Best BB By Far

I've sampled almost every foundation, tinted moisturizer and BB cream, as a beauty-product addict and someone who works for people in the skincare and beauty industries, and this one is AMAZING. I'm a prematurely grumpy 30-something and I'm not a fan of how everything is overstated these days. I don't say OMG. I do not use the word amazing, in caps, unless I've found something that justifies being that grandiose. This does. Every other tinted moisturizer or BB that I've ever used has been temperamental-you have to apply quickly and blend perfectly before they dry or they'll pill and splotch. If I don't apply them straight out of the shower, it's over. But this one is almost foolproof. The texture is hard to feels very creamy and emollient, not liquid-y. It's not tint suspended in water, it's more like an opaque silicone sort of thing. And while it surely doesn't have silicone in it, it must have SOME sort of ingredient that repels water, because I wet my face after applying it once and the water beaded up and rolled off rather than being absorbed. That's why it blends perfectly. Obviously this ingredient is noncomedogenic, because it says it helps with blemishes, and my skin has never been so clear, even after taking it off. I'm able to apply this with my fingers, and the blend is still perfect. You would see fingerprints if this were any other foundation or tinted moisturizer, but somehow this just melts into place. The coverage is ideal for me, it conceals my rosacea and dark spots, and it lasts all day. The ONLY caveat is that it seems to be available in only one shade, which is a neutral, very light one. I see that other reviewers mention different shades, but my bottle says nothing about coloration. This leads me to believe it's a one-shade-fits-all situation. That, of course, is not realistic. It's great for me, since I have pale skin, but it's pretty myopic and would annoy me if I were darker. Hopefully this Asian line will branch out and include other ethnicities as it gains popularity. « less

My New Best Friend!

LOVE this stuff! I have been using a tinted moisturizer + powder for quite some time, and wanted to check out the BB Creams. I've got a lot going on with my skin(dry, flaky, red/sensitive, rosacea..) so I really like the idea of keeping things as simple and pure as possible. I started feeling like I was layering up so many things just to tone down the redness and cover up spots and balance the flakiness and even out my skin. Well that's all changed, thanks to this!I had 2 girls showing me various BB Creams in-store, just to see how they differ. I was nearly sold on the Boscia when I was shown this one by Dr. Jart. Now, there were 3 different ones, but the Black Label Detox BB Cream is the one that I felt really made a difference when I tried it on my face. SO Glad I made the purchase! With the combination of my new First Aid Beauty skincare and this BB Cream replacing my tinted moisturizer + Primer + powder, my skin is looking better than it's looked in years. It appears smoother and the tone is SO much more even! I have gotten compliments on how great my skin looks! Now, I have to point out that this product will adjust to your skin tone, so it can look good on me, but also look good on, say, my sister-in-law who has completely different skin tone. I use a brush to put it on and blend it, and I find it "settles" down over time. I put it on before work and I feel like I can see it a bit, but by the time I get to work 30min. later it looks even and smooth with a bit of a dewy look. It seems to hold up pretty well for the better part of the day although, if I were going out in the evening, I might touch up a bit. Even if I layer it up, it does NOT feel heavy or cakey, and I haven't had any problem with it transferring onto clothes or anything. Less

Best BB Cream for Sensative Light-toned Dry Skin!

I have like very sensative combination dry skin, so that every oil-free foundations I've tried would dry out my face leaving cracks around nose and mouth, but creamy products would easily break me out :( I've tried about 20 brands of BB cream, both western ones and asian ones, but this dr.jart black label bb cream is the only one I've tried that could keep me moisturized without breaking me out. And actually when I first started using it, I could really see that it heals my acne scars and blemishes. I've acidentally fell asleep with it on for about 2 hrs in the noon, and when I woke up, my skin looked brightened and smoothier...which was so rare for me because I once slept with just uv protection on and it broke me out just after 1 hr. But still, I do take it off with a nice and gentle remover at night, and my skin breaks out much less now than before I started using this bb cream on a regular basis. For the staying power, normally when I don't sweat a lot, it would wear off like half by the end of the day. My skin would still look evened but less covered. The best part for me is it doesn't leave patches like many other. When it's summer and I get oily nose, it would slide off within an hour so I have to set it with powder. (Though now that I discovered the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder, I set it anyways to lock in the moisture.)Color wise it does look a little ashy upon apply, but after several minutes it sets and just slightly brightens up my face. I imagine that it probably wouldn't work for dark skin or very light skin tone, but for most asian and light nuetral to cool skin tone it would look great.Coverage wise, because I have occasional break outs and light acne scars, I would say this is medium coverage. It evens my skin tone naturally but not "flawlessly". It's about the same coverage as the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. But this bb cream is so creamy, I haven't found any foundation that looks more fine and natural when blended. Also, I use my fingers to apply and blend it.The only bb cream I've found better when applied was the etude house precious mineral bright fit, which I absolutely loved but had to stop using because it broke me out so badly ;( Less

I have very oily, acne prone skin, so I was interested in trying to product since it was supposed to calm blemishes or whatever. Well, there's only one color choice (which is just silly), and they say it's supposed to blend into your skin tone, which is also silly because it doesn't do that! I have light skin, but this BB cream made me look sooo dark and grayish. It did NOT blend with my skin tone at all. Maybe if you have darker skin this would match better...The coverage is pretty good. If you want sheer coverage just use less and vice versa. So what is my main beef with this? It's so greasy and oily! I already used primer but it was so oily that I just looked like a greaseball. And it wasn't like it was matte for the first hour and then started getting greasy. It was greasy upon application. Am returning for sure. Really wanted to love this product, but I'll just have to accept that BB creams and oily skin don't mix. Less

This is seriously perfect for dry/normal/combination/sometimes really dry skin. Especially if you feel like dullness is an issue and you want a glowy look naturally. I tried this by getting a sample in my of the things in that order being the Smashbox Camera Ready BB kit mainly because I wanted to try the Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder for setting. Anyways, did not love the BB but noticed I randomly got a sample of this BB so I tried it the next day and was astounded. My skin glowed, it evened me out & covered redness, it livened up my skin and took away the stark paleness of winter skin, it eliminated my pores that never bothered me but now look 1000x better, and I just look so glowy! Something Ive been trying to achieve through makeup yet still wanting it to look natural for years. My skin has never looked so good & it transforms my whole face & makeup look. I did get a Clarisonic in November and that has helped a lot along with hg skincare products I found recently, but still, this stuff is magic. Its not yellow, pink, muddy, anything. It just takes away any "bad" tones in your complexion and makes it seem naturally perfect. I do have good skin yet somehow makeup never truly perfected it for me until trying this. Seriously HG & I am a total product junkie. I want everything. Yet I cannot see myself ever discontinuing use of this - no matter the season. However I would try the Premium one in the gold tube. PS - I set with BM Original Lose Powder which only sets it, yet it enhances the glow and does not affect the appearance or color. Then after all my makeup is applied I finish with UD Chill Setting Spray. Perf all day. Stays dewy but does not rub off or go anywhere. Foundation always rubs off for me and gets messed up if I scratch my face or wear my glasses..despite having dry skin (no oil to cause it to slip around)..yet this BB does nothing of the sort. LOVE.
