LIFESAVER

I am so totally in love with this product. after reading many positive reviews I decided to shell out the extra money and invest in something that had clearly worked for many. the initial $27 spent on this product is well worth it because it lasts for a very long time, I have had my bottle for about 3 months now and it feels very full & as if I had barely made a dent in it. I use a dime-sized amount on dry skin morning and night (at least I try to keep consistant) & rub it into my face in a massage-like manner. after the first wash your face feels incredibly soft, though I believe my face did a little bit of purging the first 2 days but it was over by the end of the week with the help of this product. Ain't Misbehavin has seriously improved the look of my face, I am having little to no new breakouts (except the occasional hormonal breakout), my face is softer and more hydrated, & it is working to diminish my deep/embarassing acne scars. I have never felt more confident in my face. since it is reducing the acne/reddness on my face I am using less makeup to cover the imperfections I would typically spend a substantial amount of time on in the mornings, thus more sleep/time getting ready saved; as a university student, I really appreciate this. I wish I had known about this product earlier when my acne hadn't been so bad, but I am a believer now & contemplating buying the accompanying Ain't Misbehavin mask. this cleanser has been the best gift I had bought for my skin. Less

reduces scarring

Some of the reviews seem to be complaining about the consistency of the product (oily) and that it isn't reducing breakouts. Unfortunately, adult acne is largely hormonal and cannot be controlled simply by cleansers or other topical products. Anyone with this problem should really see a dermatologist. Mine recommended I use this cleanser along with a prescription pill to control the hormones causing my breakouts. What this product does do is reduce the healing time for acne and reduce scarring (15% glycolic acid). My skin is very smooth using this product and even old scars are fading. As to the non-sudsing effect, lather is mostly due to artificial sulfates and is not an indicator of how clean your skin is getting. This product works like a cold cream or shu uemura's oil cleansers (which are fabulous for removing makeup and soothing skin). You apply it to dry skin, then rinse off in water. I've been using acid products for a few years now, so I leave the cleanser on for a few minutes, like a mask, and then rinse off. My skin is clean and not dry, even in extremely humid weather. Less

Amazing!!!

I have been fighting with my skin since I was 12 years old and this is the first cleanser I have ever found that actually works for me. I am now 26 with combination skin, large pores, blackheads, and hormonal cystic acne. I have been using this stuff (along with the acne control serum) for about 2 months now and I have not had a single cystic bump come up. Absolutely amazing! I have tried prescription antibiotics, frequent trips to the dermatologist, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, Retin-A, and any over-the-counter product you could name over the years and have never found anything this effective. I am hooked!!! Also FYI, I bought this on a whim when I was in the store and the brand representative was there - she was telling me that one of the best ingredients in these products is the tea tree oil which is amazing for the inflammation associated with cystic acne. She said that these products were formulated specifically with hormonal women in mind and that all the ingredients fight the hormonal imbalances that we tend to have. Less

A very heavy product for problem skin

I have very sensitive skin and I get breakouts on a regular basis. This product did not rinse away easy and left a greasy film on my face. After using the wash, my face would burn and feel irritated. It did not improve the breakouts and left my face red which never happens. I did follow the instructions on the bottle which says to use on dry skin. I definitely disliked this idea, I felt as if I had to rub the product into my skin harder to get my face clean. This was annoying. Unfortunately I don't have anything positive to say about the product, it was a complete waste of money.

Completely transformed.

There's always that one comment that says, "I bought this thinking I'd return it but it ended up being perfect," but honestly, that is the case with me. I've tried Proactiv, every grocery store brand, scrubs, masks, different makeups, even birth control pills to control my acne (clusters of painful ones around my chin, some on cheeks, oily t-zone, redness galore). I went into Ulta looking to buy the Mario Badescu glycolic acid face wash after reading what glycolic acid does to your skin, and I was super disappointed when they didn't have it in stock so the Ulta sales woman recommended this to me. I looked it up on my phone really quickly to see the reviews since it was a lot more expensive than what I was looking to spend, and I ended up buying it and keeping the box and receipt for almost a month thinking I'd probably return it.For the first 3 weeks (maybe even month) my skin was actually worse. I was getting constant zits in random places that I normally don't get them, but I stuck it out because I've always read that it takes about a month for face washes to work. After a rough period, my skin hasn't looked better. My acne scars are fading (partial thanks to the Clarisonic I got for Christmas) and I haven't really had any zits at all. My skin is smooth, pores are small, and even when a small zit starts to show up it goes away MUCH quicker than it used to. This stuff gets rid of pimples, prevents new ones, and when new ones do come it makes them go away extremely fast. On top of that, it gets rid of old acne scars. I've been using it in the morning and the Clarisonic at night, but if I do use it at night I make sure I use a makeup remover pad first, let my skin dry, then apply and leave on for 2-3 minutes and rinse off, then follow with moisturizer. That's all it takes. It doesn't foam at all, but you can feel it working when you first start using it- it feels drying and may sting if you have a sensitive zit somewhere. But despite how different it may be from the beloved foaming face washes, I can honestly say that I think part of the reason it works so well is because it's more a treatment lotion than a "wash." All in all, this plus the Clarisonic I added to my collection is the dream team when it comes to perfect skin. Some things to consider: you put it on DRY skin and leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse off. I was told that the glycolic acid in it becomes inactive when wet, so make sure your hands and face are dry and makeup-free before applying. Also, it seems expensive but you only need to use a tiny amount to cover your face. I can see this stuff lasting me 6+ months because all I use is a tad more than a pea-sized amount and it's the perfect amount to cover my face. Third, I was worried about it being drying, but it's not at all. My skin isn't too sensitive but it's not necessarily non-sensitive either, and I have had zero problems with dry skin while using this. I've had dryer skin when using things like Neutrogena than I have with this stuff- so even though it may feel drying when you first start using it, it really does balance your skin out and won't make you have ugly dry patches that are impossible to cover up. Less
