I'm AMAZED! Wow!!

This product is so amazing, I had to write a review. I hesitated on purchasing this product because I was happy with my current mineral makeup. But, I really needed a higher SPF for daily use because I do weekly chemical peels that make my skin very sensitive to the sun. I'm also prone to hyper-pigmentation, so that's another reason to keep a really strong sun protection product in my arsenal. I live in HOT, HUMID, SUNNY, Florida, and most cream based products like this slide right off of my face at the first sign of humidity, or sweat. This product doesn't budge in the humidity, and today I was running all over the place at work with a broken A/C; so I was really HOT, and sweating around my hairline. I was so worried that I'd have product running down my face. However, once I finally got a break, I went to the ladies room, and to my surprise my face still looked perfect; damp, but perfect. I blotted the sweat away, and added a quick layer of Bye Bye Pores to touch up. When I returned to my office my office-mate asked if I just went and re-applied my makeup. I proudly, said, "No, I just blotted, and touched up with my usual powder". She said that my skin looked as fresh as it did when I arrived in the morning. We were both amazed. After a long day of working in the heat my face still looks fresh. I only wish I had been using this product all along. I've never had a product hold up under such extreme conditions, and still continued to get compliments on my complexion. Another thing I LOVE about this product, is that I do NOT need an additional concealer for my under eye darkness, or broken capillaries on my nose. This CC Cream covers everything with one quick coat. For me, I apply it like I would a moisturizer to my entire face. I goes on like skincare, and feels like skincare, not like a full coverage foundation at all. I do follow with It's Bye Bye Pores finishing powder, and Sweet matte apple cheek stain. This is a winning combination that looks, and feels natural, and best of all it lasts all day long. I'm truly AMAZED!! The only drawback of this product is that it's a bit hard to remove, which in my mind is understandable because it lasts so long. And, physical sunscreens are notoriously difficult to remove. So, I do recommend using a Clarisonic to make sure you've removed all of the product. I think washing twice, or Cold Cream with a warm rag would do the trick too. I ordered this CC Cream in the Light shade, and it is perfect for me. When I first saw it come from the tube I was concerned that it would be too dark, but with the right amount of blending this CC Cream disappeared into my skin just like a decadent moisturizer would. Lastly, I want to mention that a little bit of this product goes a very long way. One pump is more than enough to cover my entire face. I can even get by on a half of a pump, and then I add a bit more to areas I'd normally apply concealer to. The product is build-able, so, I recommend starting with a very small amount ,and then adding more as you see fit to meet your individual coverage needs. I know I've practically written a book here, but I cannot say enough good things about this AMAZING PRODUCT. I really love it, I highly recommend it, and I never want to be without out it(IT). Thanks to the innovative, Jamie Kern Lima, for one of the most amazing cosmetic products I've ever used. Thanks to QVC for introducing me to this innovative brand. I'm excited to apply this product daily!! Love, Love, Love!! Give it a try, ladies. You will not be disappointed. « less

::MORE THAN 5 STARS::

Heads up, guys... this isn't going to be a short review. I'm absolutely head-over-heels in LOVE with this product, and thank you in advance for letting my share my experience!!I initially purchased this back in April during the launch on QVC. I was going to Aruba and didn't feel like my loose mineral makeup (which I'd worn for almost 10 years) was going to do it for me. I wanted to keep my easily tanned skin as hydrated as possible, while still getting some nice, even coverage. My skin is very acne-prone with the wrong product, and I was very nervous to try it, but Jamie convinced me. I took the leap and ordered both the Medium and Tan, not knowing which would match. I wasn't too keen on spending the extra money, but I knew I could always return it if it just didn't suit my skin. However, if I did like it, I figured I can use the tan in the Summer, Medium in Winter and mix then in-between.At 32, I am still bothered by the occasional breakout, and always try to choose oil-free, non-comedogenic products for my face. My concerns NOW include lines, wrinkles, and dullness on top of acne. I worked for various cosmetics companies when I was a teenager into my mid twenties, and I was constantly broken out. There weren't such things as BB and CC creams back then - just a tinted moisturizer, which did absolutely nothing to cover any problem areas. I then used mineral foundation for a number of years, that is, until this product came to my door. The tube says "YOUR SKIN BUT BETTER" - and I can attest that statement is absolutely true. I dot the cream all over my face and blend into my skin with a nice, weighted foundation brush. My skin immediately glows and feels amazingly smooth. Part of this, of course, is thanks to my Clarisonic and Philosophy skin care products - however, I can truly say that I've never experienced such an amazing product, which happens to give full, natural coverage without the breakouts!!My clients used to ask me for a product that makes their skin look "radiant", and at 19 years old, I didn't quite understand why women would ask for it. Now, in my 30's, I TOTALLY get it. I abused my skin all through my 20's with constant tanning, salicylic acid acne treatments, excessive drinking, etc. I totally took it for granted, and now I regret what I had done. Obviously, now I realize the importance of SPF, and I love that this cream contains a natural one. Also, this product gives my skin the "radiance" that my clients used to long for, and frankly, I need it!! I hardly need any concealer with this cream, but it is incredibly lightweight and doesn't feel like I have spackle on my face, like other foundations. I am constantly being told that I look a few years younger while wearing the CC cream, because it gives the skin a very youthful looking non-oily glow. I will also tell you that unlike my previous mineral foundation, as well as those gross old foundations I used to wear and sell, this is sweat proof!! I walked around Boston on a 100F day in July, and my skin, although slightly glistening, looked exactly like it did when I left the hotel room. I was impressed to say the least.My favorite part of all is how flawless my skin looks in photos. Sometimes I truly can't believe it's actually MY SKIN I'm looking at. I have a little sun damage and scarring from picking over the years, but the flaws are absolutely visible - that is, until I use my cream. Then I look airbrushed. It's almost like a magic trick.Oh, and my Fall shade is a pump of Medium with a dab of tan mixed in. And yes, these have lasted me almost 6 months. TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY!!!Please forgive my long review, but if this testimonial helps even one person who is on the fence about trying this product and has skin like me, then my job is done!!I swore before I would NEVER, EVER put a liquid on my face again for coverage. Now, I swear that I will never use another product. This is an absolute Godsend for my skin. « less

