it is so soft and it feels so smooth once applied in the skin, locks my foundation perfectly

- Sephora User

i don't get flashback in photos, it helps blur any imperfections, it leaves my skin looking matte and smooth, and it lasts all day

- Sephora User

no flashback

it makes your makeup last and doesn't flash back

- Sephora User

no flashback and is very fine which gives an amazing smooth finish

this stuff is ultra blurring, brightening, and lasts all day long

- Sephora User

but the micro blur controls my oils while giving me a radiant glow

- Sephora User

under eye

good for under eye

it totally exceeded my expectations, set my undereye seamlessly and was so light weight

- Sephora User

this setting powder sets my under eyes after concealer and looks matte when done, and lasts all day

- Sephora User

my makeup stays in place all day, and it feels silky and light

- Sephora User

it is matte but natural looking, is extremely lightweight and best part, doesn't make my face feel stiff, heavy and sticky like some other sprays and powders

- Sephora User

color accuracy

doesn't oxidize

it doesn’t change the color of my skin after applying and it definitely keeps my oil at bay

- Sephora User

this is such a nice powder for those who do not want any flash back, and are looking for something that won't change the color of your face/oxidize when doing your makeup

- Sephora User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

minimizes pores and keeps everything matte

- Sephora User

it goes onto the skin so beautifully and seems to disguise my pores really well and a little seems to go a long way

- Debenhams User

blends well

doesn't make my makeup look cakey and blends in smoothly to set my concealer and reduces shine on my t-zone

- Sephora User

this powder actually goes on very well when used with the kvd powder brush and it's so finely milled that it feels great on the skin, but most importantly, it blends in well with my complexion and doesn't give me a casket effect

- Sephora User

medium coverage

it provides medium to full coverage, locks in your foundation, is translucent, and best of all is lightweight

- Sephora User

i use it over a medium coverage liquid foundation, and full-coverage concealer

- Sephora User

best use

the translucent shades blends in well and keeps my make-up looking fresh all day

- Sephora User

it has a very slight brightening effect and it doesn't cake, i crease extremely easily and this is perfect

SO natural, gorgeous finish, NO FLASHBACK!

I'm a big fan of Kat Von D.'s products, but always associated them with a heavier, full coverage sort of look, not a natural, glowy one. So this powder completely defied all my expectations. It is super fine and light as a feather on your face, leaving a silky, natural finish that blurs any imperfections without looking chalky or "done." You can use it everywhere, even around your eyes, without worrying about creasing. I use it to set my foundation and help my contour/blush/bronzer go on more evenly, then once again after all my makeup is applied to give my face a unified, more blended finish. As natural and beautiful as the finish is, this powder is NOT great at shine control. If that is an issue, I recommend swiping a little shine controlling powder (MUFE and IT cosmetics make good ones) where you need it then using the KVonD OVER it. This has helped me have that lovely, satiny finish without the shine.Another wonderful bonus: there is no flashback with this powder! YAY! So make it a going out/holiday photos/selfie staple. :)This is an AMAZING product and I totally recommend it to anyone who is looking for a lightweight yet totally effective finishing powder that can be used all over the face. « less

This is an okay setting powder. Defiantly not my favorite and I wouldn’t repurchase. For me it left a white cast on the skin and left my skin feeling very dry after use. However it did increase the wear time of my concealer/foundation.

Ok so i have a few things to say about this concealer i personally enjoy using this setting powder for myself and i have more dry skin. This is a vey light weight translucent powder when you apply you do not see any color what so ever even that it looks like it would show some color it doesnt. The first time i used this i went a little heavy handed and was "baking" with this powder now if you do go heavy handed it will look a little dry on your skin (well it did for me anyway) this could be because i have dry skin of course. So the next time i used it i used a lighter hand and i have to say it worked out so well! Of course i did bake with this powder under my eyes and it still did look good i just had to use mousturizer right before i applied my makeup instead of when i usually apply my skincare. I find it didnt settle in any lines ,pores small areas. It really did lock in my foundation and concealer really well actually my foundation lasted even longer that day without breaking up and in this heat thats a big thing. I didnt find it dry looking in anyway i also didnt find it to change my foundation shade like some other brands tend to do. I also didnt find that it was heavy on the skin it felt very lightweight basically not even there whitch i love. You get alot of product for the price point i love the sifter i find it very easy to use even more easy to apply with any brush the product just picks right up for me. this is one of my new favorite go to powders even beating out a very high end powder that i shall not name but was triple this price point. Great job Kat Von D and sephora love the new line cant wait to try more in the future! « less

Kat Von D Beauty Lock-It Setting Powder Review

Ha, “not your grandma’s loose powder” *glares at Coty Airspun* For real. This is definitely one of the nicest loose powders I have ever used. Mind you, I haven’t tried the Laura Mercier but I have tried a many a drugstore and high-end setting powders over the years. Why is this one so good? It does exactly what the claim. I’ve had zero cake face, it’s super lightweight and silky. My skin looks smooth and poreless with minimal creasing under the eye.My skin does lean dry but being it’s been super humid, none stop rain, yet burning hot here in Louisiana. If you don’t natural have oily skin already, the weather here will give it to ya. Despite the humidity, wet and sweat my makeup has stayed matte where I want it and budge proof with this powder. In fact, last Saturday after a long day working a benefit, being in and outside, with extreme heat and a sudden downpour and my makeup being on from 11am, I fell asleep in it ( I was exhausted and just sacked out) and when I woke up the next morning it still looked pretty decent. LOL. Especially the under eye where I baked. (would anyone like a post on baking? let me know in the comments!)So yeah, 10 out 10 would recommend! « less

Need a good translucent setting powder that doesn’t change the color of your foundation or make me look too oily or too matte!! Been using the bare minerals mineral veil and it makes me too pink!

Any suggestions for setting powders? I currently use the airspun loose face powder in shade translucent and it gives me an ashy look. When I use it on my mother who is of darker complexion it works perfectly 😭 I get creases under my eyes as well.

HELP! I got the opportunity to do makeup for a wedding early next year, and I want to make sure that none of the products I use will cause issues for the photographer. Does anyone know of a great setting powder with ZERO flashback??? Preferably affordable, but higher end suggestions are fine too! And it needs to work for pale girls, as well as darker skinned girls. Thank you for any suggestions! :) #help #advice #weddingmakeup #noflashback

Any advice on stopping your concealer from creasing? I naturally have lines under my eyes and it seems like all concealers settle in them. I’ve been using setting powder and it doesn’t seem to be working.

Bake under your eyes for 3-5 minuets. Best baking powder I’ve ever used. Never crease.

Can someone recommend me a good translucent (loose) powder. I’m currently using a Ben Nye dupe and it works well but it makes my foundation just a little darker than its original shade (almost orange honestly). So what are your favorites or what do y’all recommend?!?

I’ve had issues with loose powders making my skin look dried out, and I’ve also had issues with flashback. I’m pretty sure the issue is with my powder (even though I try to avoid talc) so does anyone have a fav loose powder or one that they swear by?

AMAZING. I’ve been using it for years. Keeps everything locked down, I would just say go lighter with it because if you use too much it gives a flashback when camera flashes.

Just wondering what setting powders my dry skin ladies are using. I actually have only found one that works with my skin and that’s the hourglass veil powder. It’s just super expensive which if it works I gotta do what I gotta do but I’d like other recommendations just in case!
