Eyeshadow stays on, good coverage for red eyelids.

I bought this in October to make my Halloween makeup stay put. This product gives a matte look and my eyeshadow does stay on and my eyelids look less creased than if I didn?t use this product, however don?t expect no creasing at all because this is a low end makeup product and I needed something I could get quickly. However, I have been using this product a lot, the applicator is like a lip gloss and easy to use. I have fair skin and it matched my skin perfectly and covered up the redness on my eyelids. Only downside to this product is that it?s a bit streaky, this is particularly noteable when priming up to the brow bone. user

Quality + Price = Perfect

I purchased this product on a whim as eye primer has not been a part of my makeup routine. I love it. The sheer color is perfect for me and my skin tone (generally medium beige). I suggest applying one eye at a time b/c this product sets fairly quickly. You get less than a minute to rub it in but then it is set. Another thing - though I often have sensitive skin, this product has not affected my eyes whatsoever. No redness, drying or flaking on my lid. And finally, my eye makeup stays put. It even keeps my eye pencil liner in place. I've made it a point to look in the mirror and check out my eye makeup at the end of each day since using. It's all in place. I'm pleased! user

Poorly Pigmented, Water Application

I received this eyeliner as part of a sale kit online. I usually use a gel eyeliner for my basic winged liner, but I had previously used a liquid liner from Revlon that I adored. I figured this would be comparable because hey, it's a black liquid liner you can buy from a drug store. Oh, was I wrong! This eyeliner is horribly pigmented and VERY watery. The first time I attempted to use it, I was in a rush before work. It went on so streaky that I just gave up and wore no makeup. The second time I tried it, I had more time to prep but it still came out watery and only partially pigmented. There were only flecks and streaks of black instead of a solid liquid line. It took 3 or 4 coats (while waiting for it to dry a little in between) to finally get a decent line. It's so watery when it first goes on that if you blink or touch it at all, it's gone. It ended up lasting for a few hours, but I definitely would not trust it to last a full 10 hour day. I'm going to give it one more chance with a primer and maybe some eye shadow, but if that doesn't help I'm just tossing it. Definitely not worth the grief. But hey, at least it was free! Less user

Use Alone Without Shadow For A Natural Bright Eye

I have slightly hooded eyes and am always on the look out for a product that will open them up and brighten them. I originally used the Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer in color Sheer underneath my eyeshadows. The primer is easy to apply with the wand and I dot my lids and blend with my pinky to get a natural background before I put on eyeshadow. The color stays true for about 6 hours with minimal creasing. I usually start creasing within 3 hours so I was happy with this result. One day, I was in a rush to get ready and just dabbed some of the primer without putting on any eyeshadow and someone complimented me and said my eyes looked so bright. Now I frequently just wear the primer alone for a natural bright eye look. user

The best!

I have been using this product for years and it is the best primer I have found! I have very oily skin so my eye shadow never lasts more than a few hours on its own. Using this (in sheer), my shadow lasts up to 16hrs on dry days with long-lasting shadows but never less than 8hrs even on humid days with mediocre eye shadow. I have pale skin so the sheer color matches my lids but creates a great canvas to make the colors pop more. It's not oily and dries to a nice matte finish. It lasts longer than prestige brands and at a fraction of the price, it's the best! So happy to see Ulta sells this now!

one of my favorite beauty gurus recommended this and i used it and it’s really good. it’s sheer so if you want it to be like a concealer you might not like it. plus it’s affordable! 😊

If you want a drug store brand, I’ve been using this one for months and it has held my eye make up on through sweat.
