Let me start by saying that by far this is The Best foundation I have tried till this day. I have used a range of products such as MAC, MAKE Up For ever, Chanel, & other CD foundations and none have given me the light look with full coverage and long lasting effect as this one. I believe to have a combination skin since in the summer my skin is oily around the T zone and chin and during the winter it could get a bit dry. Like others have mentioned I recently purchased my new bottle and the consistency has changed a bit since the last bottles I have used. I have been using this product now for over a year and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It makes my skin feel like silk & it gives my face a porcelain look, exactly like the dolls. Does not evaporate like others when in the sun or in heat & no need for retouch. I usually do my make up prior to changing into the days wardrobe and the make up actually stays on the face and not the clothes. I have tried with primers and without, with setting sprays and without and the look is FAB. About the compliments, I can honestly say I get compliments almost on a daily basis, The best compliment was after more than 12 hours in a delivery room and not having the time to remove my make up at night the next day shift nurses asked me if I had gotten up early to do my make up for the baby visitors. I laughed and told them that the make up I was wearing was from the day before, talk about LONG LASTING without the retouch. I have recommended the product to a few people and as well as I have fell in love. Will definitely continue to purchase. I am obsessed with the look it gives & the way it feels. « less

NEW HOLY GRAIL! This foundation is everything it’s supposed to be and better! It is a healthy matte finish; I have dry skin and it does not accentuate but rather covers flawlessly over my dryer areas. So dry skin girls can also use this! Towards the end of the day, I still barely see any oil coming through and that’s not usually the case for me. So this does the great job at controlling your oils! I don’t even use a primer with mine. I just put it over my Dior DreamSkin serum!Color range: I am certain there can be lighter shades than the lightest shade in this range. However, there are 24 shades with various undertones; warm (golden), neutral, cool (rosy). Yes, you may still have a hard time if the lightest shade is still too dark, but other than that, I think the shade range is fantastic.I am 30 yrs old and have pretty decent skin. My main skin concerns are fine lines, pores, and dullness. This foundation is FULL COVERAGE. On my skin, it doesn’t even need to be built up, it is very full coverage after one coat. I even learned that I like to give it an extra blend because it is so much coverage. I would be careful how much you put on your face prior to blending out because a little bit really does spread and go a long way with this foundation. I use half of what I would normally use. It is so flawless and beautiful. It photographs nicely as well as there isn’t any SPF. The finish is a “luminous matte”, but a very soft and natural one. I am not a huge fan of mattes usually, but I am really into this. It is true that it still looks kind of luminous while a matte because you still see a natural skin-like glow to your complexion although it has been mattified.There isn’t a pump but why would there be in this type of container. It’s a squeeze tube but Square shaped which is essentially the same thing as a pump and sooo much better imo because you can get every bit out towards the end!!!If you’re on the fence, don’t be. I've been using foundation for more than 35 years, and I can honestly say that this is THE WORST foundation I've ever tried. Except for the natural signs of age, my skin has always been normal and beautiful. I don't have sensitive skin. I live in a humid sub-tropical climate, which helps keep my skin moist all year long. I have an advanced skincare regimen, I use an AHA exfoliant daily, and keep my 52-year-old skin heavily moisturized to help keep it as plump and as youthful looking as possible. This foundation ruined all that skin care with just one application!!! I applied one light layer using a combination of my fingers and a moist beauty sponge. It felt a little powdery, but I wasn't too concerned. I let that layer set for five minutes and came back to apply a second light layer. Everything still looked fine. Then, to my shock and horror, when I came back after 10 minutes to do the rest of my makeup, I looked in the mirror and saw a 100-year-old woman!!!! I'm not exaggerating. My face looked as though someone had applied special effects makeup to make me appear twice my age. This foundation not only accentuated the fine lines around my eyes and mouth. It created lines that aren't even there! In addition, it created severely dry patches on my face that I didn't have 10 minutes earlier. I quickly cleaned my face and slathered on moisturizer to counteract the dryness. It's now four days since that nightmarish experience. Even with a lot of TLC, my skin is not completely back to its normally hydrated, smooth state. This foundation might be great for young people with oily skin, but I don't recommend it for people over 40 even if you have normal skin such as I have.

