need at least one with me, everywhere I go. I have tried a lot of lip products over the years because my lips get super dry, especially during the winter. Jack Black intense therapy lip balm helps a lot. It's like a thick cream or vasaline, but is not greasy and feels very light on my lips and keeps them hydrated for a long time. I do not have to reapply often like I do with other lip blams. Usually, one application in the morning will last the whole day. The peppermint smell is awesome too - makes my lips feel cool. It costs seven dollars at sephora which is a bit much for lip balm, but this one is definitely worth it. They also sold a two-pack including the lemon scented one for ten dollars, but I don't know if they still have this. I also love that it's SPF 25, the highest I have found. I am obsessed with spf, so this is perfect. This lip balm goes with me everywhere.Env: development Less
