Stunning Palette for Neutral Lovers

I?ve been working with this palette for a few months now and absolutely adore. To preface, I?m a working makeup artist and enjoy buildable pigments where I can completely control depth and intensity and with this palette I can do just that. I find the shadows to be super blendable and long wearing. My favorite thing is that the shades are not only super flattering for most skin tones but also that they work beautifully as ?mix-ins.? For example, should my look lean a little too warm, the taupe shade cools down my look beautifully or should my look be too cool, the rust shade adds just the right amount of warmth. Black to intensify, silver to pop. Gold top-coat to add a subtle sparkle, and bronze to add a soft smokey effect. Highlight shade to brighten. Overall it?s a great addition to anyone?s collection especially a makeup artist. Less

Perfect for the Mauve eye fan

I was hesitant to get this Palette after reading some of the negative reviews but so glad I pulled the trigger & got it with my 20% Off Rouge coupon. That brought the price down to $39.My very favorite eye shadows are Mauve tones and I own a lot of them, but not ALL in one easy to pack Palette. I gravitate toward Cool tones with the addition of some strategic warm tones as needed. I don't understand all the hate in this palette. A lot of people complain there are no neutral Brown's included. TBH, I'm glad their isn't! I have a gazillion of those already. People also gripe about the shimmers not being in-your-face enough. Im 53 years old and these shimmers are pigmented enough for my needs. If you want to amp them up, just use a damp brush or a spray. These shimmers are more than enough for a daytime look and are very brightening to the lid without looking clownish. I have Hooded, crepey skin on my eyes and these shadows did not make that look worse, it even made that area look smoother and I didn't even use the Primer included. I didn't get any fallout with any of the Shades. This palette gives a girly, romantic Mauve eye look but you can also get more of a plum look or Night Time look with the addition of the dark plummy-brown shade in the crease or outer V area. Super happy with this palette. If you've been looking for a mostly matte Mauve palette with the addition of wearable shimmers to brighten the lid, this is your palette. You'll love it. Wait for a VIB or Holiday coupon and purchase then and the price won't be so painful. Less

Amber Neutrals... Anything But Boring!

Love love LOVE this palette. Colors go on so smoothly—silky texture and easy application. I love that you can really build the intensity; the colors are highly pigmented, but you can make a very subtle look, or a very dramatic one. And, everything “goes together,” so you can create a variety of looks with just one slim palette. I also love that the colors in the Amber Neutrals palette are so different from my standard brown/olive palette... they’re just different enough that I don’t feel like I’ve just duplicated another eye shadow palette. (Ok, it IS a little similar to some of the colors in my Too Faced Gingerbread palette, but I haven’t found that to be as blendable.) I definitely recommend trying this before you buy, to make sure the colors “go with” your coloring, but all in all... it’s great! Less

Not blendable and creased quickly.

I was very disappointed in this palette. It swatched well but it was hard to blend, not because it was not buildable, but because it stayed in one spot and became patchy. This was use with mattes. The primer didn’t do anything for me - even with this primer it creased easily. I tried with my own primer and shimmers creased again after only couple of hours. Tried different brushes, sizes, types, etc., still didn’t work. Don’t recommend it. Not worth the money or the hype.
