PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Not worth the damage control

This is the first review I have written on any product ever, but I felt it was necessary to warn anyone who is thinking about buying this product and avoid the nightmare I endured. In the fall and winter, my skin is all over the place. Oily in the T-zone, dry on my cheeks, and acne-prone. I had a couple dry patches on my face that by the end of the day would be flaking off. I did my research, read the glowing reviews, and I figured the T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial would be a great mask to do every 3 weeks to exfoliate my dead skin, minimize my pores, and fade acne scars. I was very cautious about using this mask because of the strong acids in it and made sure I followed up with the Drunk Elephant Virgin Mary Oil. After the first time I used it (October) I woke up the next morning, noticed my blackheads on my nose and chin were basically gone and my pores did look noticeably smaller BUT my face texture was still rough. I didn't use this mask again until this Monday (01/28/20) because my skin was a flaky yet oily mess. I followed all the steps again and I woke up the next morning and knew immediately that the mask over exfoliated my face. HUGE MISTAKE. My skin the next morning felt like sandpaper and that's putting it lightly. I had clusters of tiny whiteheads all around my mouth and on my chin that itched. After 5 days of damage control, I no longer have whiteheads but my skin's texture is still not back to what it was. With that, I advise you to proceed with caution. Less

Just Another Good Review in a Sea of Good Reviews

Long story short: buy this - your face will feel so soft and smooth, and when integrated into your beauty routine, you will see a more even skin tone, smaller pores, and overall brightening.Long story long: I’ve had acne for YEARS and tried every product under the sun (including prescription medications). I bought this product in March. I wanted to give this product a thorough review - if you’re anything like me and you’re going to pay $80 for a product, you need to know LONG TERM how it works. Initially, I used it 2 times per week and that was WAY too much for my skin. I was also experiencing active breakouts, and the irritation from this product on my breakouts was almost worse than the actual breakout. I stopped for about 3 weeks, and then slowly reintegrated this product. I used it every 2 weeks, then every week, and now I use it about every 5-6 days. Besides the benefits I’ve already mentioned, the thing that I am most pleased with is that my skin heals so quickly now when I do get breakouts. I can almost watch in real time as my skin gets rid of the dead cells and allows for all of my other skincare products to do their respective jobs. I used to not understand the “babyface” feeling that everyone talked about after using it, but after months of consistent use and a massive reduction in breakouts, I FINALLY UNDERSTAND. Of note - I’ve also stuck to the DE mantra of ridding myself of the suspicious 6.You could use every other DE product (and trust me, I do), but without this, I don’t think you’d be really giving yourself the true value of those other products.I’m so sold on this. Do it. You won’t be disappointed. « less

Great Effective Product

This is an awesome product. It does exactly what it says it will. Yes, it's pricey, but since you only should use it once a week, it will last a long time and it's definitely effective, which I can't say about a lot of other products with similar price points and claims. I have acne prone, combination skin. I've used acids for years to combat acne and enlarged pores, so my skin can handle something strong, but this still definitely tingles and you can really feel it working which I love. It's definitely a facial in a bottle and after using it, my skin feels super smooth, plump and looks brighter and more alive. It definitely helps with enlarged pores as well and it doesn't dry out my skin which is awesome for such a strong product. The next morning my skin looks brighter and clearer and over time, it helps fade pigmentation. I would say instead of post acne marks lasting a month, this will cut that down to 2-3 weeks depending on how dark it is to begin with. It's an all around great exfoliation product and helps with a plethora of skin issues. I don't think the tingling/slight stinging is uncomfortable but for some with really sensitive skin, it may be a bit much at first. If you do have extra sensitive skin or haven't really experimented with acids, I would say leave it on for 10 minutes the first few times and work up up to 20. Or try a different gentler product first to get your skin accustomed to AHA's like the Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Serum, which will exfoliate, plump, calm and hydrate on a smaller scale. I would say this is definitely worth the money especially if you are a skin care junkie and want something that really packs a punch. The plumping effects will only last for a couple days, but the effects are also so good, that over time your skin will look and feel better more consistently. if you're paying $100 for a facial regularly, this will save you money in the long run and it really is just a pleasure to use. Less

Can't live without it!

