Who here has started a 10 step K-Beauty Regimen? Love it or hate it? Recommend your fave products, please. Like what even is Essence?

K-beauty is great. But the “10 step” idea is more likely harmful than helpful for your skin since you are likely to over expose you skin to harmful ingredients :/ I included a link to a video where Hyram helps explain it but I’ll sum up what he said too. When you would normally get X amount of a vitamin/ingredient in one product and that is fine but if you multiply it across several products...you see what I mean? Often the main irritant from that sort of process is fragrance. Which if you didn’t know, companies don’t have to tell you what ingredients make up the label “fragrance”. Having a routine is good but toners, essences, and face masks can all often address the same issues in one product. 10 steps is overkill. Save your money and stick with something that’s more like 4 to 6 things(?) my not an expert guess haha. Anyways! My favorite Korean brands are iUNIK and Purito. They have great skincare with some fragrance free options. Hope that helps! :)

Hi, I have THE smallest shortest blonde little lashes. I have volume but I NEED length. So bad. I’ve tried- better then sex, essence, Tarte, and benefit! My favorite ever is JULEP length matters. But they don’t sell it at ulta anymore. Any recommendations? If they’re under $15 that would be cool. 😆

I’ve been putting a very thin layer of this oil and letting it sink in before applying foundation and it’s really made a difference for me, and it’s only $7-$8 at Ulta.

Hey y’all I have sahara desert dry skin and fine lines and I’ve yet to find a really good medium to full coverage foundation I prefer it to be drugstore but can be high end if it’s really good. What’s your go to foundation? Also how do you prep for your foundation? #dryskin #discussion #foundation

You should start using @Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 before applying your foundation. Hyaluronic acid is actually naturally occurring in our bodies. Here’s a really good link I found that explains exactly what it is and why you should incorporate it into your skincare. Hope this helps!

It’s amazing. I highly recommend for people with oily skin and big pores. I have combination skin with big pores especially on my nose. It does an amazing job and applies my foundation beautifully on top.

What is essence used for? Does toner really help the skin barrier before moisturizer? I always thought it was just like a deeper clean after cleanser lol

an essence is used after your toner. a toner is a necessary step in your routine because it takes of any excess oils or dirt that your cleanser didn’t & trust me it works! especially around your hair line, ears, and neck. An essence is used after the toner because it’s what actually allows your pores to open & allows any skincare product you apply after to seep in your skin instead of sitting on top of it. in my skin care routine i like to go from thinnest to thickest cause it’s what works best for me . so it would be toner> essence> serum> eye cream> face cream> face oil. i know it’s a lot but trust me your skin will thank you!

Girl. This stuff is AMAZING for dry skin, I’m on accutane right now so my skin is HELLA dry and this not only doesn’t stick to my dry spots, it also gives you kind of a nice healthy glow without looking greasy. I’ve been using it with the e.l.f. Dewy Setting Spray, it’s bomb

What is the best concealers for dry under eyes? I’m 40 and everything I’ve tried looks like a desert under there. Or am I doing something wrong? Help 😫

I would try the makeup revolution conceal and hydrate concealer. Also, make sure you are adequately prepping the under eye for makeup. Moisturizer and/or eye cream, primer and/or eye primer. Also, don’t put your foundation on your under eye. Leave it bare and only put concealer there. That helps a lot because then you aren’t caking on double product in that area. Also, applying with a damp beauty sponge and setting with either a very small amount of powder or no powder at all (setting spray instead) can help. Less product is more when it comes to mature under eyes 👍🏻

I have really dry skin and the same problem with my face makeup, I’ve recently started adding one drop of this to my morning moisturizer and two drops to my evening face cream and it’s really been helping. Also, adding a thick night time face cream if you don’t have one would probably be beneficial too.

Hey I’m trying to go for the 10 step Korean sink care routine but need help finding som products for my skin. I have dry skin, sensitive skin but I have never had any major breakouts. I really want to achieve the “glass skin” look. I am looking for a: 1. Oil cleanser 2. Water base cleanser 3. Exfoliator 4. Toner 5. Essence 6. Serum 7. Face mask 8. Eye cream 9. Moisturizer 10. Sunscreen I would hope that everything would total up to around 125$ if that is possible. #advice

That’s a mood. Anyway, what I tend to do is use a really gentle cleanser like la roche posay toleriane. Then I would use a toner with hydrating properties, an acne treatment that is really gentle (I have a retinoid for this but I bet a good gentle one would be fine) then I use a moisturizer and I add an oil to it. Lately I’ve been adding almond oil. But Argan and jojoba oil are both good. I’m pretty sure you can buy jojoba oil at Walmart. But don’t quote me on that.

Sorry I’m responding to my own post bc retinoids are not gentle but they were prescribed by my doctor.

Other than sunscreen for my pasty butt? 😂😂 Probably Kopari’s coconut oil! I know it has a bad rep for being ~bougie over priced coconut oil~ but I still love it and it smells like heaven on earth and makes me feel like a butiful greased up baby seal

Hello beauties! I just started a new skincare routine and I’m wondering if I’m missing anything? I have combo to oily with skin with lines (around the eyes) just beginning to form and extremely large pores and texture. Morning 1) Miscellar water - Garnier (sometimes a cleanser after - Philosophy) 2) Toner - Fresh 3) Vitamin C - Tatcha 4) Under eye cream - Drunk Elephant (thinking I want to try Shiseido 5) Moisturizer - Drunk elephant polypeptide (currently mixing with DEs marula oil) Night 1) Cleanser - Philosohy 2) Toner - Fresh 3) under eye cream - Drunk Elephant 4) Usually glycerin but I’ve begun introducing retinol, not in the same night! I use one or the other - both Drunk Elephant 5) Moisturizer mixed with the marula oil - DE I’ve been seeing ‘essence’ and don’t really get it lol. Is it just for added hydration?

I began using hydrating water essence around my eyes (it doesn’t say you can’t) and I developed redness and a rash. I stopped for a month and tried a special eye repair gel every night and I’m getting the same redness and rash. I knew I had sensitive skin but I can’t tell if it’s some kind of allergy or it’s a reaction to the product. What products do you suggest to reduce the redness and rash, and eventually to put on as a night eye cream?
