not good for under eye

it just did not work for under eye or smaller areas

- Sephora User

concealers don't crease on me often, but this showed every single line under my eye

New favourite concealer!

I used to use Make Up Forever Camouflage Cream Pot exclusively for concealing, but I tried this on a whim and now it's my absolute favourite!Pros:- Perfect colour match. I'm Asian and I often find it challenging to find a concealer/foundation with the correct undertone for me. But Fenty Beauty has 20 shades to choose from and the shades all vary from a pink, neutral, to cool undertones.-It feels light on the skin and not cakey/greasy when you layer. The concealer starts off with a creamy texture when you swipe it on your face, but then dries fairly quickly into a powder like finish.-The stick provides an easy application and blends easily, but you may need to warm it up with your fingers/hand to blend more easily.Cons:-May require multiple layers for full coverage like acne scars.-Too many layers may result in creasing (under eye area).Overall, I would definitely recommend this product. The larger selection did make it a tad harder to narrow down the right shade for me. I found myself unsure between 2 shades since they both seemed to match. So, I would recommend getting a second opinion from a friend or Sephora staff to find the perfect shade, because with 20 shades to choose from, you can definitely find the perfect shade! « less

Different formula

I use matte matchsticks for highlighter, concealer, and sometimes a minimal foundation on certain areas of the face. I struggled to figure out how to use this product for quite awhile, and I found that my favourite method is to not layer too many products with it. I’ll use the Fenty primer to smooth, and then use this right on top (sometimes without the primer having dried down, so that it’s a dewy application). If you watch the online tutorials, they talk about this product drying down to a powder, and that’s very true. It’s also why this product is amazing for me, due to having an oily T zone & oversized pores. I’m free from having it slide, just as I would be with a powder, but I feel that it gives me a better coverage and finish than an actual powder. I very rarely put powder on top, and will only put a slight amount in the under-eye area that is most likely to crease. Some of the video tutorials show using the foundation sparingly, and only using it in the centre of the face (and sheering out as you get to the outer edges of the face). I do the same approach with the highlighter, and then go back with foundation in areas of the face that don’t need to be highlighted (lip, forehead, lower cheek etc.). I find that the edges will blend very well between the two products.Another tip, also from the vids, is to warm up the product before applying it. You can do that by rubbing a finger across the surface (or rubbing the match stick on the back of your hand), so that it will warm up with some body heat a bit. In practice, I find this makes the product more pliable, and a lot easier to apply.I get so frustrated with product sliding on my nose, so it’s refreshing to find something that won’t do that. Less

Goes on smooth like BUTTA!

I absolutely love the matte skin stixx. Because i am the shade 370 in the foundation but i have hyper pigmentation i had to do. I bought the foundation & a custom match stixx trio, plus 1 extra matte skin stick. Because of my hyper pigmentation i needed extra coverage so first i used the shade that exactly matched my foundation to conceal with and it blended perfectly and lovely underneath the foundation of which i fine to be only medium coverage. Only thing ladies i have combination of dry and oily skin in certain areas you MUST exfoliate because the skin Stixx will cling to any dry or flaky skin. Now the second way i used the matte skin Stixx was for highlight shade slightly lighter and contour. Blend beautifully i noticed it’s kind of a cream to powder. I am NOT a MUA by any means i was always afraid of the whole contour & highlighting thing and Fenty Beauty skin Stixx simplified it for me and i feel like a pro! Thanku Rih for making it easy to use for every woman. The Shimmer Stixx are gorgeous and all purpose i will be collecting them all. Also last but certainly not the least, you don’t even use a lot of products because it’s such good quality and highly pigmented a little goes a long way. You definitely get the bang for your buck ladies! Less

Hello fine lines and pores I didn't know I had!

Love the packaging and it was a good colour match but I will be returning it I'm afraid. It's easy to blend and covers that little bit of redness I have around my nose area well but it enhances every little fine line! I don't have deep wrinkles but this just sat on top of my skin and made my pores look larger and fine lines deeper, especially around the eyes. I used Hylamide HA Blur as primer, I set it with Laura Mercier translucent powder and sprayed on Coola to seal it but that didn't stop it from creasing and looking cakey. Perhaps a better choice for oily skin looking for heavier coverage? Disappointed :( the search continues....

My Holy Grail

Let me start this review by saying, I have medium to tan, combination skin (shade 290 in the Pro Filt'r foundation), which is also very sensitive and very textured. I've been struggling with large pores and uneven texture for years and it's starting to get better, but recently I've been trying to use makeup to try to improve my appearance for work and school.I was psyched for the Fenty Beauty launch and I tried out the Pro Filt'r Foundation (and recently the Concealer as well!), but they both seemed a little too heavy for an everyday look for me. BUT, that's where the Match Stix came in.I essentially use the Match Stix as foundation and concealer. I use Wheat and Caramel for my face, and Truffle for contouring . They are lightweight, pigmented, blend like a DREAM, provide enough coverage to help mask my blemishes, and still have a natural-looking finish. I do still use the actual Fenty foundation for more formal occasions, but the Match Stix are my go-to on a day-to-day basis. I've tried wearing it both with and without the Pro Filt'r Primer, and in most cases, it doesn't leave my skin oily or break down/melt off my face from sweat throughout the day. (If you do have dry-ish skin, I'd recommend the Primer, because I've noticed that during the winter it can get a little patchy.)The Match Stix also last all day, don't crease under the eyes or in laugh lines, and don't oxidize at all. They're buildable and I can easily layer them to cover more stubborn blemishes. They're also perfect for contouring and of course, the Shimmer Stix are bomb for highlighting. The only con I'd have to mention is that it's a bit overpriced for the amount of product you get, but it's definitely worth it. So, all in all, an (almost) absolutely perfect product! I use this every day and haven't seen any adverse effects -- no breakouts or anything. I love it! Thank you RiRi!! <3 Less

I want to experiment with a cream contour as I can’t get powders to have the affect I’m looking for. Any suggestions? Also I am SO horrible with shades so if you have any suggestions there too please 🥺

@Match Stix Matte Skinstick in shade truffle i think would be good, it’s very matte and more expensive I’d also recommend just using a darker foundation for contour

How good are fenty match stixs? Are they easy to blend and do they transfer very easily? Also are you able to find your shade easily. Would it be safer to walk in and test it than to order online even though I have the concealer that is my perfect match?! ☺️