I have access to a wide array of skincare products such as SkinCeuticals, Revision Skincare, Babor, etc. Although I love those products, this stuff surpasses any product that I have used from either of those expensive brands. I think what I love the most about this product is the fact that it doesn't irritate my skin. Usually, anything with glycolic acid causes me to peel significantly. This stuff does not. When first putting it on I will feel a bit tingly in certain spots on my face, but it doesn't last for more than a few seconds.I got this stuff because the reviews for it are very good and thus I felt the impulse to buy it. (oops). I am glad I did! I have a lot of hyper pigmentation(caused by acne spots that refuse to take their color with them after clearing up) and this stuff has dramatically reduced those spots. I notice that it has also brightened my skin FAST. I notice the brightening effect immediately. I have used it only 3 times and having noticed such significant effects this quickly, I can't imagine what my skin will look like in one month.Says you can use it up to twice a week. I did that and my skin handled it, but I was a bit red after using it for the second time in a week. Thankfully, the redness cleared up by morning.A little side note: I mainly wanted to try this to get rid of my stubborn areas where I am clogged. I don't have blackheads, but I have these clogged small pimples on my forehead and around my mouth. This stuff has seriously helped so much. My skin is much much smoother since using this. Also, it helps to get rid of my occasional cystic acne quickly.Sometimes I will end up with a white head, or sometimes the pimple shrinks and disappears. Either way it helps get rid of it! Don't fret about the price tag, you get what you pay for! This stuff is worth it, and you don't need to use a lot. « less

So far, so smooth

So I have been using this for about two weeks now and my skin is super smooth. I use it about three times a week and my skin just felt so much nicer to the touch. I was a little disappointed when I noticed I had a few pimples showing up because over all my skin was just looking a ton nicer, then I realized that it was a certain time of the month and trust me, one to two new pimples is nothing compared to how my period normally reflects on my face. I also bought the UFO oil and use that twice a day with my Alba face wash so I am not using only this product. But I have noticed a huge reduction in the amount of black and white heads I normally have. I have hormonal acne that shows up on my cheeks and around either side of my chin and I have to say this is the clearest my face has been in years while on my period. The product itself does burn when I initially apply it but it is not terrible and it quickly stops burning. I use two squirts so only a tiny amount so I think it will last a long time which helps with the price tag. I also used it three times a week and planned to go to once a week once my face is clear. My face was breaking out when it first arrived in the mail and I was able to get it under control and get rid of most of my blemishes within the week. It has not dried out my face or burned my face and my skin hate everything. I break out into horrible rashes with about 70% of facial and make-up products so my skin is super sensitive and I have not had any ill effects with this so far. I am using an oil for moisturizing and my face has not been dry or peeling at all.Another thing, I never wear make-up because it causes me to break out something terrible, I can wear it for an hour, come home and my face it covered and I have two or three days worth of pimples and blackheads. I wore make-up to work, all day, three days this week, nothing, freaking smooth skin. Now I did buy the Tarte make-up and trashed all my drug store make-up about two months ago because I hadn't worn make-up in about three years and I decided I wanted to start wearing it again and that meant buying a whole new set. Tarte didn't break me out as bad, but it still broke my face out. That is when I decided I needed to invest in some higher end acne products as well. So I am now wearing make-up on a regular basis and I am having less break outs, all while being on my period. Just...guys, you have no idea.I know this was a long review but I wanted to address all the issues I have had and how my skin reacts. I don't have terrible acne, but on a normal day I have about four to five pimples and of course black heads and white heads all over. My skin dries out quickly and flacks, I have to be very careful about what I put on it, and I wash it every morning and every night, never could wear make-up, and I still could never get a clear face. I am using this with other products and I started it at the same time I started the UFO oil. I will buy this again and I would recommend it. I know the price seems high but just think about all the products you bought and that didn't work that you just wasted you money on. I hope to update everyone on how long it last so you can get an idea on how far your money goes. « less

Hello, I have been struggling with acne and discoloration for a while now. I have combo skin but my biggest problems are my cheeks, they are covered in blackheads and some pimples, and are always clogged I’ve tried everything under the sun and feel as if I’m destroying my skin :/ I need a cleanser and moisturizer that could help. Thank you!

Hey guys, sorry if this is gross but I’m so confused. Why does my face look like this when I put on foundation? Its been happening for a while and idk if it means my face is really dry or if it’s fungal or what. Please help!

My foundation does that when I haven’t exfoliated recently. This is my go to exfoliating product, followed by marula oil. It’s the best thing ever. Also- Herbivore’s “Moonfruit” is a great overnight treatment.
