weight

lightweight

i also use it as a very lightweight and apparently very natural eye shadow, brow shadows to make my brows stand out and just a tiny bit to accentuate the dimple in my chin

- Sephora User

heavy contouring looks crazy and super weird in real life and it's just nit my style

- Sephora User

consistency

creamy

smooth and soft texture that blends very well, no unnatural powdery shimmer and glimmer like most other brands

- Sephora User

can’t beat it - natural yet buildable with seamless finish and buttery texture

pigmentation

sheer

although the description says it is sheer, it is pigmented enough to give you the sculpted face you desire

- Sephora User

as it says in the product description, it is definitely sheer with a very gray base, and its sculpts the face beautifully

expensive but worth it

I am very fair with pink undertones and I've been searching for the perfect contour bronzer for my complexion. This one in light is a winner for me; highly pigmented but easy to blend for a natural look. I did receive a mini of the medium shade and it's beautiful even though I can only use a very light hand with it. The formula sits nicely on my dry skin and lasts all day. It's the only bronzer I've used that I don't feel silly in (I have a round face and I feel rather silly with harsh lines on the side of my face) I don't care much for the packaging but the product inside is perfect

The only contouring product you'll need.

A year ago, contouring was a mystery to me. I knew it as something that made models in pictures look completely different or something that was done by the contestants on Ru Paul's Drag Race (and I can only dream of being that fabulous). I was frustrated because other people seemed to be able to apply makeup in a way that would completely change the shape of their face and I couldn't figure out how. Then I started to watch some contouring tutorials and realised that was how. So what the heck do I buy do it on my own face?! First advice I got was "any bronzer will do". This is great advice... if it's Halloween and you want to be a tiger. Next, I was told to try Benefit's Hoola Bronzer. This is actually a decent product and I've found it good for a very subtle contour or for when my skin has a bit of a tan (I'm so pale that "tan" on my skin is "pale" to anyone else, mind you). But it wasn't giving me the amazing results I kept seeing in tutorials. I was online browsing here (the kind where I totally pinky swear to myself I won't buy anything) when I came across this. "No orange tones" was music to my fair-skinned, cool-toned ears. £35 though? I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who spends more than they should on beauty products, but this was stretching it a bit. So, I ever-so-sensibly walked away. Then came back an hour later and ordered it (that was a tough hour). This stuff is AMAZING! The trick is to blend, blend, blend. I apply it with an angled contour brush, then blend with a blusher brush (I blend this out more than anything else I use because it will look really bad if you don't). I use it on my cheeks, chin and nose. And I now have those face-changing results I wanted. It's very highly pigmented, so use sparingly. But once you get the hang of it, you'll be giving them Audrey Hepburn realness! « less

Hello cheekbones!!!

A friend at work had told me about this product and I had to have it! I had read the reviews and just knew I needed it. This product definitely gets 5* from me! Unlike other contouring products (whether it be bronzers or liquid foundations) this is in no way orange or yellow so won't warm the face in any way which is perfect for ensuring you don't get that tangoed "glow." It is purely there to shade - swept along the cheekbones, under the jaw and across my forehead it immediately defined my features in a natural way and created cheekbones that definitely weren't there before! I will say this - apply little and often. Don't rush in to slapping it on all in one go as unlike a bronzer or translucent powder it is EXTREMELY pigmented and will give a dirty effect if too much is used. Just apply lightly then blend and build as needed - I wouldn't say this is a go to product if you're in a rush the first time you use it. It does have a higher than usual price tag and is a little more than I would normally spend on a powder but it was absolutely worth it. The powder is very versatile and it's almost grey tone will suit any complexion. My only annoyance (and it was very slight) is the fact that the (small) palette doesn't come with an applicator. It's not that I don't have an array of applicators already, just the fact that for £35 I was expecting a little brush to be included in the compact for touch ups. But overall I would definitely recommend. « less

WOW

The absolute nice and easy way to achieve an instant contoured look. Smooth and soft texture that blends very well, no unnatural powdery shimmer and glimmer like most other brands. Just enhancing natural shadows as contours should be! No weird as-if-bruised look either that most other contouring/bronzing/blush products produce. So natural it is amazing!!! I also use it as a very lightweight and apparently very natural eye shadow, brow shadows to make my brows stand out and just a tiny bit to accentuate the dimple in my chin. Truest of shadows that does not make the skin look or feel icky. Love it, finally a product that simply just works. Thank you Kevyn Aucoin!

okay

I've really tried with this powder and it just does not sit well with my skin. I always get a flaky residue or patches. My skin is normal and I've tried it with different brushes and foundations and still same result. It is very pigmented but not for me.
