i am a senior in high school so my skin is pretty young, but i really recommend this to people with more mature skin because the illumination this product provides just lifts the skin tremendously and gives the face an ethereal glow

- Sephora User

sales assoc tried cc+ illumination on me with heavenly luxe brush and it was good medium coverage, not mask like and the sparkle did a great job a blurring the lines and pores

- Ulta User

blends well

i love that this is blendable and my skin looks amazing

- Ulta User

i have searched for the best foundation since high school (i’m now 22) and yes there have been some good ones here and there- but when i discovered this it cosmetics foundation two years ago, i fell in love with the fresh pretty smell, the satin like hydrating feel, how it doesn’t make me break out more than the usual, gives me plenty of coverage, blends very easy/nicely, and even makes my skin have a pretty glow to it

- Sephora User

i love the way this product feels on my skin and the smooth and natural coverage it provides for aging skin

- Ulta User

after using it for a week now, i've gotten compliments on how perfect my skin looks, and i've even noticed a difference in how my skin looks without the cc cream on too

- Ulta User

i truly hope this review helps as this perfecting finishing veil makes my skin look amazing while blurring my fine lines and pores

- Qvc User

color accuracy

however, upon using it a few times, i've noticed that it oxidizes

- Sephora User

i don't know what happened, if it was the way i applied it or if it oxidized but i've never had a product like this turn me into an oompa loompa

- Ulta User

you can’t see it in regular lighting but if you turn your phone flashlight on it’s straight up edward cullen

- Sephora User

it's ashy, & highlights all my pores & fine lines

- Sephora User

i’m so picky with my makeup i’m glad i finally found a powder that covers while keeping my skin look clear, natural, and feel fresh, love

- Sephora User

this is the first "dewy" finish foundation i've ever owned- i typically prefer a natural finish

- Sephora User

medium coverage

i'm light to barely medium coverage

- Ulta User

it is medium coverage and i wear it over the ulta bb cream which is a lightweight foundation and it is perfect

- Ulta User

best use

packing product

is much preferred to the time consuming layering of product even with a nice finish

- Ulta User

when i want to get out the door i don't want to be layering on products to get sunscreen and de-shine (they are usually opposites)

Sweaty from afar, glittery up close

I use the regular version in Light daily. It's good for that no-makeup makeup look. I apply it with my fingers to get the sheerest coverage, but go heavy on the undereye area to help cover up my dark circles. I'm in my late 20s, have normal skin that can get a little dry in the winter, some nascent fine lines around my eyes, ruddy cheeks, an occasional pimple, don't have particularly large pores; in short, I have pretty good skin (mega undereye circles notwithstanding) that I just like to even out and protect with some SPF.I got a sample of this Illumination to see if it were less matte than the original version. It was extremely humid when I got it, so my normal skin was a little sweatier than usual. I tried this before work one morning and noticed right away that I looked really sweaty. I figured it's probably just the humidity, I'll powder it. When I powdered it, it didn't look very illuminating, just ok. I figured I'd come back to it when we moved into fall, maybe it's not a good product for warmer months? Finally got around to trying this sample again on a cooler weekend. Again, I looked sweaty. I looked closer and realized that there were little bits of glitter in every crevice of my face. Glitter in my undereyes is NOT what I want. It looked like a subtle version of that roll-on glitter I used to get ~2003 for middle school dances.I guess this works for some folks? I'm confused by the reviews that say emphatically that it's not glittery--sure, it's not noticeable from afar, but it's definitely there. You can see it if you swatch it on your hand. I think this is one of those products that photographs better than it looks in real life. I was trying to get a photo of the glittery finish, and I couldn't. Clearly there are people for whom this works, but do be aware that, even though the product says that it "enhance[s] skin brightness without glitter or shimmer," whatever non-shimmer or glitter component they're using looks a like glitter on my skin. Less

