I have tried MANY acne face washes including Murad, Dermalogica, CeraVe, Proactiv, and I’m currently using Proactiv MD. I’ve also tried getting acne facials and taking medication and putting many different topicals on my face given to me by my dermatologist. I’ve had really stubborn acne for 4 years, and it won’t go away! Is there a face wash that works for oily, acne prone skin?

This is honestly the best cleanser I have used! You need the SMALLEST drop, so it will last a while before you need to purchase again! It’s made my skin so clear and soft I’m obsessed!

Any suggestions on how to treat hormonal acne? I’ve tried many brands ranging from Dermalogica to Neutrogena, but nothing seems to be working. Not only that but I’ve also tried tea tree oil and I couldn’t see a major difference.

Hi, if you’re getting hormonal acne more than just around your period you may have a hormonal imbalance .skincare can only do so much . Acne is essentially inflammation from the inside and if it doesn’t have anywhere else to go guess what? It comes out of the skin. So if nothing topically is working you’re Prbly dealing with an internal issue such as a gut/digestion or imbalance . Good luck!

I want to try the Daily Microfoliant by Dermalogica, to get rid of my milia and blackheads but my skin is super sensitive. Has anyone with sensitive skin tried this? Does it irritate your skin and does it work? Thank you ❤️

I love this one. The nice part is you also don’t need much. Dermalogica is formulated for sensitive skin. When I started using dermalogica my face was full on acne. This is a great exfoliant to help the cell turnover. You need maybe a dime sized amount and a couple drops of water. Massage across your face until the texture is smooth.

Does anyone know how to deal with textured skin? 😩 I have combo skin (dry/flaky in some areas but overall gets greasy throughout the day) it’s super annoying to apply makeup because it always ends up looking kinda cakey/flaky even if I’m wearing minimal makeup (just concealer) pls help a sista out!! Currently I wash my face with dermalogica, apply pixi’s glow tonic after, and use a nuxe moisturizer. I’m p much a noob at skincare so pls shed some light with your own skincare routines! #combinationskin #seekingadvice #skincare #texturedskin

Try chemical exfoliation! (Sounds scary but it’s not!) It’s gentler on your skin than physical (face scrubs and brushes) This video is super helpful!

Thoughts on Dermalogica Cleanser? Specifically the Ultra Calming & Special Cleansing Gel? Note: I have combo skin (a lil oily forehead/ dry overall) Is it worth the money? If so, which one to buy??

yes!! totally worth every penny... for your skin concerns I’d recommend either one (I’ve tried both). Every product they have is a game changer, I’d say give it a few days and you’ll see a change in your skin!

I’ve noticed a lot of people asking for skincare product recommendations but saying they need to be cheap. I’m an esthetician and you get what you pay for. Drugstore skincare products are not going to give you the same results as more expensive products with better ingredients. There’s a reason they’re expensive. This is especially true with vitamin C products. I personally like Dermalogica and Bioelements. An exception to this rule is Pacifica facial cleansers. They are amazing. Hope this helps.

i agree!! i use arbonne and will never go back to my old products. using natural, chemical/paraben free products makes a world of a difference

@Taylor Edwards I’ve never tried Arbonne. I stick to products used in facials at spas usually. Being an esthetician though I’m snob about skin care products. My skin looks better than when I was 18.

I need a recommendation for a serum or treatment of some kind that reduces the appearance of pores. I use quite a few products on my skin but nothing has helped with my pores. I have normal skin. It’s not oily. No acne. I’m 37 but no wrinkles yet because I started young on skincare to fight wrinkles. Just large pores on my cheeks near my nose. Foundation really accentuates them. No drugstore brand recommendations please but I also can’t afford something that costs $75 or more. I’m looking for something in the middle with price range. I like brands Dr Brandt, Bioelements, Dermalogica, BareMinerals, Mario Badescu to name a few for skin care. I also like Korean products. Please help me! I’m desperate!

I would also recommend the niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. This one has probably helped the best for me. I would only use this one though if you don’t have super sensitive skin.

@Bailey Dolan YES! I love The Ordinary’s niacinamide serum! I have sensitive skin and slowly introduced this to my skincare regimen and so far I’m loving it!

Definitely have to try the Ordinary mask! One of my favorite products is the skin smoothing cream by Dermalogica. Perfect medium weight moisturizer

Just a reminder to those who use makeup wipes. Please stop using it and add cleansing balms and oils to your routine. Wipes can cause aging, inflammation, pigmentation and you’ll find countless articles on it. Here are some options: - Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm - Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm - Physicians Formula Matcha Cleansing Balm - Heimish Cleansing Balm - Banila Co Cleansing Balm - Dermalogica Cleansing Oil There’s plenty other options available and I hope this helps y’all :)