Love It After Exchanging Because Of Smell...

I had purchased the small trial/travel size from my local Ulta and fell if love with it. I use my fingers or a damp beauty blender to apply, then if I need it, apply a second coat-both coats sparingly! I set with Bye Bye Pores or any number of different brands of powders I have, then do contour, blush and powder.I decided to go for it and buy the gigantic size from QVC, since I order most of my IT products on here anyway with EZ pay. When I went to use this large tube for the first time, I noticed it had a different scent than the first one, and seemed extremely dry. This was not the CC cream I knew and loved! I called QVC, and they had me send it back with their shipping label, and promptly sent me a new tube before even receiving mine. QVC's customer service will do anything to make things right if you're dissatisfied with something! This new one was my CC cream I adored! Sometimes products with SPF turn before they should, or maybe it was a bad batch or something happened to it in storage. I've had SPF's for my body turn before they should, it just happens sometimes. I suggest any of you who didn't care for it, to try out the sample tubes at your local beauty stores to see if it makes a difference. Also, the CC Illumination is amazing and works better for some of my friends than the regular. I'm lucky enough to be able to use both, and I mix them sometimes for an in-between look!I have a girlfriend who has oily skin and wasn't thrilled with the feeling of the regular CC, so I had her apply a mattifying primer first, and now she loves and uses it daily too! You can try something like the one that fills pores (you all know the one, it's a benefit if you do) and she instead will sometimes uses her mattifying setting spray on her skin after moisturizer but before the CC cream and it works amazingly! You can use setting sprays before your makeup too ladies, then also as a finishing touch! The CC cream isn't for everyone, but always remember you can exchange or return your items to QVC or any store with a receipt! Using the techniques I mentioned, may work for you with this and other products that you really want to use. Who cares if it's a 20-in-1 product, even the high end foundations I have need primers, concealers and other products to make them work properly for me. There is no such thing as any one product that will work for every single person without needing tweaking for some of us. I'm proud to say I'm an IT Girl! Thanks Jamie and team!!! « less

Something has changed in IT Cosmetics formulas :(

I started using IT Cosmetics a little over 2 years ago and they were amazing. I'm in my mid-to-late 40's and needed full coverage without having it settle into lines and pores. I started out with the CC+ Cream and liked it. Then I tried Confidence in a Compact and LOVED it. That was my go-to!Within the last year or so however, I feel the products have changed. They don't cover as well, they're cakey, they settle into lines, pores, etc almost instantly. Last night for example, I put on CC+ Cream about 6:15pm, went to an indoor event, and by 10pm when I looked in the mirror, the makeup was blotchy and caked into my frown lines and around my eyes. In short, it looked horrible after only about 4 hours!!! Worse yet is the way it comes off on EVERYTHING! I hugged a dark-skinned friend last night and was so embarrassed to see a huge patch of MY light-medium makeup on her skin!! It comes off on glasses, clothes, hands, etc. It's a mess. It never used to be this bad. I've had similar problems with the Confidence in a Compact over the last year.Recently, I tried their newest product, Confidence in a Foundation. I was IN LOVE!!! All of the problems I'd had with the CC+ Cream and the Confidence in a Compact were gone with this new product. It stayed put, it wasn't slimy, it didn't settle into my lines, etc. I managed to get ONE bottle before I couldn't find it anymore. I contacted Customer Care who told me that the product had been discontinued after its initial run because they'd decided it "didn't fit into their product portfolio". What?!?!? When I expressed my disappointment and how I thought this product was their best so far, the rep told me "yes, we've been hearing that from a lot of IT Girls". So....I'm left to wonder...apparently IT Cosmetics is only interested in sub-par products?? I'll be looking for a new foundation, so if anyone reading this has any recommendations OTHER than IT Cosmetics, send them my way...because I'm not interested in a sub-par company. Less

