it goes on flawlessly and gives a medium buildable coverage

- Walgreens User

i love this foundation, covers great buildable

- Walgreens User

this foundation paired with the elf face primer hid my pores and made my face smooth

- Walgreens User

it goes on light, it doesn't look or feel like my makeup is caked on, and it made my skin look smooth and flawless

high quality, low price

blends well

bought this about 2 months ago and absolutely fell in love lol no but it's one of the best foundations i've tried and i have a lot of high-end foundations as well but i can honestly say this one out beats some of them, makes my skin look so good and i love how easy it is to blend :), i use the elf blending brush (my favourite brush) really recommend this foundation if you're looking for a very affordable great foundation

- Walgreens User

i bought it in sand & buff, which is perfect combination of my skin tone, especially since my skin tone on my face is lighter than my body, i have to blend it to look like the rest

- Walgreens User

staying power

i love this foundation; it stays in place all day when used with my primer and setting spray, i'm glad it has spf even though that means it's not so good in flash photography, and my skin looks and feels healthy and soft and pretty when i use it

- Superdrug User

i love how it's the perfect coverage and it stayed put all day and night

- Elfcosmetics User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

it doesn't settle into lines or pores, lasts well, applies easily- it's fantastic

- Ulta User

love this foundation, its light and hides pores well

- Walgreens User

i'm on the dry end, and this gives my skin a nice dewy glow

- Elfcosmetics User

this creamy foundation in "sand" is the perfect colour for my skin tone (and would probably also be good for asian yellow-toned skin) and is a moisturizing, thick consistency without being oily that lasts all day when used with a primer

- Elfcosmetics User

color accuracy

doesn't oxidize

it goes of effortlessly, stays on all day, medium coverage, and does not turn orange

- Walgreens User

this stuff has pretty good coverage, does not oxidize on my skin and my makeup still looks great at the end of the day

- Elfcosmetics User

smooth, silky, even, light weight, lovely, creamy, wonderful, flawless, wow

- Walgreens User

it's lightweight and full coverage

- Walgreens User

color correction

color correcting

i first wash my face with a gentle cleanser, then use the original elf primer serum, then use my bobbi brown color corrector, then powder my entire face with the elf hd transluscent powder and then apply the foundation with my fingers and then blending it with a damp beauty blender - later setting it with mac mineralize skinfinish in deep

- Elfcosmetics User

this is a perfect match for my skin tone- i am a golden undertone pale with redness, which usually means i need to color correct and then apply foundation- but with this formula it is a one step miracle

- Elfcosmetics User

not creasing

the powder doesn't  settle in  lines  or look dry

- Walgreens User

it didn't settle into any fine lines and lasted my whole 8 hour shift

- Ulta User

i received this product one month ago, i have been using this foundation every day and i really love it, it's very light and natural and makes my skin look really good, also this product has a really good coverage and isn't that oily, this is really important in a foundation because we don't like our face so bright, but the only things that i didn't like was that when the pass of the day it becomes greasy and it wears off easily

- Walgreens User

(i use fairly light in be and porcelain in born this way) the coverage and luminously is great, it is not so luminous that my face is shiny, but it isn't matte either

- Ulta User

very thick and dry, hard to apply

- Ulta User

after i applied it, i set it with some powder and a few hours after, the foundation started to get splotchy and made my face look like it was dry all over, which i usually don't have

- Walgreens User

i love the semi matte finish of elfs product

- Walgreens User

i bought this foundation a couple of weeks ago and i was quite surprised of how it gives such a beautiful, demi-matte finish

- Elfcosmetics User

medium coverage

if you applied this with a brush you should be able to achieve pretty high coverage however i prefer more of a medium coverage so i apply this with a damp beauty blender

- Elfcosmetics User

one pump covers my whole face and gives medium to full coverage

All things considered, the best I've ever used.

