Good blurring primer?
I have a lot of texture on my forehead and large pores under my eyes and on my nose. I can’t seem to find a good primer to blur and smooth without it looking gross and clogging my pores! My skin is mostly oily but gets dry patches so I don’t want anything super matte, any suggestions?
I have dry, acne prone skin and I have been trying everything to get rid of my acne for the past year! nothing works (curology, neutrogena light mask, acne washes, tea tree oil, mario badescu- you name it!) does anyone have any recommendations for a natural at home remedy for acne? I’m done with all the chemicals ingredients on my face.
I’ve asked for recommendations for foundations a bit lately but I always ask for drugstore products. Now I’m just asking for any suggestions for foundations for dry skin, my go to has been e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation but now with the weather changing even it’s looking kind of dry and flaky on me, even though I’ve switched to my thick moisturizer and prep my skin thoroughly beforehand. I really want to find a foundation with good coverage that’s also very hydrating and I just haven’t had any luck with any I’ve tried so far, so any suggestions are much appreciated.
For those of you who have used this product, is it normal to get small red bumps after applying it? Every time I’ve used it, I get a few of these and I assumed I was allergic to it (I’ve used another product with Niacinamide and the same thing happened). However, I also read that this could be my skin “purging” and that it’ll stop once I keep using it. I’ve been scared to apply it again lol Should I keep trying?
With so many people moving into serums and acids just a reminder:
You should NOT mix these
VITAMIN C + AHAS/BHAS : Combining retinol with Vitamin C is a recipe for peeling, redness and irritation, in short, a total disaster for the health of your skin
RETINOIDS + AHAS/BHAS: damages skin moisture barrier and can cause irritation, redness, dry skin over time; use separately and sparingly
RETINOIDS + VITAMIN C: may cause over exfoliation, resulting in increased skin and sun sensitivity; separate into day/night routines
Benzoyl peroxide + vitamin C
OIL-BASED + WATER-BASED.
GLYCOLIC ACID + SALICYLIC ACID: too many acids can strip the skin and damage its ability to recover
NIACINAMIDE + VITAMIN C: use in careful moderation. Some studies show that They stabilize each other some shoe that mixing vitamin c can result in a niacin flush (red irritation to the skin).
-Retinols should mostly be used at night
- Vitamin C should mostly be used at night
-Wait 20 mins when layering multiple serums (if you find your skin can tolerate it in one setting)
-Don’t forger your SPF 30 during the day
-When introducing acids to your face “purging” is only normal to a certain extent
What is a good moisturizer for oily skin? I typically don’t use moisturizer because my face is already oily but in the winter it does start to dry out a little bit and I use topical acne medication that sometimes dries it out as well.
I’m looking for a nice bronzer, high end or drugstore! I just tried the abh one and I really liked it but I haven’t worn makeup in a while so it’s gone really chalky and it doesn’t blend anymore :( help!!!
i've been trying to lower how much makeup i use so i want to find a concealer that i can just use to hide my dark circles and some redness on my nose so it's more of a natural makeup look. any cheap concealers for combo skin?
my acne has always been a huge insecurity of mine, until recently I started forcing myself to see it as normal rather than a disease. I’ve tried many products but they never have really cleared me up. I’ve heard that raw African black soap is really good for acne (which I have quite a bit of) my skin used to be a lot worse years back but never to the point of cystic acne, as of right now it’s very controlled but I break out easily. Any advice on what brand has the best raw black soap or any good cleansers to clear up acne? I don’t have much acne but I do have the little tiny bumps that won’t go away and a few acne bumps here and there.
what would be a good product to use for acne scarring i don’t break out a lot anymore but it left scarring after facials, any recommendations?i use the neutrogena on-the-spot acne treatment but i’m assuming there are better products
Help! I’ve been wanting to get into makeup, but I don’t want to go to crazy, I just want to get simple basic stuff like concealer, foundation and powder. What would be the best, but cheapest foundation that doesn’t crease and pretty much stays on for a few hours. I want to stay within a 10 dollar price range.😊
does anyone know of a good setting spray that’ll both keep my makeup in place all day and prevent it from looking crusty?? i’ve tried the nyx matte finish setting spray but it doesn’t work for me :( every time i hug my boyfriend or a friend, my makeup leaves a mark on their shirt...any suggestions on what i should try? thank you!