Absolutely love it

At first I was apprehensive about buying this because I'm 23 and a lot of reviews say this is for mature skin. My aunt has mature skin and uses this and looks INCREDIBLE so I just had to try it anyway.Let me start by saying I have very sensitive combination skin. It starts off dry at the beginning of my day and becomes oily towards the end of the day. I was worried about this seeing as many reviews said this was greasy but let me tell you, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Before purchasing this I had bought the Becca backlight primer because the Ulta associate recommended mixing it with my current BB cream (Smashbox). It did nothing for me and is the same price as IT CC cream and without any of the benefits. After using Smashbox BB cream for two years now, I am giving them up for this product. It gives a beautiful glow (only buy this if you want a true glow, otherwise stick with the regular formula). It isn't glittery, it's simply beautiful. I have large pores and it does look a little odd up close (I mean RIGHT in front of my face close) but with a bit of setting powder it becomes non issue. You only need very little product and a great blending brush. This makeup has the BEST COLOR CORRECTION of anything I've ever used and that alone will keep me repurchasing. It works so well with the rest of my makeup routine and it is my new holy grail foundation. If you have issues with oily skin but want to try this awesome product, use a good primer and after you finish your makeup lightly dust a mattifying setting powder (I use NYX HD translucent compact powder) and you're good to go. I also use Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray and with these simple steps there is no reason this product wouldn't last all day or work for someone who has combination skin like me or even oily skin.I am a makeup junkie and highly recommend this product. It is definitely worth a try because it took my entire face to the next level. Hope this review helped any of those with young, combination or oily skin! Less

When I bought this I was experiencing a really bad allergic reaction on my face after using a moisturizer that didn't react well with my skin, which left my forehead looking tomato red and caused my whole face to become one giant dry patch. It wasn't easy to cover that up with makeup and looked even worse because there were foundation covered dry flakes all over my skin. Long story short, this allergic reaction was horrible and made my skin look gross and unhealthy. So I bought this just because I had been looking for a new foundation and since I really like the natural face makeup look and summer was right around the corner, I bought this cc cream since I had a good experience with It Cosmetics' original cc cream and I prefer to use dewy foundations....After my first application, I knew I was going to be repurchasing this product. It didn't accentuate my dry flakes and made my skin's recovery an easy process since it made it look like there wasn't even anything wrong with my skin. I highly recommend this to anyone who's having a tough time with their dry skin. It's not as full coverage as the original cc cream, but it allows your skin to peek through the makeup while giving it a perfected glow. This CC cream is perfect for everyday wear, but it's a great product for every occasion. Even though it is light-medium coverage, I'll build it up a little bit when I go out and it still looks so natural and pretty. Honestly, the little sparkles really are only evident on my skin when I pump the product onto my hand before using a beauty blender to blend it into my face. If you don't blend it properly, then you don't get the illuminated finish. Just like every other makeup product, you have to work with it to get the finish you desire, instead of just slapping it on your face and going out the door which most of the people who attacked this product probably do.I use to love full coverage foundations but this CC cream totally changed the way I like my face makeup to look. I am a senior in high school so my skin is pretty young, but I really recommend this to people with more mature skin because the illumination this product provides just lifts the skin tremendously and gives the face an ethereal glow. Will definitely repurchase this many many times... Less

I never give 5 stars.

Alright. I'm a 27 year old, Half Caucasian, half Cherokee woman. My skin is naturally an olive, light/medium, complexion with warm undertones. Since I have a lot of Cherokee (natives have naturally oily, large pores) in me, I've suffered from very oily skin, blackheads, acne, pimples, most of my life. When I was a teenager, my main issue was blackheads on the sides of my face. Nothing I did or used made them go away. Now that I'm 27, my blackheads have went to "closed comedones" now. Closed comedones are those pesky, flesh colored bumps all over your face that don't pop like a normal pimple. The cause is from your pore being completely blocked from dirt, oil, sebum, ect. Nothing makes them go away, so I just have to deal with it. I'm a YouTuber (The Cherokee Gypsy) so makeup and beauty is my hobby. I have an out of this world collection of makeup, but don't wear it often at all, due to my very sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. ALL makeup breaks me out, so for the most part, I don't wear makeup. I go natural every day. With that being said, sometimes I try to "pop" my flesh colored bumps due to frustration, only making the problem worse, my skin bruises, and scars, becomes red. I purchased this IT cosmetics illuminating CC cream in the shade "medium" and it's the perfect shade for my skin tone. Since I don't wear makeup, and have such a troubled face, this is my holy Grail, go to cc cream I apply when my skin is in terrible condition. I've been using this product (not every day) going on 8 months, and it's seriously one of the best cc creams I've ever used. Since foundations break me out, this is a great alternative. I don't like cakey makeup, but like medium coverage, just enough to cover my acne scars, and this baby does the trick. I'm picky, and I absolutely LOVE this product! I apply with the it brushes by Ulta complexion brush, and it gives my oily skin a luminous, even, flawless, appearance, and stays that way until I take it off at night. This truly is a 5 star product if you ask me. For troubled, oily, large pores, acne prone skin, this works like a charm covering your scars, while not appearing cakey. If you don't like luminous, then get the original, but I enjoy the luminous the best. Like I said, I rarely wear makeup, but when I need coverage, this is the ONLY product I use. Will repurchase another when I run out of this one. This also has anti-aging benefits too, so your getting best of both worlds. I highly recommend this product if you have skin like mine, and even if you don't. This is the only cc cream that doesn't make my acne and closed comedones worse. Stays put all day long, even without a setting spray. Less