Color: I have a hard time with foundations. I'm a mixed-race woman, and I have the paler skin of my European family with the olive undertones of my Native American family. All foundations that aren't flat out too dark for me have pinkish undertones that make me look like I'm wearing a mask, or they're too yellow and the effect is the same. Until this foundation, I had to spend $38 an ounce for Tarte's Amazonian Clay Full Coverage foundation in the color Light Sand. At roughly $6 an ounce, this foundation in Sand wins, hands down. It matches my skin tone perfectly, for a significantly lower price.Texture: Compared to foundations I've used in the past, I feel like this one is a bit thicker than others, but it still blends very well. One pump covers my whole face and gives medium to full coverage. Another pump and everything is completely covered. It doesn't feel heavy, and the finish is soft and dewy without looking greasy.Scent: This is the one area where I think e.l.f. could really improve on this product. It has a perfume-y scent to it that, based on other reviews I've read and seen, really bothers some people. It's not too bad for me, but I'm not very sensitive to fragrances. I notice it when I first put the foundation on, but I stop noticing it within a half hour or so. I think if there's one big thing that is going to turn a person off of this product, it's the scent. Some people are very sensitive to fragrance, and this definitely has a smell to it.How is my skin?: I've seen other reviewers complain that this product caused them to break out, and I was very worried about it, but that hasn't been the case for me. I had a small breakout after I'd been using it for a week, but I think that it was hormonal and unrelated to the foundation because I kept using it and haven't had a problem since then. I accidentally slept in a full face of makeup and it had no effect on my skin at all. I think that this problem will differ from person to person, and I think you won't know until you try it for a couple weeks. At $6 a pop, I think you have very little to lose if it doesn't work out for you. Conclusion: If you can handle the scent, this foundation is a really great find, especially if you're one of those pale olive-toned women like me. I don't think I'm going to have to buy another tube of Tarte again, because this has totally surpassed my expectations. Give it a try and see what you think. If you don't like it, you're only out the price of a large espresso drink. Thanks, e.l.f. for making such a great product! « less

The only foundation I've ever been happy with

I have very sensitive and stupidly dry skin in spite of moisturizing daily (daily moisturizer and night cream) and drinking tons of water. I even use a hydrating face cleanser that's basically lotion and I remove my makeup with jojoba and sweet almond oil. Literally nothing works and my skin is always the Sahara Desert and flaky. This is the ONLY foundation I've ever used that matches my skin tone AND applies well AND looks nice. I don't even need to mix moisturizer with it like I've needed to do with every other dry skin formula foundation I've ever used. Best of all, it does NOT feel greasy. It doesn't draw attention to my nose flakies like everything else I've ever used does. The formula is very creamy and smooth and it doesn't separate. The coverage is good enough that I usually don't need concealer for my super dark under eye circles (I'm very pale and have leaky capillaries under my eyes) and when I get the odd blemish this usually covers it well enough that I don't need to go back in with concealer. My only minor gripe is that it smells strongly of baby powder when you initially apply it, but it dries down and has way less of a smell afterward. It doesn't irritate my skin or break me out, and the e.l.f brand translucent setting powder works beautifully with it. FYI, this brand is the first time I've been able to use translucent powder without looking like a complete and utter disaster. I apply the foundation with a sponge wedge (but recently got a beauty blender and a silicone "sponge" to try out). It looks weird applied with a brush. I apply the translucent powder with the e.l.f brand setting powder brush. No creasing or settling into my fine lines like other foundations I've used. It also doesn't rub off of my nose when my husband kisses me. I bought the two lightest colors. They are very, very similar in shade which is actually a bonus for me because I barely change color with the seasons so I can use the darker one when I'm "tanner" (lol, I don't tan...) and mix the two shades together (one pump of each) without having to think too much about it the rest of the year. I literally never got compliments on my makeup until I started using this foundation and I think that's because it provides me with such a nice, smooth, even base. I could go on and on! « less

ELF was the first brand I got into when I started exploring makeup. The flawless finish foundation was a popular drug store foundation that a lot of friends recommended to me as a solid starter. However, I never truly loved this foundation and for a while it was all I had. For starters, the shade range was very hit and miss, missing key shades and has undergone several shade range updates. For a while I was forced to use Sand (medium neutral) when I’m in fact a golden kinda gworl. They now have a shade called Linen and finally extended an olive branch to us medium yellow folks. I was excited to see if my thoughts changed. Maybe there was some formula tweaks? Idk! However, after applying and getting over the vast shock of an ELF foundation finally matching my skin...I remembered exactly why I disliked this foundation. To begin, the consistency is incredibly thick and sticky. It’s sort of a pain to blend out because it just moves and doesn’t really work into your skin. It also just clings to the skin in the worst way, giving you that heavy “mask” feeling. There’s also a fragrance and I’m usually not too picky about scents but the smell of this one is a bit overbearing and doesn’t wear out. It also seems like no matter the primer this foundation will always emphasize my texture and crease. If I had to point out one good thing, it has great coverage. A lot of full coverage types will love this. But given the comfort sacrifice, I can assure I don’t reach for this one often (if not ever)

Better than Revlon Colorstay!

