I have oily, aging (late 30’s) skin, extremely fair with a few dark spots, although I wear sunscreen religiously, I live in South Texas and it’s inevitable. I also have very noticeable dark circles under my eyes. I was looking for a product to mix with foundation to darken my skin, hoping it would balance my pale skin/dark undereye circle ratio. I’ve tried several bronzers only to feel like a fool, but I knew if anyone could make a decent bronzer, it’s DE. I’m very glad I splurged on this. I use it daily, with my foundation. It doesn’t accentuate my dark spots! Did you hear that guys?? All of you struggling with dark spots and/or freckles?? It DID NOT accentuate my dark spots! This is a huge deal! How did they do it? Every bronzer, highlighter and blush I’ve ever tried just makes my face orange (or hyper-pigmented) and dirty looking, but not this one. It blends perfectly and doesn’t feel oily, heavy, or sticky. It comes in an easy to use pump-tube, and you get a lot of product for your money. The consistency is similar to a cream foundation, liquid but not runny by any means. I absolutely WILL repurchase, this is a HG product, guys! « less

Foundation free, thanks to D-Bronzi!

WOW. That's about all I can say! I am transitioning my facial routine over to exclusively Drunk Elephant (because their products deliver, every time). D-Bronzi was last on my list and I was skeptical because as a very fair-skinned person, bronzers are tricky (the weird color line at the jaw, the fake orange look, it's bad). As I write this review, it is the middle of January in the Midwest. So my pale skin is even paler! Fortunately, I saw a YouTube review by a fair-skinned gal living in Canada. She raved about it. So I gave it a shot! BYE BYE FOUNDATION. Amazing! What D-Bronzi does: I mix 1/2 to 1 drop of D-Bronzi with Umbra Sheer and spread over my face. The finish is a bit shiny, so I use a Kabuki brush and some setting powder (I like Too Faced Born This Way) and gently brush some setting powder over my D-Bronzi/Umbra Sheer "foundation." The results? Gorgeous, glowy, even-toned skin. I've even kicked my highlighter because I don't need the extra glow anymore. I consider this to be a foundation free routine and I'm hooked! Thanks to D-Bronzi, I eliminated one of the Suspicious Six from my routine--silicone. It is near impossible to find a silicone-free foundation or tinted moisturizer. I just dropped a bundle on a tinted moisturizer only to find I had small bumps across my forehead. I thought I had "oily" skin, but no, silicone just traps oil (rather than actually moisturize your skin) leaving this filmy barrier that then causes bumps on my skin and it has done so for YEARS, I just didn't know. The MINUTE I replaced that tinted moisturizer with D-Bronzi, the bumps disappeared and have never returned.D-Bronzi is also better than foundations and tinted moisturizers because there is absolutely no color line along my jaw. It just looks so natural. I don't know how you do it Drunk Elephant, but THANK YOU! « less

“DUH” bronzi, a no-brainer!

It’s been 3 1/2 months (MONTHS!) since blindly purchasing D-Bronzi. Here’s why it’s worth its weight in gold (“bronze,” if you will):My pigmentation tone is: “the puppy at the pound that’s so ugly it’s cute.” Except I don’t get to wash my skin color off at the end of the day or get paid royalties like the original Oompa Loompa cast of Willy Wonka. In fact, I’ve made relationships with MUA based solely on my desperate requests for help finding ways to tone my skin without looking like I just walked out of a 90’s makeup application. For reference:1. I’ve used this “neat” for all-over face2. I’ve blended this “neat” for cheek, eye, lip, color, and neck/décolleté color/contour3. I’ve mixed with body lotion, face lotion, oil, and *gasp* B.B. creams and foundation. After 3/12 months of critical/cynical use, this is what I’ve found:1. Gives me color and somehow tones my orange down. (How!?)2. Is super-versatile. Think: you want to wear a white skirt but you have ten seconds to transform your leg color from “yoga pants everyday” to “I was cool once” (toddlermomsunite) bonus: minimal-if any-transfer if massaged in all the way!3. I don’t look like a disco ball when used with highlighter or other products with a dewy/glow finish4. Enhanced other products both in texture and finish.Isn’t marketed this way, but I feel like D-bronzi is the answer to the age-old dilemma of needing a different foundation color for every season. Find your ratio of D-Bronzi pumps to foundation dobs, and you’re good year round!5. This tube is going to outlast me and my tween daughter.Newbie Tips:*Store cap-down*If you apply too much the first time, a few quick fix options:-Use a dry washcloth to blot/wipe-Massage a dot of moisturizer over face to dilute the pigment while protecting the tone of any makeup already applied-Wipe hands of residual D-bronzi, massage your face real well, walk away from the mirror and give it a second to settle « less

disappointing product.

I'm a DE fan, but this product doesn't work for me. It makes my decent skin look dirty and uneven, even when applied as suggested with other DE products. I keep trying to use it, but the outcome is the same. It makes me look like I have hyperpigmentation issues, even though I don't! It looks like I didn't blend in too dark foundation, though no amount of blending works. Frustrating.

The PERFECT SUMMER GLOW

I love all things DE and purchased this during the early app access and I am 100% not disappointed. I add about 1 pump to a mixture of Umbra Sheer and Protini and it is the PERFECT combination. I wasn’t wearing much makeup before (thanks again to Drunk Elephant and their amazing skincare regimen) except for some concealer under my eyes, around my nose, and on some lingering pigmentation spots, but I have not had to put ANY face makeup on since picking up D-Bronzi! Somehow this magical serum seems to even out my skin tone while also providing anti-pollution and other skin benefits as well as that amazing beachy glow. I am pretty fair and have not had any issues with this being too dark or looking orange or streaky at all. It is the perfect addition to anyone’s skincare routine. I will be repurchasing this FOREVER.

Looking for a tinted moisturizer or self tanner for my face. Is there anything with more natural ingredients, and that doesn’t cause acne?

these are THE best. I mix them with my primer or foundation (or sometimes nothing, for a summer day) to make a BB crème! They are super versatile bc if you mix with foundation, then you get a tanned BB creme, or you can just wear it by itself. It lasts FOREVER bc you only need one squirt and I haven’t had any skin problems with it!

You should try these! They make you look like you have a natural tan glow. I put them on every morning and mix them with my primer for an easier application.
