For Oily Girls: what is your bake/powder routine? Do you just bake the t zone? Do you bake and powder? I am really oily in my t zone and I bake and powder but I feel as tho it makes me look cakey. PLEASE tell me what combo you use!!

I use this powder which is amazing. Also before doing anything else (primer, etc) right after toning I use milk of magnesia (weird but works). Keeps me matte for hours but doesn't look cakey!

Forgot to mention I don't need to bake I just powder my t-zone (with more emphasis on forehead + nose areas)

HALPPP!! My makeup continues to slide off my face and transfer so easy and I’m so frustrated. Here is my current whole regiment.. I have large pores and a really oily t-zone.. Wash- philosophy’s purity cleanser Tone- Mario badescu witch hazel rose water Serum- neogen pore aid Moisturizer- Origins Matte moisturizer with willow herb Setting spray- Milani make it last Mac paint pot for t-zone Primer- Covergirl outlast all day or hourglass mineral veil Translucent powder- NCJ cosmetics (Nikkia joy) Foundation- matte fit me poreless or Estée Lauder when I want fuller coverage I set with powder and sometimes bake. What is going on here? I literally touch my nose to itch it and it slips my whole make up! 😔 I’m so discouraged! Thanks so much I’m advance 🙌

Try a primer that is more on the sticky side to help your makeup not move as much. This is a very good base to help makeup last a long time throughout the day. For the setting spray I recommend @All Nighter Setting Spray from urban decay. I use it daily and I absolutely love it! Hope this works for you!💕

Can anyone recommend me a good pressed powder? I’ve been using the Makeup Revolution Bake & Blot and I really like it but I wanna try something new and I like pressed powders more than loose tbh

I love my ciate London extraordinary powder. I dust a little on after moisturizer or primer/before foundation and to set my under eyes and t-zone. It is good for baking but I prefer to use something cheaper. I love the maybelline fit me loose setting powder for that.

Has anyone tried shopping for makeup at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx? I went shopping today for some products and there were so many great inexpensive products that I usually spend so much money on—but I’ve heard mixed reviews ie. the makeup is fake, expired, defective, etc. Can anyone offer any insight? Thank you! #shopping #makeup #luxury #drugstore #help #tips

What happens is stores like Sephora and Ulta overstock. They then send the excess makeup to places like tjmax and marshals. Usually the people who price the products at these places don’t know much about makeup prices and mark them down.

@Alexis Navarro that’s really good to know! I was curious about how TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, and other retailers were getting the products in the first place! I noticed that many of the prices were totally lowballing high end brands (ex. a Kevyn Aucoin highlighter retails for $61, but TJ Maxx charges $17.99 and the label says the product is marked down from $30).

Looking for a good setting spray for oily skin (I currently bake my concealer/foundation so I do want to ease the powdery matte look a bit) that doesn’t cause breakouts. Any suggestions?

This rose water spray is really simple and not drying. Highly recommend for setting and refreshes throughout the day. Sometimes setting sprays with alcohol can dry you out and cause more oiliness. This guy is clean and alcohol free.

hello so i’ve been thinking of trying fake eyelashes because my eyelashes never stay curled no matter what mascara i use. but i generally wear pretty simple/natural makeup and i’ve never tried to put on fake eyelashes. i was wondering if anyone had suggestions for good natural looking fake lashes and any tips for wearing them?

These lashes are perfect for beginners since they have a thin band which makes application easier!!

Looking for a mascara (drugstore or high end) I need length. A mascara that’s so lengthening it looks like I have fake lashes. Help a girl out.

My go-to brands are Ardell and Kiss. This is a before and after of a bride’s eye makeup. These lashes are by Kiss, they’re double stacked and feathery #fauxmink! The band is a little stiff, but not like others I’ve used that are difficult to apply. And I use the Duo brush on glue. This product is formaldehyde and latex free. It dries fairly quick, so no more waiting! What lashes have you tried and what was your experience with them?

Does anyone know anything about using fake eyelashes while having eyelash extensions? Or is it a complete no-no?

I don’t think you should put fake lashes on extensions. The fake lashes will let the lash extensions fall off early.

I can’t put on eyeliner for the life of me, but I love the way it looks so I’ve been using a small eyebrow brush and really dark brown eyeshadow to fake it. Does anyone have any ideas on something a little more permanent that will last the day, but that I can use quickly in the morning (like not liquid liner because I would have to practice and learn)?

Eyeliner pens are so easy and you have way more control than with a liquid eyeliner! Use a credit card as a guide if you need it!

Any tips on preventing foundation separation on the chin and nostril area? I use a primer, bake, and use a setting spray. I don’t know if it’s my products or if I’m doing something wrong.

First making sure that all of your products have the same base. For example water based primer and water based foundation. Or silicone based primer and silicone based foundation. Also another trick I learned is using a good concealer on the problem areas and then adding your foundation on top. I love the Morphe concealer!

I’m having trouble getting the Dewey look. I’ve currently been using the LA colors truly matte foundation, I’ve tried the kat von d liquid to powder it’s just not enough coverage for me, and I tried the Huda foundation and hated it. I love the one I’m using now, I just wish I could find a more dewy foundation, or a powder or setting spray that’s gonna give me a dewy look. I bake under my eyes and apply powder all over my face, and use setting spray, it helps my makeup stay on all day and not fade. I’ve been getting the dewy look with my highlighter, but it doesn’t look natural, soooo any suggestions or tips??

This is the setting spray I use and it gives the perfect dewy glow without making me look greasy. I also use it when I’m not wearing makeup when my skin is feeling a bit dry.

It’s not as effective as powder. But for a cheap option try this loose powder it can be found at most drugstores
