OilyOily Skin
Hi! So I’m trying to find products to better help my foundation stay on and stay matte. I have very oily skin and have tried so many different foundations and have tried mattifying primers too. They either make me breakout or they just flat out don’t work. I’ve even tried the IL Makiage ‘find your perfect shade’ foundation, it’s better for summer and when I’m more tan, but it most definitely didn’t live up to its promise of staying even after using a mattifying primer. I’m also trying to look for products that aren’t crazy expensive.

I LOVE this primer! ALSO if you want to go the extra mile use Milk of Magnesia before it; works like a charm!

Ya girl over here needs help with my eyeshadow I don’t usually wear eyeshadow because I live in Arizona and summertime kills my makeup especially my eyes. Cause I tend to sweat underneath or sometimes around my eyes 👀. And I also think I have a type of eyelid that causes my eyeshadow to not be able to be see as great as normal eyelids. I think it’s called hooded eyelids and thank fully if I can still find them I found some videos that show how to get ur eyes to look better. But I don’t know where to start. First and foremost I don’t have money for anything expensive but could possibly splurge on a good item. If needed. I have green eyes 👀 that change colors sometimes and i dont know what shades would make my eyes look really nice and pop. And not sure with brushes or eyeshadow primers if that’s even what you call em haha 😂 ladies please feel free to give me any advice on eyeshadow or makeup in general cause I still would consider myself to be a newbie to the makeup world. I’m in desperate need of some help with this lol and I’ll only be able for the most part to buy products offline so give me any good tip y’all have I’d greatly appreciate it thanks so much 🔎🔎🆘💃🏼✨💁🏼‍♀️💅🏻🍀💄🙏🏼🤞🏼👗👠👜🕶🐛🦋🎯

Hi there! Warm browns look great with green eyes. A very affordable brown palette would be from Morphe and you can find those at the store Ulta. There’s almost ALWAYS coupons for Ulta going around so I recommend printing some out or just showing it on you phone (with scan bar) since you can only go in store. Good but affordable brushes that I love are from JessUp but those are online only. Another cheaper alternative are wet n wild and those you can find in drug stores! When holding brushes always hold then from the end and never close to the bristles. For eyeshadow I don’t use eyeshadow primer (I have hooded lids, too) I use a lighter concealer which also saves money by multipurposing your products. I apply a thin layer and don’t set it then start shadow from the darkest color to the lightest. Since you are a beginner I’d recommend setting the concealer with a light beige shadow then start with the lightest color first, it’ll be easier for you to get a smoother blend. Cut creases always are the best for hooded eyes, but since you’re a beginner I would hold off until you’ve had practice. (watch videos specifically for cutting the crease with hooded eyes!!) If you have any more questions, I’d love to answer them!

I live in a humid southern state but I’ll moving up north with a real winter so lotion is going to be super important for me. A serum or oil added to just the targeted area should help. Avocado oil or rosehip oil usually does it. Also making sure to sunscreen no matter the weather. Let me know if you tried it and that helps. I hope it does.

what’s the best think you guys use to tame frizzy hair? i live in the south and even in the winter it’s outrageous how poofy my hair gets, but everything i use just weighs it down and makes it look oily/greasy :(

I have 3a curly hair that gets frizzy and I use all products that are lightweight/have milk or water in some part of the ingredients! Also doing everything upside down will help define it :) hope this helps!

This chapstick is AMAZING!!!! I’m on medication that makes my skin EXTREMELY dry and sun sensitive and I’m already a pasty white girl so it is rough finding something that works. I went to Hawaii for a week and put this on everyday and not only were my lips not burnt, they were super soft and hydrated. I now own 3 tubes of this and don’t ever leave the house without it. Plus, the lemon one smells like jellybeans 😊

Looking for a lightweight non-sticky type foundation - don’t mind spending money. Every foundation I’ve tried feels extremely caked on and sticky. I live in Texas so I want something where I can breathe. I have combination skin, although mostly dry so wearing powder foundation makes my skin look flaky.

Have you tried the Bareminerals products? I, too, live in Texas abs these are not heavy and do not sweat off easily. There are several options for layering of products to get the coverage you want. I am currently using the complexion rescue tinted moisturizer with concealer under eyes, then a layer of matte powder foundation and a light dusting of the mineral veil. Works for me.

Perricone md no makeup foundation I need a dupe for this foundation, I live how it sits on my ski. It evens everything out and gives me a really pretty low coverage look. But it’s 60$ and I don’t think it’s really worth it

Ok so what is a good primer to fill in pores? If you have any drugstore recommendations I would love that bc there’s not an iota or Sephora where I live :( the nearest ones are an hour and a half away so something I could get from Walgreens or Walmart would be helpful

Wet n Wild’s eyeshadows are great, really pigmented and easy to blend, you can get a better deal on them at Walmart but they’re already really affordable. Also, their eyeshadow primer is amazing and makes any eyeshadow last all day without any creasing.
