Great eye complex

I received a deluxe sample of this product in a monthly beauty box. When I first opened it and saw it was more like a serum, I put it away for later use. My skin is dry, especially in the winter. I figured there was no way this product would do a thing for my eye area - it seemed too lightweight. A few weeks later I got sent out of town on a last-minute business trip. I was throwing products in my tiny quart bag when I realized I couldn't fit my normal products in and had to resort to my sample bag. This product was the only eye product I had so I threw it in, knowing I'd have dry eyes the entire trip. The first night at the hotel I pulled out the tiny jar and scooped out a glob. A glob is a lot, by the way. When I use products that are lightweight, they tend to soak into my skin before I can even distribute them around the entire area, so I need more than normal. Now known as a glob. Boy was I surprised. This had such an amazing texture and so much richer than I anticipated. I was rubbing that glob for quite some time, and eventually had to start putting it on my lips, neck, anywhere to use the product that I had just wasted. That little sample lasted three weeks!! That's using it every morning and every evening. You need such a tiny amount - and that never happens with me. While using it, I never had the fine lines around my eyes. When the sample was gone I returned to my normal eye cream. I love that cream too, but I kept wishing I had more of this EL eye complex. So when my regular cream was just about used up, I happily ordered a full-size jar of this eye complex. I'm still in love with it and still do not ever have the fine lines accentuated by dryness. The cost of it did make me hesitate, I will admit that. But knowing I need such a tiny amount, I ordered it. This jar should last me a very long time. Easily twice as long as the last product I used. So the cost didn't hurt so much knowing I wouldn't be ordering any other eye cream/complex for 6 months or more (my estimation). I highly recommend this product. I can't speak to how it might be for someone with normal or oily skin. To me it seems like it could be too rich. But the texture of it is so different than anything else I've tried (and trust me when I say I've tried a LOT of products), that it probably is perfect for any skin type. Try it. If you don't like it, I'll take it off your hands. I'm sure I have a few products I could trade with you. ;-) « less

A must have

I am all things skin and beauty. An enthusiast you could say. I do a lot of research on products old and new. There were many things that turned me on to Estee Lauder. I have dry breakout prone skin and Estee Lauder provides Dermatologist-tested, Ophthalmologist-tested, non-acnegenic; won't clog pores, products. Most of the reviews on the skin care and makeup they carry have higher ratings then some of the top name brands you see in magazines. I took notice at the counter. The Estee Lauder counter was the one getting all the action and most of the woman and men walking up to the counter had very beautiful skin. Lets face it, beauty is skin deep for say. I use this along with the Advance Night Repair Serum. It does everything it says it does; reduces fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, dark circles, dryness, uneven skintone. I use it in the morning to moisturize my under eyes, reduce puffiness, and help with the dark circles after a late night. I have noticed my under eye makeup goes on much smoother and looks fantastic throughout the day. Its also great to mix with concealer to give your under eyes a nice glow. If you have tired under eyes, this is a must have for you. I have also tried the Revitalizing Supreme eye balm, but I went back to the Advanced Night Repair Eye. I seen more lasting improvement with the Advanced Night Repair Eyes and found it much easier to work with. It is worth every penny! « less

Great overall eye cream!

This was one of my first introductions to EL products and I am officially SOLD on the brand for life now. What I liked about this eye cream: It was very light and smooth. I felt like it was hydrating without being heavy on my eyes. Since I'm still "young enough" to not "need" to use anti-aging products (according to my esthetician) + I have oily skin, I loved the texture of this and also loved how it softens the delicate eye area. My personal cons: If I HAD TO name a con, it would be the medicinal kind of smell it has. I finished the full size I bought with a blind eye and I'm currently experimenting with new products based on my current skincare needs. I ordered a few samples of this in the meantime but overall, I can totally see myself repurchasing this again! My skin's back story: I have suffered from acne prone skin for the past 12 years now (I recently turned 25), so I've done it all - used all the harsh products, prescription medicated + over the counter/medicated stuff, etc - until eventually I felt like I needed to baby my skin so it can calm down. I started a regimen on one natural products brand two years ago, then switched products + brands over time, depending on what my skin needed. After having been too harsh on my skin for so long, I decided it was time to spend a little more money on good skincare. About 3-5 months ago, I stopped by Macy's to get some recommendations from an EL counter. I have oily, acne prone skin so the sales rep recommended the I cleanse with the Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Cleansing Gelée/Refine (which, I'll also be reviewing, among everything else I list), I was currently using a toner from another brand, the Night Repair Serum (reviewed) + Advanced Night Repair Eye and moisturize with the Clear Difference Oil Control/Mattifying Hydrating Gel - in that order, DAY and NIGHT. From a skincare enthusiast to (maybe) another - I hope this was helpful! :) « less

Not for sensitive skin or eyes.

While I wanted to love this product, it burned my eyes and skin. However I do have very sensitive eyes/skin anyway. I use my eye cream/serum on my under eye area and my top lid/up to my brow bone because I have some discoloration and overall dry skin. Maybe if you are looking for a product for just your under eye area and don't mind it's thin/runnny consistency then this may work for you. I cannot attest to how it works on wrinkles or dark circles. I recommend tarte's marajuca c brighter eye treatment instead. I work 12 hour night shifts and this works great for my dark circles, dry skin, and tired eyes. A container of it lasts me 3+ months and I use it morning and night.

Excellent Results

I read the other reviews and have come to the conclusion that others are not using it for what it is intended. Dark circles are not due to aging. This product is not designed for that. Crows feet, lines and wrinkles are signs of aging. If you want something to help w/dark circles, do not buy an anti-aging product. I received a free sample and am amazed over the results I've rec'd in a few short weeks. I apply before bed and also in the morning and part of my skin care routine(very oily skin). I've seen a huge reduction in the amount of wrinkling around my eyes - I am amazed by the results. Crows feet - gone! Even when I squint (which of course, we all wrinkle when we squint), those lines are less noticeable and are less deep. I'm impressed by this product and intend to buy the full size when my sample is gone. « less

Anyone have product for dark circles? I am also seeing some fine lines on my forehead, but not too bad yet.

I don't suffer from dark eye circles often, but at the moment, I'm using Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Eye. Apart from this, I also recommend you make sure you're applying SPF, and make sure you wear sunglasses or a hat to refrain your dark circles from getting sun exposure as well as the rest of your face to prevent aging. 😊 #beautyverse
