My New Favorite Product!

I tried the black label BB Cream, and found that it was too thick and sticky and left me feeling shiny and heavy. I have been wearing this product all week to make sure that it lives up to its first impressions. My skin is sensitive and prone to shine on the forehead. OMG it's amazing! First can we talk about the price?! $36 for 1.7 oz? That's close to half what you would pay per oz for any other foundation at Sephora. The coverage is perfect, enough that I can wear it anywhere and be confident that I look amazing, but so natural, I never feel overdone. I usually want my foundation to provide medium coverage and I love the airbrushed look. This gives me everything I could want.I have a problem finding foundation light/cool enough and the light shade is perfect on me. I have worn it both with an without primer (Dior) and while I noticed a slight a difference, I'm selective when I use the primer. On a normal week day, it's not necessary. On a Friday, for example, if I have to put makeup on early in the morning for work, but want it looking good still for dinner plans later, the primer adds just enough kick to keep it looking pristine for 12+ hours.Coming out of the tube, it looks a little thick, especially if you're used to a liquid foundation. Don't be scared! I use the pro featherweight complexion brush from Sephora to apply and it glides on beautifully with minimal blending. It's so refreshing to put on. It feels like cool water being brushed on my face. Top everything off with the vitamins and sunscreen of a BB Cream and this is a dream come true. « less

A nice surprise

About a year or two ago I went through a BB-cream trying phase, and I've tried a lot of them: drugstore ones, higher end, even original Korean ones. Nothing really worked, they were either too dark, too heavy, clogged my pores and caused breakouts, or better yet were pretty much tinted moisturizers but repackaged. So I went back to regular light-medium coverage foundations. This particular product I had tried on a whim, when it came in a sample tube with one of my orders. First of all the shade fit me perfectly, even though I have very fair skin. But the undertone here is truly neutral, so even if your skin is a bit lighter or darker I have a feeling it will still fit those skintones. Second of all, this is the perfect balance between Korean BB creams (very full coverage, can be a little too heavy on the skin), and Western wanna-be BB creams (or tinted moisturizers). It feels like nothing on the skin, in the same time it evens out your skin tone, and neutralizes some of the redness, but it doesn't make your face look flat like a mask. It is also moisturizing and quite long wearing (I have combination oily skin).Overall, I am very happy with this product, and this is all I am using for my daily makeup right now (with some under-eye concealer). « less

Holy Grail

This is has to be my favorite beauty product right now. I have pale (ivory, not pink/porcelain) skin and it is nearly impossible to find a light non-pink tinted foundation match for me, even with Sephora's color IQ system. This one wasn't on my list but a Sephora employee recommend it to me and I tried it it. It blended so well and is a perfect match for me. I also tend to have a mix of dry skin around my cheeks, and oiliness in my T-Zone, this BB cream works beautifully to hydrate the dry spote yet controll the oil and give my skin a soft matte look. I always finish with powder, and usually have to touch up only once or twice a day (but that's so much better than usually having to touch up every hour with other, actual foundations) Another thing is the coverage. This is way better than a lot of medium to full coverage foundations I've used. I apply with a brush and pat the excess off with a damp beauty blender and it gives my skin such an amazing natural glow. Doesn't look like I'm wearing anything. I also can't feel it on, it's so lightweight and it doesn't smear or come off easily on hands. (Especially when set by powder like Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Setting Powder) I also usually struggle with break outs. Ever since I've started using this my skin seems to be less red, my scars are less noticeable and I don't get acne like I used to. (Except maybe the occasional little bump from monthly hormones) I am so happy with this product, I cannot praise it enough. I will continue to refill every time I run out. It's a staple in my make up bag, and a part of my daily beauty routine. Thank you, Dr. Jart ❤ « less

This literally stinks.

I don't care what benefit or finish this has. The smell was horrible. From the second I squeezed the product into my hands it hit me:/ Have you ever ran into someone who took their lunch break to go to the tanning bed and didn't shower before coming back to work? It's nasty and that is what this smells like. If you are not sensitive to smells and want to proceed this is best suited for the fairest of the fair. I have larger pores and noticed an immediate difference in the look of them. It was shocking how it smoothed them out. The problem is that the effect was short lived. I think facial movements, smiling especially, stretched the polymers which gave the cool smoothing effect, and I was left with a regular foundation. After three hours I finally gave in and washed my face. I couldn't take the odor any longer. Another issue I have is that after I removed the BB Cream I did not apply any skin care. I was at home for the day and got side tracked. Within 30 minutes my face started feeling very uncomfortable. There was a pulling sensation as if all of the moisture has been removed. I have combination skin so I can handle some oil absorbing benefits but this was over the top. I would say if the pore diffusion had lasted it could be worth it to some to suffer through the stink. But at least on me, that was very short lived. Moving on.

I am getting married soon and I’m wanting to branch out from foundation to a more natural face. Does anyone know of a good tinted moisturizer or CC cream for combination to oily skin? Preferably something clean and organic if possible? Thank you <3
