Since I am only 17, I did not use this on my skin, being that I don't have wrinkles or signs of aging. My mother (who is 50 years old) was eager to try this Dior product and was very excited to see how well it will truly work! Being that this is a Dior product and retails at $95, our expectations were even higher then usual, and let me tell you - our expectations were definitely met! First off, the packaging was very "Dior" like. Very chic and sophisticated. Using 3 pumps, my mother applied this to her face and neck. We were both immediately amazed!!! One important thing that my mother really liked was that after about a minute or two, the serum adsorbed into the skin perfectly. My mother has oily skin, so she does not have very pronounced or very deep wrinkles, but all the fine lines & wrinkles that she does have were smoothed out and plumped and much less noticeable. Her pores were tightened & her skin looked much smoother and very radiant. It also was smooth to the touch. She commented that it made her skin look younger and brighter, which I definitely agreed to! Her neck was smoothed as well, and the fine lines were pumped and less noticeable. My mother used this on her face & neck for two weeks in a row and as time went on, the results seemed to last and the overall condition of her skin noticeably improved. She received many compliments on her skin, and my father even noticed and said how gorgeous she looked and how smooth and radiant her skin looked! She is still using it to this day and loving ever drop of it! Not a day or night goes by where she doesn't pamper herself with this serum. My mother & I were very, very impressed with this product. It definitely lived up to the promises on the box and up to our expectations! I recommend this product to any women who wants to plump up wrinkles, smooth out fine lines, purify their skin, and restore younger, brighter and more radiant skin. Bottom line : AMAZING PRODUCT!!!! « less

really wanted to love this but...

i'm new to skin care. in my 20s and figured splashing my face with water and taking off eye makeup wasnt enough anymore. i got this as a sample. at first it gives you this amazing boost to your skin. it feels like the wrinkles diminish rapidly (granted I really only have fine lines on my forehead but still i feel like it made a difference) and the scent is magnificent. made my skin smooth and wonderful. BUT im afraid of what this would do to my skin long term. ive been using it for about 3 weeks and already it stings my face when i put it on and i feel like the amount of alcohol in it does not react well with other skin care products i use. i also believe it is contributing to breakouts in my skin--if youve ever attempted to use rubbing alcohol to dry out a pimple only ever to make it worse than you understand what i mean. on one hand i think the alcohol in the product probably makes the product and any other moisturizers or serums absorb better but on the other it inflames the skin to make it appear like wrinkles have diminished. bottom line--would probably be awesome for occasional use or a quick fix if you need a boost before an event... but who actually wants to pay this kind of money for something that would damage your skin long term? still looking for the best of both worlds. « less

W0W!!! I'm in l0VE!

I hardly ever write reviews but this one deserves it. I got a sample of this in the store and could not really tell much about how well it was going to work because the sample only lasted a few days. As much as I hated to spend so much money on a serum, I knew that sephora had an awesome return policy if it did not work out for me. I will definitely not be returning this! I usually have combination skin acne prone skin. My skin tends to break out even more in the winter because of the dryness. This winter my skin has been exceptionally dry for some reason, meaning that I have also had more breakouts. I am sensitive to many skincare products so I figured this might make me break out, but I wanted to try it so bad because of all of the great reviews. I wanted a good serum to go under my moisturizer to help with the dryness and for anti aging benefits. I am do glad I took the plung to buy this. Within a week not only was my skin silky smooth and no longer patchy and dry, it was also almost completely clear of breakouts. In 2 weeks I did not have not one pimple, and I haven't had one since. I have never had any product do that for me. I guess it really does increase cell turnover and eliminate toxins that would cause breakouts. Even the fine lines (not that I have many. I am still in my early twenties) around my eyes have smoothed out. My makeup goes on so well. I use bare minerals cleanser, moisturizer, and makeup. I also use origins skincare a lot too. I just recently started using bare minerals moisturizer. But I am just so shocked that this serum does so much. I only use it once in the morning under my moisturizer, and it has made such a huge difference in my skin in 4 weeks. I am now a believer in Dior totale one essential. It really is the one essential thing that I need in my skincare routine. It had made all the difference. I will continue to purchase this for as long as I can afford it. It really is worth it to me since I have suffered so much with my skin due to constant breakouts. I haven't seen my skin this clear since I was on accutane a few years ago. Now I have found something that isn't even for acne that works perfectly and it give me the anti aging benefits that I need. Thanks Dior and sephora! « less