I am a pale girl, PALE, and I love my pale skin I always thought it made me look beautiful. With that being said, this oxidizes like crazy for the shade ivory 010. It goes from pale to 2 to 3 shades darker orange. If you want a comparison in oxidation levels: think Wet n Wild Photo Focus foundation in shade Shell Ivory with a twinge bit more orange. If you have the time I would suggest going into the store, swatching multiple shades, then leaving them on for 15-20 minutes to get a better picture of the end result. Even though I love my pale skin I kind of wish I was just a tiny bit darker so I could ware this shade better because the finish is so natural and beautiful. The first day I tried this I got compliments on my skin faster than any other foundation I have tried (and I have tried A LOT). This oxidation can be combatted slightly though, if you use a setting powder with a white or bright cast, it can really help to create a balance. The coverage is great and I have acne scaring, acne, and other discoloration. Also, the foundation is great to wear without a silicon based primer as it smooths over pores and enhances rather than exaggerates them, and this means a lot coming from me as I inherited medium sebaceous filaments around my T-zone. While it may not cover my acnes discoloration entirely (without color correcting items), the foundation is a lot better than I was expecting when I kept reading "sheer", it really is as it states in the description -- medium-to-full. It works best with a brush for higher coverage, and everything else can easily be covered with a light hand of concealer!

I have been on a quest to find a replacement foundation for the one I had been using for several years. I am 57 with combination skin and large pores. The result of very oily and acneic skin for a great deal of my life starting at about 14 yrs old. I have always worked at keeping it clean and clear to the best of my ability with assistance from my dermatologists and over the counter items including creams, ointments and cosmetics.Now, my skin is clearer than ever, but I am left with large pores that I can never seem to smooth over no matter how much $$ I spend, or how many products I try, from concealers to primers to foundations and powders. I have never skimped spending on using the best skin care items or on makeup. I could not begin to tell you which products I have tried, but I would say I have probably tried most of them. I am a great fan of Nordstrom and the products they carry. I have tried a few a few brand name products from other stores, but really with not complete satisfaction. I have also probably tried most of the brands at Nordstrom as welI. I honestly, had not tried Dior foundation before because I didn't find a formula that matched what my needs were. When I saw that Dior had come out with this new foundation, and the Forever and Ever Makeup Base and the loose powder, I thought maybe, just maybe it might work!! I apologize for making this review so lengthy but I wanted to give the background of my search I guess something that didn't exist until this/these products! I made an appointment at Nordstrom, so I could have the correct color chosen for me and try it out. The manager at Nordstrom took her time, and she agreed that the products I was interested in were probably the ones best suited to the results I was looking for. She matched me with the light beige. Less than a week later after using the Forever, Perfect Makeup Foundation (so true), the Diorskin Forever & Ever Wear Base, and the Diorskin Forever & Ever Control Loose Powder, I am AMAZED AND SO HAPPY!! My skin looks smooth and soft, not dry and line accentuated, but soft and smooth and naturally matte. Very, very soft and so comfortable!! I used to reapply foundation a couple of times of day because it would not stay on my face. I hardly even apply the powder more than once or twice during the course of 12 hour work days (office). That has never happened to me ever in my life!!! The powder really sets it all so smoothly and so well. I would truly describe it as a setting powder!! These products are Magnificent and although not inexpensive, I'd pay double!! To me, my skin looks airbrushed and it covers my pores without being cakey or settling into them. I am reviewing all 3 of these products because I needed a foundation, a primer and a powder. My EXCELLENT results are from using all three. I would suggest you try all 3 to get the results I have gotten. Finally my foundation, primer, powder search is over. I am glad now that my previous foundation was discontinued, just sorry I had to wait so long to find this. But, I am so glad that I did!!!!BRAVO DIOR!! Thank you so much!!
