maybe it works better on more mature skin

- Sephora User

i have a feeling this might work for very mature skin or skin types that aren't acne-prone at all

- Sephora User

this product is one of the best skin care investments i have ever made, every time i use it i get compliments the next day about how radiant and “glassy” my skin looks

- Mecca User

i would first recommend purchasing the nightbright duo if you're new to the brand as it's a good (and less expensive) way of trying the product without committing to an entire bottle

- Sephora User

hands down best night cream for my face

- Sephora User

using this makes my skin smooth, soft, glowy, and clear

- Sephora User

uneven skintone

evens out skin

i highly recommend this for clear and even skin

- Sephora User

as someone who has struggles with acne, acne scars, dark spots, and sensitive skin, this has been a game changer for sure

- Sephora User

i've only been using the framboos for a couple of weeks, but so far it has been both gentle and effective and has not irritated my (stupidly sensitive) skin

- Drunkelephant User

this product is my saving grace, it smooths my texture, doesn't irritate my acne or sensitive skin, balances the skin so i'm more evenly hydrated, and also smooths fine lines

- Sephora User

redness relief

breakouts have reduced in intensity, closed comedones are almost gone, pigmentation is fading, redness has reduced, and my skin is a lot more balanced and glowy

- Sephora User

using it with the oil at night has reduced lot of my fine lines and improved the texture of my skin helping with the dryness and impurities

- Sephora User

good for acne

i have tried so many different acne treatments, this is the best i've ever used

- Sephora User

so i've been using good genes for the past month and noticed no positive changes to my skin possibly because i have oily skin and the good genes serum left me feeling greasy and another pimple would form however this stuff is a gel form and leaves my skin feeling dryer and i love it because i can always add a moisturizer if i get too dry and i haven't had any new pimples form as a matter of fact they were dried out

- Sephora User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

my skin looks smoother, clear and firm, and my pores definitely smaller

- Sephora User

it shrinks your pores, makes your skin look amazing, really clear, fades scars, accelerates the healing of your pimples

- Cult Beauty User

you love you love your cotton pilllowcase dearly i know i did too (90 is gmo in the us even the finest), but those pillowcase lines in the morning turn into deep wrinkles and absorb serum too (you are sleeping through the night as the serums and ew, sweat absorb into that favorite pillowcase leaving you with minimal benefits and more harm- soils, dust mites, ripping out eyelashes and your hair as well aka bed head)

- Sephora User

granted i have an extensive skincare routine and am pretty lucky as far as not having breakout-prone skin, but this stuff made an overnight significant change to even out the texture of my skin and appearance of fine lines

- Sephora User

i was so shocked, i don't even care about the price at this point i was just so happy it delivered amazing results and my skin is plump and flawless

- Sephora User

it moisturizes nicely, helps acne and helps acne scarring

- Sephora User

it absorbs quick into the skin, it's lightweight and layers well with my night routine (which includes tones, another serum and moisturizer)

- Sephora User

because of its really lightweight, gooey consistency it really hydrates, calms and brightens my skin - with help from ingredients such as horse chestnut, bearberry and white tea

Glycolic over lactic.

My skin started reacting badly to SR's Good Genes after about a year's worth of use, so after speaking with a Sephora skincare consultant, I decided to go with her recommendation of glycolic acid which was in her opinion, superior to lactic. Basically I have combo skin with oily(T-zone and portion of chin) and dry/flaky patches(cheeks and mouth), but GG made my skin become super oily and congested everywhere, while blackheads started to pop up in places Ive never had them before. It made my skin into a nightmare. I even invested into the SK-II essence and although it in itself is a HG item and helped immensely with the congestion and clearing of oil, I was looking for a treatment that would help speed everything up; refresh/brighten/smooth the skin and maintain it that way.So I got a sample of this and the initial application result was SO good that I went in the very next day to buy the full size. From everything Ive tried and Ive oohed and aahed over, this is next level. My skin completely changed after a few applications; no sign of texture, bumpiness, even redness and irritation has subsided. I dont have to pile on makeup. Just a dab of concealer here and there and I look smooth and clear. Paired with weekly use of Sukari babyfacial its given me baby skin. And that is saying a lot as I have battled severe acne, scarring, sensitivity, redness and overall hard to maintain skin that is like having all 4 seasons on one face.Personally I dont use this everyday. I do want to note that you need to be religious with sunscreen with this up to a week after you stop usage. I use SR's UFO oil in between to prevent any potential breakouts.Thank you DE for putting my skin back on track. Its been a tough year for a lot of people, but at least our skin doesnt have to look like that was the case :) Im planning on filling out my DE stash this coming year. « less

makes me sad...

First off, my skin is normal and has the occasional hormonal pimple here and there. I REALLY wanted to love this. I mean when I ordered this online through the VIB 20% off discount, I couldn't wait to try it. I went to my nearest Sephora while this was being shipped (didn't know they carried it at this location) to me and the sales associate gave me a sample for me to try. Later that night, I wash and tone my face and I put this serum on me, and after about 20 minutes my skin feels dry. I wasn't sure if this product was supposed to be used alone or with a night cream of your choice. I wasn't about to put their oil on my face because that is very risky for my pimple-prone skin. So then I put on my regular night cream because my face was dry and itchy. The next morning, the pimple that was going away came back all bright and irritated and there were new pimples. While annoyed, I ignored this figuring goo was coming to the surface trying to get out. After a week and a half use, my cheeks had dry, red spots and I just figured it's not worth it for me. Didn't bring me more pimples, but didn't make any go away. I had to rely on night cream to bring my skin back to normal. My advice, get a sample. A little goes a long way with this product and I still have a lot of the sample left over. So you will get a really good idea if you will like this product. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because I might return to this in the summer to keep me clear from breakouts and my more combo/oily skin. But right now for winter in Chicago, it's definitely not for me. « less

