Wow, Love It!

This is THE best soap! REAL soap, not sudsy, petroleum based, preservative laden detergent. Liquid body washes, hand "soaps" and even bar "soaps" are not really soap. Most are made from toxic, petroleum derived oils and sodium laurel sulphate to make them suds.I have rosacea (red, bumpy, sensitive skin on face and chest), which has been getting progressively worse over the last few years. I have taken hormones, antibiotics, steriod creams, and other prescriptions as well, each with only limited temporary results. My skin was only getting worse. Someone suggested I try Dr. Bronner's soap, so I did. And I'm so glad I tried it! I'm now thinking a big part of my problem was the artificial ingredients in my other cleansers (and I've tried all the expensive ones). None of them contained any true natural soap. I never even knew there was a difference!Well, I'm sold on this. I put a little full strength in a travel bottle and filled the rest with water to use in the shower. My skin gets clean. REALLY clean. This is important especially since I live in Florida where it is very warm and humid a good part of the year. My skin was just accumulating oil and never really getting clean unless I did a complete steam facial. The first week I used this, my skin felt really sensitive, stinging a little while washing. My face started flaking and peeling somewhat ( I also use Retin-A cream prescribed by my Dr) so I was not that concerned. I stuck with the regimine. It was like I had gotten a chemical peel (yes, done that before, too). Well, a week later, all the "dead" skin peeled off completely and now my skin is like new! I can't believe it! I'm not sure why my skin peeled like that, but maybe my old cleanser was not exfoliating properly in conjunction with my Retin A. The Dr. Bronner's seems to work perfectly together with my prescription. After washing my face, I dab a little olive oil on my skin and it drinks it in. My skin is soft, less redness, no bumps or rough patches, oiliness is more normalized. Bonus- freckles are lighter! Now I'm using Dr. Bronner's on my body in the shower, as well and my arms and legs are so smooth and soft. Immediately after stepping out of the shower, I smooth on a little olive oil and my skin glows. Maybe the olive oil works especially well with this soap because the soap is a natural product. Before, when I used "body wash", the oil would just sit on top of my skin. This soap has sooo many uses. I think I've found my all purpose cleaning product. I diluted it with water and put it in a spray bottle to clean my counter tops and shower tiles. I diluted it in a bucket of water to clean my tile floors, no rinsing either, by the way. I put 1 cup of Borax, 1 cup of washing soda, and 1/4 cup of Dr. Bronner's liquid in a food processor, pulsed it a few time to mix well and used 2 tablespoons of this for laundry detergent (works great for laundry). My clothes and towels come out fresh, clean, and really soft. No need for fab softener. I store this in a Rubbermaid container and used a coffee scoop to measure. This amount of laundry soap lasts my family of 5 about a month, so you can do the math on the savings. I also mixed it with water into a Bath&BodyWorks foaming hand soap dispenser and use it at the sinks (my kids love it)for hand washing. If you are searching for a natural, organic ingredient product that has multiple uses, is non toxic and works great, try this soap! I highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to trying the other varieties of this soap (maybe Rose or Almond next). « less

Only face/body soap I need or want

When I find something that meets my needs, I tend to stick with it unless I find something better. When it comes to soap for my face and body, Dr. Bronner's is a superior product in every way that is important to me. In order of importance: copious sudsing with effective cleaning; gentle on skin/non-drying;; chemical free and clean rinsing, leaving no residue on me OR in my glass and tile shower. Your needs may vary, but it meets all my needs perfectly. I predilute for daily showers-1 to 4 in a pump bottle and use as needed during showering, with a washcloth. It can be diluted further and still be effective, but I like my suds. What surprised me about this soap, which I bought for body wash in the shower, is how good it is for the FACE. My face just feels "normal" after washing. It takes off my daily makeup, but I still have to use an oil based remover beforehand, if I have a waterproof mascara on. It takes off the rest and removes the oily residue from the mascara remover. I have no NEED for scrubs, toners and moisturizers anymore. I have thrown out my various "used once" face washes, toners and a plethora of acne treatments; all the STUPID bottles of body washes (olay, neutrogena, Dove-etc) and "beauty" bars of every kind taking up room under the bathroom sink are now in the trashcan. I use the Bronner's nearly every day, the St. Ives scrub once a week (as needed, on face and body) and an AHA moisturizer that I continue to use twice a week on my face. I use a variety of brands of cosmetics..too many to list, both oil and water based. Please, never stop making this magic soap and never change the formula, even if you have to raise the pricing on it. It is already a HUGE bargain for those of us who have done the math comparing the QUALITY and effectiveness of Bronner's with nearly every other soap available and after factoring in all the other facial products that are required to combat the effects of using ordinary soaps, it's value is obvious.-R « less

Amazing product

I have been using this for many years trying to leave harmful chemicals from my life and let me say this does wonders! I use this product for a multitude of things like laundry detergent, shampoo, toothpaste, and house cleaner. The price is reasonably fair for all the uses you can get out of it and the fact that a little goes a long way. The major part I like about this shampoo is for the fact that it does not have the harmful chemicals like most products now days do have. This is also good for the fact that it helps your body from taking in the chemicals and it helps the environment with not putting all that nasty stuff out there. The smell is also very pleasing because of the almond extract that is all organic. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good quality brand, that is safe for anyone even sensitive skin and for those who want to reduce their chemical foot print « less

Gentle for Sensitive Skin!

