water resistance

water resistant

the part i loved most about this foundation is that made my skin appear smooth and glowy and at the moment my skin is extremely dry from the skin products i’ve been using to clear my skin after using the ton does waterproof foundation

- Sephora User

it has great coverage and its waterproof

- EstéE Lauder User

does not look caked at all and is a wonder to hide all your imperfections

- EstéE Lauder User

this is a very heavy full coverage foundation

- Sephora User

a tiny bit goes a long, long way as it is extrememly pigment dense, which makes it an excellent lightweight (when used sparingly and blended well) concealer with excellent buildable coverage

- EstéE Lauder User

build able coverage allows you to cater the makeup to your preference, but it is such a great high coverage formula that you really only need a little, and then set it with the double-wear pressed powder

- Macy's User

staying power

it is amazing how it covers everything, leaving me feeling light and my skin smooth/ once i left it on, by accident, all night and the next day it was still the same look

- Macy's User

this is amazingly full coverage, and with a good primer, setting powder and setting spray, this stuff stays in place for 12 hours at least on me, without one powder touch up

- Ulta User

blends well

the coverage is superb, feels great on your skin and definitely improves your skins overall appearance by covering blemishes and evening out skin tone, not greasy, blends well, and lasts from morning to night with no caking whatsoever

- EstéE Lauder User

lightweight, blends perfectly on my skin, ultra full coverage

- EstéE Lauder User

medium coverage

all the "full coverage" foundations i tried actually only gave medium coverage

- EstéE Lauder User

you can wear it as a medium coverage and build it up to full

Concealer in a bottle

I like FULL coverage foundation and I have tried so many foundations that claim to be full but really are not. I have acne and dark dark dark acne scars and this covers them all like no other foundation ever has. I have normal/combination skin and foundation usually start slipping off my face mid-day but this does not.I purchased it for special occasions and have not been able to put it down since the day I bought it because its just so easy and covers absolutely everything without looking cakey. It stays on my face all day, doesn't oxidize, and doesn't make me look an oily mess.To put the coverage into perspective, it covers more than NARS all day luminous weightless foundation, MAC Studio Sculpt, MAC Studio Fix powder, Bare Minerals bareskin, and any other foundation I have ever tried. The only other foundation that I love is Dior Airflash which has buildable coverage and comes very close to this on in coverage (the finish of Dior Ariflash is different but also very beautiful). The only downside of this foundation is that the color variety is terrible. The light family only has one shade which is too dark for me when I am not tan so I can't use . The medium family has two shades one is cool tone the other is warm tone and there is no neutral. « less

Not what I expected....

I have used the normal Double Wear foundation for years. I love the coverage that it gives me. I have fairly oily skin at times and it is the only foundation I have found that doesn't 'melt' off. So, when I found out about this maximum coverage version I was excited to try it!! Initially, I feel it doesn't apply as well as the normal Double Wear but gave it the benefit of the doubt and after some blending I loved the coverage - litterally covered everything!! So far so good! As the day then went on I could see it wasn't lasting and was actually becoming patchy and where my blusher and concealer was, it was caked around!!! By the end of the day (not a long work day either) half the foundation looked like it had melted off and I was left looking patchy all over. Not at all what I would expect from this brand!! I have tried it several times and have tried applying it with several different methods and does the same every time - even though I prepare my skin, user primer, etc. It doesn't have anywhere near the same lasting power as the normal Double Wear and I feel disappointed that I have wasted my money! « less

EL Custom Coverage Correcting Duo: Genius

Love this product, and two correcting options in a single tube. Pink is perfect for my fair skin, glad the two sides are labeled so I can tell which I'm using. Effective corrector and concealer, buildable, blendable, lightweight, over or under makeup, travel friendly. I also love the EL Perfectionist Serum+Concealer in a single tube, both are compatible, this can handle spot issues with more coverage. I draw an inverted triangle under my eyes to cheekbones and blend for highlighting coverage. This tube is thinner than the Perfectionist, but both are great to have for home and in my travel bag. Another innovative EL product.

This stuff is a GODSEND

After years of constantly researching and trying countless full coverage concealers and foundations for my SEVERE rosacea, I can't believe I just found out about this stuff a few weeks ago (why is it not advertised more?!). I happened to read about it in a random beauty article and immediately got excited, because I use and love the regular doublewear. However, I would still need to use a concealer specially designed for redness under it, and even then, after several layers of each, my redness STILL showed through. This stuff, however, covers the discoloration with only 2 lightish layers, applied with my fingers (I find this warms it and helps it spread better) and then blended in with a damp beauty blender. It does get a little cakey/foundation-y looking if you're not careful but honestly I'll take that any day over my redness. The first time I applied it I almost cried in relief at the coverage. When I wore it for a full day and it still looked great and stayed put even through sweating at the beach, I knew I'd found my HG.Cons: 1) They need to offer more shades! I'm currently between 3W1 and 4N2 now that it's summer and I'm tan (the 3W1 will be perfect the rest of the year for my light/medium warm-toned skin.....4N2 was way too orange). What I'm doing is mixing the 3W1 with the bronze version of a popular drugstore 'skinlights' product and that's working well....plus it still gives the coverage. 2) My t-zone does tend to get more oily than usual with this stuff...probably because it's so thick. But I don't even care because of the coverage. 3) It's not sold in any store near me (and I'm near quite a few) so you'll have to get it online most likely. Finally I will say that most people do not need this heavy of a foundation...it's really only needed for severe skin discolorations that regular full coverage foundations can't cover. But for those of us that need it....hallelujah! « less

Honestly, BEST FOUNDATION EVER! I finally found it... a full coverage foundation that is light weight and does not look or feel cakey. I need something that is medium to full coverage, to cover blemishes & active break outs. I feel as if I've tried everything in the past year, products that have got great reviews, that say they are medium to full coverage & do NOTHING for me. This foundation does it all. You can wear it as a medium coverage and build it up to full. It's light weight and feels great on your face, while lasting all day.If you are interested in this foundation, go into the store to get color matched. The swatches online are HORRIBLE & do not do the shades justice. I made the mistake of ordering the 'Very Light', because I am fair skinned and even the lightest shade online looked too dark for me. When I received it. it was way too light & I exchanged it for 'Cream Ivory Light' and now it is PERFECT!Do your self a favor & purchase this if you have been on the hunt for a light weight, full coverage foundation! It will not disappoint! « less
