Kind of disappointed with this

I thought the formula would be creamier considering the squalane so I was a little disappointed about that. Its not a bad product, it's just unbelievably dry and needs to be warmed up before applying so I put it in my bra to get it nicer consistency and it's a little *less* dry this way. I bought it in the shade cream and it's not as opaque as I want it to be but cancels out most of my eyelid discoloration. It's long lasting, and good at preventing creasing but doesn't hold onto eyeshadow pigment enough for my liking

Works for me

I can understand why everyone is disappointed in this product because when I first used it I said the same thing. It was not as creamy as I thought it would be. I usually use the nyx eyeshadow base in skin tone and that is so emollient and blends effortlessly, so I thought the cream shade in this would be a perfect dupe. It is dry but I love that about it for my oily eyelids. I don't have to set it with powder like I do with the nyx and it still makes my eyeshadows pop and blend and last all day, NO CREASES!! Like at all. With nyx I could get some creasing by the end of the day especially if I used any topper type shadows like colourpop super shocks, or artist couture diamond lights. Any shadow with a more creamy base. But this held my eyeshadows all day no creasing. This will be a go to for sure for long days and long nights. It's still useable, just not what was expected Less

Finally, a primer for super oily lids!

I've been searching for a new eye primer for a while now and took a chance on this before there were reviews. I am so glad I did! I have very oily lids and few primers work for me. I like that this one keeps the creasing at bay all day but doesn't do it by being too drying or cakey. I have tried SO MANY primers over the years, and so far, this one is the winner. It enhances color, seems to facilitate blending, and my shadows stay put for the entire day, no matter the brand of shadow. My first test was Natasha Denona shadows, which normally initially apply beautifully, wear off on my oily lids quickly. This kept them on all day. I can justify the price tag of this primer if it allows me to use all of the shadows and palettes I have put aside because of their staying power.

Go to primer for 7+ years

My go to primer for over 7 years. Leaves skin looking naturally perfect with anything placed on top of it, or nothing at all. I have combination skin (oily t zone), sensitive skin and also occasionally acne prone and i this primer leaves my skin looking better even after i remove it. It goes on lightweight and dries that way too. I agree with the other reviews that it does begin to settle strangely in the glass bottle - especially the tip that is exposed to air. My t zone remains a tiny bit oily throughout the day, but I simply fix that by either blotting or applying a mattifying primer in that area.

MAC Painterly Dupe!

To me PERSONALLY, this is a MAC Painterly dupe in that it lasts longer and just works better. It has a firmer, dry texture and could be best applied with a clean finger. I have a desk job so I am not working as hard as someone who moves around alot. It might work differently for someone who has a more physically demanding job, but I do have very oily eyelids and this primer made my eyeshadow stay in place with no creasing for a total of 8 hours. At the 10-12 hour mark I saw a bit of creasing but it was not immediately noticeable. This primer does perform very well for the price point. I have yet to put it through the ringer at the gym or while doing housework.