I absolutely love Dr. Bronner's soaps! The tea tree is my favorite! I started using this because I have very sensitive skin and was looking for something that was free of parabens, alcohol, and chemicals. A friend recommended I give this a try and it's fantastic. It's so gentle on the skin and I even like the scent. At first I was skeptical of whether or not it worked because Castile soap doesn't really lather and I was thinking without the lather it wouldn't cleanse properly but fortunately this is not the case at all! It leaves the skin so smooth, soft, and most importantly clean! I even use it to wash my face! Love how it cleans off every last bit of my make-up without a lot of effort so my skin does not get red or blotchy. It even clears up an occasional break out. It's a bit pricey but a little goes a long way and it does an awesome job!EffectivenessIt works great on all types of skin! It's always been difficult for me to find something for my extremely sensitive skin and finally this does the job!ScentI personally like the scent, I find it rather pleasant. My hubby on the other hand doesn't like the smell, he thinks it's too strong. « less

not for sensitive skin!

I am so disappointed by this product. I bought it because of the natural factor - I do NOT want SLS in my hair or my kids' hair. I bought this thinking it would be great for the kids as well as me - for our bodies and our hair. Well, the first time the boys had it in the tub, it left red welt-looking rashes on their skin! Next time, I used it only on their hair and it left the same thing around their foreheads. So no more for them!I have been using it myself, and only on my hair, as I got welt-like rashes on my skin as well. At first it seemed to be working well, but now my hair is dry, brittle and extremely ratty! I can't even get a brush through it. I am using the rest of what I have (more than half a bottle) in laundry, as I can't see wasting it considering how much it cost!I will not be buying Dr Bronner's again, unless it works well for laundering. I'm extremely disappointed and hope that my hair can be saved. « less

AMAZING SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN/REDNESS! 1: cleanse with dr bronners citrus orange soap MIXED with The Body Shop’s tea tree oil clearing facial wash. I get a little travel size plastic bottle and mix the two. I do this day and night for best results!! 2: use Witch Hazel on a cotton ball all over your face 3: after that’s dried a little use a small amount of aloe Vera all over. This helps with redness and soothes the skin amazingly!!! 4: for the moisturizer I use Vitamin E Oil all over. Can put on a cotton ball. BEEN DOING THIS FOR ALMOST A MONTH, ACNE HAS CLEARED, DARK SPOTS FADED, AND REDNESS REDUCED SIGNIFICANTLY. SKIN IS LESS OILY OR DRY. !!USING VITAMIN E OIL WILL NOT MAKE OILER SKIN OILY! YOUR BODY MAKES YOUR SKIN PRODUCE MORE OIL WHEN YOURE LACKING IT!!! (BETTER DIET MAKES A DIFFERENCE TOO) #redness #acne #darkspots #acnescars #sensitiveskin

Anything that will help with my acne on cheeks😖? I’m so insecure about it and I’ve been having it since last year. It will come and go away. I can’t find anything for it I’ve tried so many face washes, toners, moisturizers Etc and nothing seems to help does anybody recommend something that will definitely work. I was also taking minocycline but unfortunately it stopped working for me.

This is a really good face wash if you’re looking for something that has very minimal ingredients and is all natural. It really helped get rid of my breakouts and has helped alot with controlling my oils without drying my skin. Also can be used for the body .

Hey there. I’m brand new to this app and I was hoping it could help me. I have been having the worst time with my skin recently. I originally have very dry and sensitive skin (even the brand “Simple” burns my skin). Over the years, it has become combination skin. I thought I had finally figured out my skin care routine with “First Aid Beauty” and it worked for a short time but now it just seems worse. My skin seems to always be changing just after a couple of months of starting something new. I’m on here to find help with everything from acne to curing the dark circles under my eyes but is also cheap, cheerful, and somewhat easy to maintain in routine.

Pesky pimples that’s not going away for weeks? I broke out in cystic acne after using the L’Oréal infallible pro matte foundation. The pimples turned into hard bumps that’s been the same for over 2 weeks now. I tried the MB drying lotion but it gave me red bumps. Thank you!

Although it’s not specifically designed for it, I use Dr. Bronner brand soaps because they are natural and multipurpose. They always leave my brushes feeling clean.