Amazing serum that smoothes and evens out skin

Wow. Wow. Wow. There's so much to like about this serum -- everything but the price! I have sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin. I am 39yo. I use Rx acne medications (tretinoin at 0.05% and Acanya, which is benzoyl peroxide/clindamycin lotion). Using these Rx products make already-sensitive skin extra-cranky. Based on the good reviews and with the recent % off promotion, I figured I'd give it a try. I've used it two weeks now. In this short period of time, dark marks have faded entirely (post-acne hyperpigmentation), my skin has smoothed out so much that I stopped using my primer, and my skin feels like buttah. I didn't experience any sensitivity issues at all with this product and used it nightly from day one. It has a thick gel texture. At first, I was using two pumps, but I think one pump is fine to cover the face. If you want it for use on neck/décolletage, then you might need a pump and a half. Again, I have sensitive skin. Like, really obnoxiously cranky skin that gets red and blotchy when I introduce new products at all. I was totally shocked that I experienced no sensitivy or irritation or redness or flaking -- nothing! -- when using this product. It is so hard to find a product that exfoliates and hydrates at the same time. This product manages to do both. I wish I could tell how much is in the bottle, but it is opaque (likely to keep the product from reacting) and you can't tell. The price is bananas, but it is hard to argue with the results. If you're in your 20s and have no skin issues, save your money. If you have uneven skin,or if you have acne, or if you have fine lines or wrinkles, give this a chance. « less

AAAMAZING! Can't believe this is my skin!

I'm not one to write reviews probably because I've never had that WOW factor...but all I can say about this is WOW!! I have battled the type of acne that has constant congestion, pimples, minor blackheads, hormonal breakouts, and just a rough looking or uneven texture of skin since I was in my early teens and now in my early 30's. I've never known what it is like to have smooth, clear skin. UNTIL NOW! I've also tried every product I feel imaginable, from drug store, to high end and although sometimes I think somethings going to work...it never does. I work at a salon and I have tried professional products, I get regular facials, I go to spa's when on vacation and try their skin care lines and seriously nothing has really worked great. I eat clean, workout 6 days a week, drink plenty of water, religious about washing my face at night..all the things that are suggested to do to help your skin. The first product I bought was the Glycol Night Serum, and no joke, the next morning I saw results! Faster than anything else I've ever tried. So I tried two more days of it, still seeing better and better results and thought, thats it...I need a cocktail of this to really give this regimen a try. So I went down and bought the C-firma Day Serum and Protini Polypeptide Cream. It's now been a month and I can not believe that when I look in the mirror, my skin is my skin! Both my husband and mom have both commented at how great my skin has been looking both from breakouts and texture and I haven't told them about my skin cocktail (yet) so i could get a true opinion. I have read reviews after reviews spending so much time researching products, so if you're doing that same thing right now, I STRONGLY believe that you should give this a try! I know everyone's skin is different and there are factors for each person, but I don't think you'll be disappointed!!! Also, I was not sponsored at all to write this review, just wanting to help someone who is like me! :) « less

Want Smoother Radiant Skin? Who doesn't? GET DRUNK!I have NO wrinkles I've studied skin care since 13 and this is a must read if you want the benefits from Drunk Elephant to longer lashes (random, yes, read on).BIG TIPS:1. Keep all Organic products in a beauty bag in your fridge as they don't have preservatives or they will go bad much faster.2. To keep the serums on your face search Slip Silk on Sephora the finest 6A Mulberry Silk found in the world is here and other LUXE stores. Educate about this particular silk as royalty did not use it for no reason for thousands of years. You love you love your cotton pilllowcase dearly I know I did too (90 is GMO in the US even the finest), but those pillowcase lines in the morning turn into deep wrinkles and absorb serum too (you are sleeping through the night as the serums and ew, sweat absorb into that favorite pillowcase leaving you with minimal benefits and more harm- soils, dust mites, ripping out eyelashes and your hair as well aka bed head).I always STRESS THIS because if you want to stay DRUNK Slip Slik is the answer and after research, your whole bed to pj's will be mulberry silk. Why DE?Obsessed with DE from 1 sample and it wasn't TLC... I put on this yellow cap serum and only sleep 3-4 hours woke up and looked like I slept all night! Amazing right? So, I've been getting DRUNK ever since.Recommend to ALL AGES over 14. I am obsessed and GLOWING - don't forget your neck, chest, hands, yes, even knee, elbows, and feet. We focus so much on our faces and tip-off our age by not focusing on the other AGE GIVEAWAYS.Use TLC FRAMBOOS GLYCOLIC at Night. Please, don't during the day even with sunscreen. Sunscreens actually have a mathematical formula to how long they last and it's not long, unless you want to apply it all day.TLC GLYCOLIC BENEFITS:Reduction in wrinkles and/or prevention, sun/age spots, acne, and pores transforming smaller. You will need to exfoliate meaning it works! « less

What’s a skincare product for someone with really oily skin and acne problems??

Oily Skin

I added this to my night time routine and it has made a big difference. I saw less texture and I don’t break out as often anymore. It also helps with acne scares. I still put a moisturizer on top. Overall I feel that my skin has been more balance and under control after using it!

Combination Skin

Does anyone with Combo skin have a good serum? Growing up I had the WORST skin so I’ve become very dedicated to my skin care routine and I’ve always been so scared to use serums because of how oily my t-zone can be.. but I want to so bad!! Any help or tips are much appreciated!!

Combination Skin

I’m addicted to drunk elephants night serum. Very expensive but so worth it. I have combo acne prone skin and it works great! Also have some of the ordinary products and they work great too!

Does anyone know what a more affordable dupe for this product would be?