I took a leap of faith and purchased this product based on near perfect reviews here and via search engines. This is only a preliminary review as I've only been using this for a month, but I wanted to share my thoughts. Quick background info: I recently turned 23. I have dehydrated, oily, sensitive skin with rosacea and mild-moderate acne that I treat with Differin Gel. I was specifically attracted to this product because of its claims to eliminate toxins and make skin appear smoother. How I use this product: 2.5 pumps in the evening for my face and neck. In the little information booklet that comes with this product, a specific detoxifying massage (with diagram) is suggested to boost toxin elimination, but I don't do it. I generally don't like to rub, stretch, or tug at the skin on my face any more than I have to. Results: My skin really is noticeably brighter and most importantly to me, it LOOKS softer. I am breaking out in tiny colorless bumps though. Mostly along my cheeks and mouth area. Perhaps my skin is just purging itself or this serum may be too rich for my skin type? This is why I limit application to evenings only. I'm not too devastated though because I noticed that when I follow the application of this serum with my Differin Gel, the bumps and any other pimples I have are significantly reduced. I suppose it is true then that this serum boosts the effectiveness of your skincare routine. Because my skin is now softer, makeup looks so much more natural on. I've also noticed that my laugh lines are more faint, but longer use is necessary to really see if this serum is making a difference in that area. Overall, I think this serum is a good investment and I would repurchase. I will update my review after a more prolonged and continuous use. Good luck, everyone! « less

Long post, but with reason.

First things first: Big shout-out to Connie of Sephora. Thank you for the Valentine's gift and letter. You made me feel like a rock star! Now to Dior. I used this for over one month, and I e-mailed notable observations to myself on my experience with this product. Here they are. I hope it helps you! My first use was February 15th, in the AM: First impression: this is a runny serum, just like 1st Wrinkle Serum by Caudalie. Smells like soap and roses. I'm actually following the insert, using 2-3 pumps (3 for me) and doing their silly 2 step recommended ritual to optimize effectiveness. Skin dries to an unfortunate gummy, moist finish. No need for a separate moisturizer, though, which is a plus. I tried to layer my moisturizer (right now, Clinique's Moisture Surge) on top, but it was too much, and made my face feel gross. Dior alone is fine. Feb. 17th, after 4 applications: I rubbed my face this morning and paused because it was so supple and soft. This was the first sign of change. No visible signs. Just noticed change to the touch. I'm not doing the lymphatic drainage massage anymore, out of laziness. Just applying this serum. Feb. 18th Note to self: I don't get "gummy face" if I spread one pump on left side, one pump on other side of my face, and one pump for the neck. If I apply with wide circles then it can cover all the surface area. My skin feels hydrated and moist an hour later. March 1: I can see that my skin looks close to what it looked like when I was 23-24. I'm really happy with it. My face looks softly radiant and fresh. The micro-lines under my tear ducts, close to my nose, are gone. I've forgotten about the very, very fine lines on my cheeks that I used to scrutinize with resignation, but I'm liking what I see in the mirror. This is "that" week of the month, and I'm liking what I see. That says something. March 8th: After 21 days of twice daily use, I have true improvement in my skin. The Pangaea organics staff adviser says on their Sephora Q & A profile, "It takes the cells anywhere from 25-45 days to undergo complete turnover...This process slows as we age, so it’s a general recommendation to give any new product 1-2 months before full results are seen." I was very lukewarm about this the first application, then FELT the results after 4 applications, and now at 21 days (42 applications) I SEE the results. It's like exercise: you feel it before you see it, and it takes at least a couple of weeks for real physical change to show. My skin looks like it did when I was 24. I'm 30 now; I can tell I've aged, as the skin is relatively less firm but this is definitely reversing some of the signs of aging. Today, March 19th: My sunspot on my left cheek, which was worsened by another product a few months ago, has noticeably faded. My skin is more even-toned, oily parts are calm, rough parts are moist, and my skin looks great. This is better than Clinique's Even Better Skin Corrector, better than Caudalie's Vino perfect Radiance Serum, and their 1st Wrinkle Serum. I will buy my 2nd bottle when this is gone. In closing: 3 pumps = about 0.5 ml, and at 30 ml this bottle should last me 60 days. I will keep taking notes and check back in again when my bottle is gone. Had I only received a sample of this, I honestly would not have liked it but as you can see over my last month's notes, it has come out a true performer. With Sephora's return policy, there is no reason you should not try this for yourself! « less

I’ve been wanting to buy a high quality skin care line but don’t know where to start. There are so many expensive brands. I just want to make sure I’m not wasting my money on something that won’t work for me. What skin care brands do you guys recommend??
