Worth it to review

I mix a black-bean sized amount of ‘002’ with primer, sunscreen and moisturizer in the morning and it is just enough to really even out a lot of the unevenness and hyperpigmentation I have while providing a glow; if I use too much of this, it becomes too cool/pink (information provided in the packaging does note a ‘rosy/peachy’ finish for the complexion) but does not deter me from using this for my hard-to-match, light yellow olive skintone. It will work well for those who have beige/cool undertones.I have oily/acne prone skin and this does not help me with oil control as I always have to blot constantly throughout the day no matter if I am wearing makeup or not but it really seems to sink into the skin rather than sitting on top of it. I noticed with the BM matte foundation powder, that I could see the small pores I do have on my nose before the end of the day and do not have the same issue with this bb cream, it really helps keeps an even finish to my face all day long. For extra areas needing more coverage, I dab a little bit of this on directly around my eyes, nose and any acne and finish with powder. I do not like using a lot of makeup or like the feeling of piled on foundation/cake face and for some reason feel this does a better job at concealing and providing an overall even skintone than heavy makeup/concealer.The BM matte powder has since become a great alternative as a heavier concealer when needed and applied with a small brush. It is expensive but since I am using a small amount it will last a long time and makes it worth it; this is my first liquid makeup of any kind and am glad to have found it and don’t think I will look for another one. I will repurchase. « less

I am absolutely in love with this stuff. I was using the Kat Von D Lock it Tattoo Foundation before this, which had AMAZING coverage, but I just was not happy with how heavy it was. I went in Sephora to return it and came across this BB cream, and decided to try it. I have always been a foundation person rather than BB cream, but I was breaking out lately and thought that I should probably change that. The only downside to this product is that there are only four colors, but luckily 002 matched me just about perfect. I believe this foundation would honestly work on just about any skin tone. It's a natural-dewey finish, which is great for dry skin. However, I have extremely oily skin and find that some powder helps it just fine. I prefer a glowy look over a completely matte look, it makes me look flat, in my opinion. Now the coverage for this is good, considering its a BB cream. You may need concealer for any peaky areas but this evens out the skin tone fantastically. I dont find it lasts all day; after about 8-10 hours its wearing off my face, but thats due to my overly use of oil sheets. I say, try it! « less

I bought this on accident. I was deciding between this and the airflash foundation (I use to use it all the time but it was so expensive I stopped but was going to go back to it). I accidentally left this in my basket instead of the airflash and I'm so glad I did! Incredibly easy to apply using fingertips and blending. Superb coverage that's creamy, bright and natural looking. If you have acne or dark scars you might need concealer but with any redness or discoloration this covers! I stood in the sun with it and it still looked fantastic. My advice is to color match yourself by blending on your jaw in the sun if possible. The color comes out VERY light and turns darker once you rub it in. I ended up being 001 instead of 003 which looked like a perfect match in the store but ended up orange on my NC20 skin later. I went back and was in between a 001 and 002. I chose the 002 since summer is coming. My foundation/powder search is over. Completely impressed! It also smells gorgeous! Light, pretty, fresh, expensive... I would buy this in a perfume if they had it available. I have extreme combination skin (very oily t-zone and VERY dry patches on cheeks and underyes) handled both areas perfectly. Hydrated my cheeks but kept my oil at bay. « less

The makeup that doesn't look like makeup

I was recommended this BB creme by a friend but I was cautious. Most BB creams I've tried have been heavy, orange, thick and sunscreeny or else so sheer that they don't cover anything at all. I bought this BB creme after playing with the texture of it in the store. I liked how smooth, lightweight and sheer it wore on my hand, and decided to try it. One thing I love about this product is the fact that it wears nicely and still covers all of my acne scars and patchy toned areas, but doesn't look masky or greasy. There's something "luminous" about the wear on my skin, but I don't mean sparkly or shiny, it's just something to do with the tone of the formula. I am a late-20s asian woman with big pores, a very, very oily t-zone and consistent breakouts. I've found that I still need to finish my look up with a sheer pressed powder to stave off shine, but this is true with every single product I have ever used. The formula is a bit runny, but I find that adds to the ease of blending and the buildable quality of the coverage. I like apply with Tarte's foundation brush for perfect coverage, but it also looks nice with a normal flat foundation brush or with a beauty blender sponge. I've also applied it with my fingers in a quick pinch and have had no complaints. If you are looking for a natural looking BB cream that brings out the best in your skin rather than covering it up, definitely buy!! « less

not for dry skin

I bought this because my sister said that it is amazing for her skin, she has a pretty sensitive skin, I tried hers she has shade N3 I liked the finish, so I just went and bought one for myself I am shade 2, the finish is so pretty BUT for dry skin girls, I looked older than my age every single dry spot fine line was saying hello, it has emphasized pores and texture I didn't know I had, it was very bad. I tried it with so many primers so many moisturizers nothing has worked, the lasting power is so poor after a couple of hours it faded the only thing left was the dry patched.I tried very hard to love it. I had to return it, instead I purchased another foundation and I am very very happy with the choice I made.
