Pore Clearing Clay Mask 2X

I am SO disappointed in this being sold at Sephora!!!! I selected this as a sample with one of my orders. Totally my fault. I did not read the ingredients. I assumed they would all be great for my skin. I struggle with small blackheads from time to time and occasional acne. After getting my skin care routine in order it has really helped to balance out my skin and I have not gotten acne and only have occasional blackheads. So I like to use a charcoal or clay mask 1-2x a week to clean all of the sebum out of my pores. I think everyone should use a charcoal or clay mask atleast once a week-no matter what skin type you are!! Seeing that this mask had clay and volcanic ash made me really interested in trying it! I can honestly say I have never tried a product with volcanic ash. The mask was somewhat hard to apply to my skin. It was creamy but it was very dry. I was able to cover my entire face, I am just used to very creamy masks. Applying it to my face it actually felt grainy, which I was surprised about. It felt fine while I had it on for the 10 minutes. It did not burn or bother my skin at all. Once it came time to rinse it off was when I noticed a HUGE problem! It actually HURT to rinse off! It felt like tiny pieces of glass while rinsing my face!!! I have used exfoliating masks before like the Origins Rose clay mask that uses jojoba beads (very good ingredient for exfoliating!) I have also used sugar and coffee scrubs but realized that they are too harsh for skin. I went to look up the ingredients in this mask and it contains WALNUT SHELL POWDER!!!! That is HARSH on skin and it is no wonder it hurt my face while rinsing it off!!!! Through out the entire day my skin felt and looked inflamed, it burnt and it did feel like there were tiny scratches all over it!!! I used a moisturizing mask immediately afterward and layered on heavy moisturizer after that and again at night. I will NEVER use a mask with shell powder, sugar or coffee again!!! Less

I have absolutely fallen in love with this clay mask. I have been using it twice a week for a month since i got it. This clay mask is different from other masks because it doesn't completely dry my skin out, therefore i can use it twice a week. I really recommend this product for those suffering form oily and acne prone skin, my blackheads have drastically reduced and my pores have become quite smaller. I will definitely need to stock up on this, especially for the summer!

I received this product complimentary from innisfree. I honestly really loved this mask! Normally clay masks leave my dry skin feeling really tight and extra dry, but this product didn't do that at all. It didn't feel harsh or stripping and left my skin smooth and clean. To use, I put this on my face and let it sit 10-15 minutes then massaged into a lather before rinsing. It's also important to note that there isn't much of a scent with this product. Normally I get some kind of burning or minor irritation from the majority of the masks I use, but this one was such a breeze and didn't cause me any issues. It cleaned my pores and left my skin glowing! There was no redness or irritation after, either. I didn't feel like I needed to slather my face is a thick, heavy moisturizer after using which I really love because it gives me more freedom of when I can use it. This mask is definitely a winner and I couldn't be more impressed with Innisfree. Less

After using this product for a while, 2-3 times a week, my skin has improved a lot. In conjunction with other products I use, I noticed that my pores are much smaller (especially around my inner cheeks/nose area) and my skin texture has been improving as well, though I'm not sure if my dark spots are fading due to the mask or my other skincare products.At first I was surprised with how small the container was, but after the first use, I realized a little goes a long way and I didn't use a lot of it so it will really last you a good while. When applying it I used a little spatula I had from one of my other face masks which helped with the whole application process and I noticed that the mask dries pretty fast which was convenient so I didn't have to wait too long. The only complaint I have is that taking off the mask is a bit tedious and messy which is kind of annoying but with all the benefits of the clay mask, I'll just have to deal with it.After washing off the mask my skin feels so soft and smooth it's amazing, not to mention how refreshing it is as well because of the deep clean it gives you. So overall I'm in love with this mask and it's my go to. I also recommend this for people with acne-prone skin as well. « less

I received this mask complimentary from Innisfree but this is my honest opinion.What I love about innisfree is that it?s a good affordable brand delivering effective products! This clay mask worked great for my combination skin. I like to apply the mask on clean (dry skin) and wait around 10-15mins for it to completely dry (as the mask dries, it gives of a cool tightening effect that I enjoy). Then I like to take a little warm water and massage my skin in circular motions (1-2mins) and then wash off with lukewarm water. Overall I really enjoy this mask! The packaging is small (perfect for travel) but since you need just a little per use (I use this mask 2x a week), this bottle should last a while. Its a super gentle formula that doesn?t dry out my face and leaves my skin feeling super smooth. Not to mention it?s sooo affordable!! I highly recommend! Less