Love the Radiance, Coverage, and Protection!

I've used the regular IT Cosmetics CC Cream and thought I'd give the Illumination a try because I'm always seeking products that can give my 57-year old skin a youthful, radiant finish.I've tried countless foundations, CC/BB creams, tinted moisturizers, and tinted highlighters in all their permutations and price ranges and this is the only product that gives my skin a nice radiance/glow without making me look like a juvenile or disco-queen AND it covers hyperpigmentation spots and redness around my nose AND it's a physical sunscreen of SPF 50.Yes, there is some micro sparkle, but in spots where I don't want quite so much illumination (tip of the chin and nose, upper forehead along the hairline, and along the jawline (jowls, ugh!), I simply add a light dusting of my regular Bye-Bye Pores Powder and those areas become perfectly satin-like. Not that aging dried-out matte look, but a youthful hint of glow.I find that the CC cream + powder doesn't crease in fine lines or exaggerate my pores, which are slightly on the large size due to a childhood spent in the Florida sun (sans SPF). I don't have a lot of deep wrinkles, so can't provide insight there. But, I do have fine lines below my eyes, some crows feet, and lines on my forehead that are slightly deeper. And this CC cream does not exaggerate them at all. To avoid buildup under my eyes where there are creases/fine lines, I wet my beauty blender sponge in warm water, squeeze out all the excess water, and then dab a few times under my eyes with the pointy end of the sponge. The warmth and slight dampness of the sponge smooths the Cream and Powder and removes any potential product build-up that could accentuate the lines/creases.Typically I don't use brushes to apply my foundations, CC Creams, and tinted moisturizers - opting instead for the warmth of my fingers, or a warm, damp beauty blender - but this brush works beautifully. The first time I tried it with the brush, I used way too much product and looked like I was wearing a mask. Now, I apply a small pump of the CC cream on the back of my hand and lightly dip the brush tip into the product and then dab, dab, dab it onto my skin in sections (cheeks, forehead, around the nose, etc.) I keep doing this until all the product is gone from my hand. Then, I take the brush and keep blending the product to ensure imperfections are covered and there is sufficient SPF protection. Then, I add the Bye-Bye powder per above. This application method works great and gives my skin a really pretty, radiant finish. In terms of color, I'm light-skinned with neutral undertones (some yellow and a couple areas of redness) and the Medium color works perfectly. It's slightly warm enough to give some life to my skin, but not so warm that it looks yellow. If you're super pale, this color might a tad dark and you'd want to opt for Light or Fair. I've used regular IT CC Cream in Light in the past, and while it works with my skin color and tone, it makes me look too pale and washed out with my light blonde hair. I'm usually a Light in most CC Creams and Tinted Moisturizers, never a medium, but medium in the IT CC Cream seems a bit lighter than most, and it's a great match.Overall, VERY HAPPY with this purchase. Less

I‘ve never really liked wearing foundation because it feels heavy and makes me feel like I’m going to break out. Are there any lightweight concealers to hide my blemishes? Or any face powder you guys recommend to wear by itself??

DryDry Skin
I have dry skin, and I am looking for a quick and easy pressed powder foundation that I can apply quickly in the car on my way to work. I am also on a budget, and don’t want to pay an arm and a leg! Can anyone recommend a product that won’t dry out the skin, and leaves a more satin finish, rather than matte? #lookingfor #dryskin #bestproduct

This is seriously a lie changer. It’s CC based, so it won’t dry out you skin, and it’s surprisingly full coverage. Not to mention, it has spf