Makeup Artist's favorite foundation

I'll start off by saying that I am a makeup artist, and since makeup is my job and my hobby it is fair to say that I have tried dozens of foundations. I am in my mid-twenties with dry skin and hormonal acne, and I wear the shade fair. Although this product does not work for everyone, I have thought personally been using this for the past two years religiously. Every time I try to switch up my foundation, I always go back to this. Now, after a couple years of using this product and repurchasing it multiple times, I can give an in-depth review. This product can take many by surprise, because they are used to BB and CC creams being a light coverage with a thinner consistency. This acts more as a medium coverage with the consistency of a thicker and creamier foundation. However, it can be built up to heavy coverage or worn as a thinner layer-but some just cant get past the feel of a thicker consistency. For myself, I have a lot to cover- it does an excellent job cancelling out uneven skintones, lighter blemishes, scarring, etc- yet i do still need concealer in areas that my breakouts are particularly bad or dark (i love using shape tape concealer by tarte with this). I find that this product works the great on mature skin and anyone with normal to dry skin, yet I have seen people with oily skin pull it off somehow too. Although I layer about two pumps on my face (a lot because like I said- i have a lot to cover), it never appears cakey throughout the day. Because i use a hydrating oil and primer underneath, It does take about 30 minutes for it to settle into my skin for a flawless finish. Before then it looks like it is sitting on top of the skin-patience is key! My favorite way to apply this is actually not with an IT brush, but a damp beauty blender (it helps work it into the skin better and gives a more even finish for me without clinging to dry spots). My skin is too dry to use a setting powder, so i set it with the Urban Decay 24/7 priming spray and it works beautifully. This foundation is hydrating and gives a luminous finish but does not break up on my skin throughout the day. It may need some touching up in problem areas towards the end of the day, but holds up better than the majority of high-end foundations I have tried. The packaging is good with the pump, aka sanitary. However, I absolutely hate how the silver can rub off towards the end of the foundations life and little flakes end up everywhere. To get the most out of my foundation, when no more pumps out i will cut it in half and scrape the rest out into a small jar (typically there is still a good amount left). Another con is the shade range (Come on IT, its about time you expand this line to include more shades- I have many clients who love this foundation but have to buy two to mix, including myself when i get some sun in the summer). Anyways, I don't see myself parting with this CC anytime soon! « less

Hello lovelies, anybody know of a good talc free, medium to buildable coverage, that is semi matte definitely not all the way matte liquid foundation? And a good everyday lightweight foundation or bb cream?

does anyone have a good tinted moisturizer they use on combination skin? 🙈 i’m currently using Florence by Mills but it’s too dry for my skin and doesn’t have a natural/dewy finish so i mix it in with a maybelline tinted moisturizer (for color) and ponds moisturizer to help :/ i want something with sheer to light coverage, doesn’t look cakey, and has a natural or dewy finish!

Anyone know of a great tinted moisturizer that won’t make my skin look flakey or dry when applied to my skin, I’ve tried Clinique moisture surge and first aid beauty’s shade rage isn’t light enough for my skin. I have super dry, sensitive, acne prone skin. I’ve applied tinted moisturizer with my hands which left my skin flakey, then applied moisturizer and applied with a brush but still had the same affect, am I doing something wrong?? I want a natural finish without the hassle of a lot of makeup

I love using IT Cosmetics CC cream! It’s a little pricey, but a little goes a long way when using it as an everyday tinted moisturizer. It’s also buildable and I can use it as a foundation if I want more coverage sometimes. Never been dry or flakey for me.

Does anyone know of a foundation that is medium - full coverage that is NOT cakey or look like i have 5 pounds of makeup on my face. So a more natural looking foundation that also covers. I have normal - dry skin but no dry patches. It can be drugstore or high end but i would like to find a nice high end foundation. Im also fair skinned. I would really appreciate any replys!!! Thankyou in advance

I need a good hydrating, full coverage concealer. I’ve been using the tarte 16 hour wear, although it is hydrating, it isn’t giving me the coverage that I want. I have dry, very sensitive, and acne prone skin. I have tried other concealers such as maybelline, but it still gives my skin that dry patchy look even though I have a heavy moisturizer on. I would like to be able to have it match my skin tone since I don’t wear makeup as much. I need some recommendations!!

I use this cc cream every day and i love it. It has buildable coverage and feels light and good on the skin. If you’re looking for drugstore, the Covergirl clean matte bb cream is a pretty good dupe for this stuff
