does anyone know of a good moisturizer to make skin smoother, softer?? I would say my skin is pretty normal- my t zone is oily. I don’t really break out, but I have some bumps— textured skin. #skincare #combinationskin #smooth

Amazing at helping to smooth out texture. If you want to trial it before committing to the full size product, they sell a little trial size combo along with the face wash I believe.

What setting spray is a must-have?? I’m struggling with finding the right setting spray. I’ve tried MAC, Elf, Maybelline, Colourpop, and Wet n Wild and I don’t like anyyyy of them. Helppp

Nyx-matte finish setting spray they have , matte and dewy as well both by nyx. you can get them at Walgreens or online on Amazon for cheaper and in a bigger bottle just a little tip hee hee😉☺️✨ I’ve only tried the matte setting spray I have not tried the dewy kind but I’m sure it works just as well the matte one does. It’s amazing my make up stays in place all day love love love this product!!!!

Currently searching for products to use on my birthday and I need advice on primers, longwearing foundations, concealers and powders with no flashback. So far I’m interested in trying Charlotte Tilbury’s most recent foundation and the pressed powder. Any luxury recommendations that are worth the splurge and hold up on combo/oily skin? I struggle with a lot of shine mainly between my brows and around my nose :)

Try Curology. I was skeptical at first and it gave me better skin in a month. There are still acne marks but at least they’re not growing anymore.

So no matter what type of foundation, setting spray, and translucent powder I use my skin ALWAYS gets oily/shiny and caked in my pores. I have tried a TON of remedies and no success 😕 any advice or products? Thank you!

So this could sound crazy but if you have tried a bunch of things your skin could be dehydrated and overproducing oil to compensate. Maybe try extra hydration at night followed by a non stripping cleanser in the morning. I also recommend daily use of niacinamine to help reduce pore size and regulate sebum production.

I have dry, acne prone skin and I have been trying everything to get rid of my acne for the past year! nothing works (curology, neutrogena light mask, acne washes, tea tree oil, mario badescu- you name it!) does anyone have any recommendations for a natural at home remedy for acne? I’m done with all the chemicals ingredients on my face.

I know you said no chems but the only thing that worked for me was 1 session of a chemical peel (ask for 7 layers) and drink ONLY water in place of any other beverage. ONLy WaTeR!! Don’t believe me, look at my before and afters. Still can’t believe it’s me. - 1 session of a strong chemical peel -Drink Water ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Oxy gently in circular motions until face starts feeling tingly. -and an oil free moisturizer! Let me know how it goes! Good luck!

Honestly I did like three to four different sessions of chemical peels and they really were life changing. Unfortunately for me my acne continued so I went on Accutane

I’ve asked for recommendations for foundations a bit lately but I always ask for drugstore products. Now I’m just asking for any suggestions for foundations for dry skin, my go to has been e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation but now with the weather changing even it’s looking kind of dry and flaky on me, even though I’ve switched to my thick moisturizer and prep my skin thoroughly beforehand. I really want to find a foundation with good coverage that’s also very hydrating and I just haven’t had any luck with any I’ve tried so far, so any suggestions are much appreciated.

Under Eye Concealer I have dark under eye bags and Tarte Shap Tape sort of helps, I also like a NARS one too, but I find that they settle into the fine lines around my eyes and make them more visible. Does anyone else notice this? I use setting powder but that doesn’t seem to do anything for the fine lines, anyone have any tips?

I’m no expert on makeup but I have really bad brown circles around my eyes and the best thing I have found is IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Concealer.

I absolutely love the Lash Paradise mascara. I do feel like my lashes look long and full. It doesn’t flake. Also my lashes stay put. I curl my lashes and with a lot of other mascaras they lose their curl as time passes but this one looks the same 12 hours later.

This is going to be lengthy but it’s a skincare routine I’ve learned through trial and error that i swear by :) Morning: Cleanser- daily I use the moisturizing cleanser by the brand Simple and if I’m breaking out I use the Oil-free Grapefruit Acne cleanser by Neutrogena. It has salicylic acid in it so if you’re dry I wouldn’t use this one daily Follow up with toner- on a round cotton bad use the alcohol-free moisturizing witch hazel by the brand Dickensons. If you can find the one with rose water in it that would be ideal:) Serum- I like the Vitamin C serum by Olehenrikson .. it’s a little pricey but sometimes Sephora has deals where you can buy bundles (following up with the rest of your routine ) or another option is a Korean brand that you can find at Cvs. It’s by Elisha Coy and it’s called “Moist Up Hyalurone Ampoule Serum” Next is day time moisturizer, I like the one made the brand Simple (that whole brand is tailored for sensitive skin btw) Eye cream during the day is optional in my opinion, but I like the banana cream by Olehenrikson as well Now night time is a little different: Makeup wipes by the brand Simple first, I like to get the exfoliating ones to really get that first layer of makeup off Cleanser- same as morning Toner-same as morning Sheet masks ** I love using a good sheet mask every 2 days, every other day if I could ! Korean brands are the best in my opinion. I love the brand The Creme Shop, they have tons and you can find it at Cvs. You leave it in for about 20 mins and don’t wash after, rub the excess into your skin Serum- depending on your budget or age.. you can use the same serum as the morning. I like to use one that is super moisturizing and tailored for anti-aging Moisturizer- I always recommend a nighttime lotion with Retinol. If you aren’t into anti-aging, it is really good for evening out your skin tone and texture as well. If you have never used it before, I would look into the brand Roc, they have a nighttime Retinol cream for sensitive skin. If my skin is feeling super dry that day I will even layer that up with a sleeping cream.. I like the one by Simple.. but this step is optional. Finally, eye cream! The one I mentioned for morning is great, I will occasionally use a Retinol eye cream though

I’m in need of a good face primer. I have combo skin, but every time I wear foundation my skin gets super oily. I even wear matte foundation and because of my oily skin my foundation never stays put! I also have enlarged pores in my t-zone that I can never seem to minimize with any primer! Someone help!!! 😭

If you have acne prone/sensitive skin, I would not recommend using a physical exfoliant of any kind. A mild chemical exfoliant would be best! I like The Ordinary 5% lactic acid. It’s gentle, but effective, and should not irritate the skin.

I used Thayer’s Witch Hazel toner on my body acne and it helped a lot. And after I got it under control I started using the Pond’s cream in the pink tub (I can’t remember the exact name but it’s the one for evening out skin tone) and it lightened my acne scarring quite a bit. Also, another thing I think helps keep my body acne at bay, is after I put conditioner in my hair, I put it up with a clamp until I’m ready to wash it out. Hope this helps!
