- Superdrug User

pigmentation

sheer

i'm brown skinned, so i wasn't too thrilled about the color of the blush at first, but it's very sheer and blends in perfectly with my skin

- Walgreens User

the bronzer is a nice color for contouring, and the blush is pretty too (a little sheer, i'm a fan of the bronzer more)

Fantastic Duo!

This product is amazing. The size of the compact is much bigger than I was expecting, but slim enough that it isn't bulky. The mirror on the compact is huge and the packaging itself looks much more expensive than it actually is, and feels very sturdy.Blush: this blush is a very flattering peachy pink color with subtle gold shimmer. This blush is VERY pigmented, which surprised me. Usually, [...] or cheaper makeup is comprised mostly of fillers and less of actual pigments, and the higher up the brand-name scale you go, the less fillers and more pigments you'll find in a product, but the more you pay. This blush, however, is extremely pigmented, so it needs to be applied lightly to look good. People who have complained about this looking clownish have probably applied it much too heavily. I have fairly light skin (I'm an NC20) and this product has never looked anything but naturally pretty on me. I'd recommend using the ELF Studio flat-top powder brush to lightly sweep this across the cheekbones and apples of the cheeks and BLEND BLEND BLEND, then apply more as needed. Doing so gives you a definite O-glow. Very flattering.Bronzer: this bronzer is a medium-brown with very subtle shimmer in it. It can be a bit dark for girls with light skin, but if applied right, looks perfectly fine. It is just as pigmented as the blush, so you need to apply VERY little. The key is to apply it in very very small amounts, and blend profusely as you go. Could be used as a contour, because the shimmer really is very subtle. The best thing about this bronzer is that it DOES NOT look orange at all in either natural light or flash photography. I find some bronzers can make me look like I'm from Jersey Shore (not good. At all.) but this color just makes me look like I recently got back from a cruise in the tropics. Fantastic bronzer, you just have to get the hang of applying it.This product lasts virtually all day (with the foundation/finishing powder that I personally use) and has never broken me out. Bottom line: I would recommend this to a friend. « less

Absolutely spectacular cream blush & bronzer!

Honestly, this blush palette far exceeded my expectations. I've got a very large cosmetics collection, with everything from ELF to Chanel, and I can do nothing but RAVE about this product. The colors are gorgeous, the formula is AMAZING, the pigmentation is phenomenal. Both apply incredibly smoothly and easily with either fingers or a brush. The cream bronzer works really well as a contouring & bronzing product for light to perhaps tan skin tones. Both the blush & the bronzer are at the same level as the newer Chanel & Makeup Forever cream blushes in terms of its quality & performance, although I do admit I prefer ELF's formulation. This product totally destroys NARS Multiples, all of them, which are laughable next to this product. Even Bobbi Brown cream cheek products can't stand up next to this formula that ELF has come up with. FYI I've got oily skin with some dry patches & I find this product applies and lasts over any type of skin incredibly well. It blends out easily to a satin finish - my favorite - and sets nicely. If you find your cream blushes not lasting very long, set them with a light dusting of powder blush in a similar shade. Although I must say, this product lasts all day on my oily skin. I'm really hoping ELF comes out with many more of these cream blush palettes because I'll buy every single one, I swear.

Difficult to blend

I bought this in St Lucia and its not subtle at all... as another review said it is view difficult to blend and the bronzer looks very unnatural and muddy, especially being the blunt brown it is. Mayybbee can work if used EXTREMELY lightly... as in, barely dip your brush in the product... Otherwise it does stay put (to the point of being very hard to blend) and is well pigmented (slightly unnaturally so.) I am a diehard fan of elf and this is the first product I haven't been thrilled by

Nice performance for me, and cheap :)

I am not a hardcore contourist , and did not see the need to spend more than $10.00 on something I use a spare amount of a day. I was actually getting away with using a bit of powder a couple shades deeper than my normal pressed/loose powders, or a good sample from brands like Too Faced, or Nars. I use a bit under cheekbones, jaw line, under chin, and sides of nose. I thought this a good deal, and a good amount for what I do use, and using a product for what it is meant for, maybe better than my old way. The case / compact structure is something I would think of a more expensive brand, nice weight, and style. The layout is nice. The texture is smooth , and silky, and not too dry , or chalky. Blends so well on, and in conjunction with my other face brand makeups such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Cover FX, BareMinerals, and Ben Nye. So blend able - does not seem out of place, or trying too hard. I am fair skinned, and went with the Fiji Matte. Colours are perfect for my tone to contour and blush. The two are complementary to each other. I like the option of a matte. I do not like my blush and contour with sparkle, sheen, or much of. I am 52 years old, with a few fine lines, and a feel no need to emphasize even the little I have. I will most likely try the blush and contour "mixed" under my cheekbones, and see how that works for me.

great for contouring

Because of this product I love applying my makeup now. I've been contouring with the Maybelline Fit Me stick and it looks OK, feels heavy. I was doing a haul here and decided to throw it in my order, it was worth a try for the price. When I got it I opened it right away and applied it with my finger to see how the bronzer looked with my skintone. I was relieved to see that there was Minimal shimmer in the bronzer. When I put it on the shimmer didn't show up at all, it was very matte. I showed my sister how it looked contouring only half my face and we were both impressed with the results.I actually wear the bronze over my e.l.f. matte translucent powder and it works amazing with it. Not cakey, blends out beautifully, no shimmer-bc I want my contouring to look natrual-and so inexpensive!! I haven't even tried the blush yet (I purchased St. Lucia) and if I never do I still wouldn't feel like I wasted any money!! If you're just learning to contour I recommend you get this product! It made it so easy on my fair skin, just follow the basic contouring outlines and it's foolproof! It's very pigmented though, use a very light hand and I recommend a medium tapered face brush. Start with a thin line and blend out. You can always build if it's not dark enough. « less

Need help with face products. I have a REALLY good bronzer from morphe I like, but everything else I’m having a lot of trouble with. I have a max face sculpting pallet for contour that WILL NOT BLEND WHAT SO EVER. And as far as blush goes I can’t find a shade that works for my skin tone. Pinks make me look sick and reds just don’t sit well on top of my skin tone. I know this is a lot to cover but what do you guys recommend? Cream or powder contours, and specific products, same with blush please. Also if maybe I should change up my bronzer? I really like it but always looking to try something new.

I find that powder contours work best for me personally. I really like elf face products. I use their powder contour pallet and their blush/contour duo on the daily. Plus their cheaper and last quite a while.

I’ve used Butter Bronzer for years. Looking for something new to try. I want a bronzer that has more of a ash brown tone rather than orange. Help?
