Cooling, softening, a little goes a long way.

If you have oily or normal skin, this is a terrific cream. It feels so cool and soft going on the skin, and requires so little that a 1.7 oz bottle should last about 6 months. Dior is a little more expensive than other lines, and its also a little LESS expensive than other lines. But with quality like this and the fact that you will not need to buy it very often, makes it WORTH IT.Older and drier skin might want to try the Capture Total creams. Although its a matter of opinion. If you have dry skin and want to try Hydra-Life, I say go ahead - it may work well for you. Personally, I am 58 and have dry, very sensitive skin. I prefer the Capture Totale line because its richer, but keep HydraLife sorbet crème for super-hot days.I have rosacea and very sensitive skin and Dior products are the only ones that do not cause burning and redness because they have little to no fragrance. I was so happy, that at age 58 I have found the perfect skin care line after literally trying all the others. Less

I didn?t want to love this, as I tend to gravitate more towards the natural lines, less towards the designer lines, but honestly, this has been a game changer for me. Sebum and shine have been out of control over the last few years, and living in Florida doesn?t help! In addition, my skin is dehydrated, prone to breakouts, and super sensitive. Well, this essence calms the sebum production down, plumps and freshens the skin, my skin feels soft and supple, and the shine is gone. My skin drinks it and it?s quenching the thirst of my skin. The smell is strong, kind of perfumey, but I believe the scent is from the extracts, not from added fragrance. It?s also very cooling on the skin, great for summer. Last note. Hyperpigmentation causes me to wear foundation, but since I started with this product, I haven?t needed it. I think my skin has brightened, texture smoothed, which has been noticed by my aesthetician. She told me that my skin looks much happier than my last visit with her. (This was the only adjustment to my skin care routine!) Less

Good Stuff for Sensitive Skin

I have extremely sensitive skin. I cannot wear most make up brands or use most skin care lines without getting painfully tight, red skin. Sometimes, just for fun just about any cosmetic product will also cause huge cystic acne. I hadn't used anything on my face for about 10 years when my dermatologist recommended Dior because it is made in France and doesn't have a lot of the chemicals that brands in the US do. I am very, very pleased with this moisturizer. It is hydrating without being oily and the best thing is that I can use it without a reaction!!!! My skin is no longer tight and red. Also, no breakouts!

Smells amazing butnot suitable for acne prone skin

If you do not have acne prove skin, you may like this cream. It has no amazing properties but does have a lovely unique smell and feels great on the skin. If you have acne prone skin read on. As soon as I received the cream I could not wait to open it and use it! I applied it that same afternoon. While I was applying the cream I was feeling extremely happy with my purchase. It felt wonderful, refreshing, hydrating, pampering. The next day I was utterly devastated! Several pimples had emerged some above my jawline and most on the cheek at the side of my face. I have acne prove skin but I have been having this issue under control and for the past three years I had no problem with acne. When I woke up with breakouts I felt as if I was traveling back in that devastating time of acne. I stopped using it and returned to using my regular cream routine and thankfully within a nine days my face returned to normal (the breakouts were extinguished). If someone with acne prone skin had warned me of possible breaking out I would never had considered buying this cream. I may had considered a sample and trying the cream on a small surface of my face. Those of us who ha gone through acne in the past or still struggle with it know how devastating this can be and we all wish to refrain from anything that may trigger acne. « less