So this is my FAVORITE foundation! I used to use Revlon Colorstay foundation because I have combination skin, and for $3.00 less this product works TEN times better than Colorstay. When I put on foundation I really want a light to medium coverage that just evens out my skin. This foundation does just that while leaving my skin feeling so smooth. The semi-matte finish in the description is exactly what you get as well. I've worn this foundation for up to 14 hours; during this time the foundation did not break up or crease. I did just blot my forehead with some mattifying papers, but like I said before, I do have combination skin T.T. I honestly highly recommend this product and believe everyone should try it once. For reference, I am Indian with a light to medium skin tone and I use the color Sand. It looks really light in the bottle, but it is perfect for my skin. I bought the color Buff, and that is just a shade too dark for me, but it may be perfect in the summer. At first, I thought I might have to mix the two, but Sand by itself is 100% perfect for my winter tone. I don't think I would ever use another foundation again. The bottle design is also really great! It's really smooth and fits really nicely in my palm. It looks super chic on my vanity! The only "grievance" I would have is that the Buff I received was full to the brim. But when I used Sand, a trapped air bubble escaped and there ended up being less product in the bottle than I thought there would be.

I recommend to use this with the ‘16h camo concealer’, you have a perfect full face coverage for $11. In the package it says medium coverage but it actually cover a lot. I use (literally) 2 pumps of foundation and I blend it with my beauty blender. I work as a barista so I use it for work and after 5hs running in a kitchen and making coffees, working in a drive thru, it looks regular, covered but not as strong as when you just put it, anyway I’m not complaining, it looks good. I basically love it

Post skin care glowy quick face!✨ took my light makeup off once I got back to my dorm after a long day of classes and needed a little relaxing session before I went to study with a group of friends. Did the YesTo Unicorn Peel off mask, Kylie skin vanilla milk toner, cbd brightening serum, Murad acne clearing solution, and Mac Radiance primer. I followed with the actual makeup: abh foundation stick to contour blended out with beauty blender before makeup,Elf foundation applied w beauty blender and builded to desired coverage, dermablend to bake/set all over and flicked off, L’Oréal powder all over w Jaclyn hill powder brush, elf kabuki brush, then layered in contour areas w jh contour brush. Light blush with Nars dusted rose I think is the name, highlight in tartlette pallet w small brush on cheek bones, forehead, chin, upper lip, and lightly on jaw and above eyes. Lastly, naked illumination (the sparkles one) on highlight spots and finished with too faced hangover setting spray and too faced liquid melted lipstick.

I’ve been looking for a good tinted moisturizer. Or VERY light weight/coverage foundation. I’m acne prone and heavy foundations just make it worse and I have freckles and I don’t like hiding them. Also I’m pale, so a lot I’ve found are too dark for me. Any suggestions?

I’ve been loving this one, I’m pretty pale too and I get the lightest shade called Pearl. It’s buildable so you can kind of control the amount of coverage you want, and it looks so smooth and natural even on dry skin.

Okay so I haven’t really had a foundation I really loved since high school. The cover girl clean whipped cream was the only thing that ever checked all of my boxes. Any recommendations? 1. Easy to blend into skin even with just fingers 2. Very light feel but good coverage ( I have oily acne prone skin so this tends to be the hardest one ) 3. Matte finish that stays all day (with powder is fine)

i’m looking for a foundation or tinted moisturizer that doesn’t become patchy or define my pores, i’m currently using NYX Can’t stop won’t stop foundation and have been for about 3 months now and after two months my skin isn’t liking it anymore. The only one that hasn’t given me any issues apart from being oily is IT Cosmetics CC Cream. help😩 i don’t want my makeup to move at all, any recommendations on primers, foundations and powders please

I used Can’t Stop Won’t Stop for a while, but I stopped using because by my skin became dry after I moved. I started using the Elf Flawless Finish Foundation, an it’s got the same coverage, and doesn’t crease on my skin like C.S.W.S. foundation did. Elf isn’t as matte as C.S.W.S., but it doesn’t look dewy. I use Yensa Essential Glow primer, and Bellá Pierre HD powder.

Hey guys I’m new so hello! But I just wanted to ask if y’all know any good foundation for oily skin? It can be drug store or name brand. My favorites from drug store are (Nyx can’t stop, won’t stop..colourpop, catrice) my favorite from name brand are (Estee Lauder, Fenty, Makeup Forever stick, Becca) I’m really oily on my nose so what are some good ways to not be as oily and a good foundation that will make look beat no matter how oily? 🙌🏼 lol

Help! I’ve been wanting to get into makeup, but I don’t want to go to crazy, I just want to get simple basic stuff like concealer, foundation and powder. What would be the best, but cheapest foundation that doesn’t crease and pretty much stays on for a few hours. I want to stay within a 10 dollar price range.😊
