color accuracy

doesn't oxidize

i use it to set my makeup and it's honestly the best i tried a different brand and it oxidized my concealer this one is amazing i got it as a sample and i've never looked back

- Ulta User

it's translucent so it doesn't change the color of the foundation, leaving me with a flawless look

- Ulta User

blendability

blends well

this is a wonderful powder, and i'm glad i found this product and the dermablend line

- Ulta User

i have used dermablend for many, many years

- Ebay User

staying power

longlasting

this needs to be the very last step in your beauity routine - your blush, concealer, and contouring will last all day long - i am so amazed by this product

- Ulta User

i use it over my foundation and it helps it stay on great and no makeup rubs off on my phone finally

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

best pore coverage available

- Ulta User

it even minimizes my large pores

- Ulta User

weight

lightweight

lasts all day at work with a matte finish, my skin gets very oily but with this product i have been able to stay shine free way longer without my skin feeling cakey

- Ulta User

it goes on lightly, does not feel heavy and it lasts for hours and hours

- Ulta User

under eye

good for under eye

this is by far one of the best setting powder especially for the under eye

- Ulta User

it is full coverage and looks nice applied with a brush but i use a dampen beauty blender for my undereye & it's flawless

- Ulta User

texture

smooth

it literally feels like velvet and it makes my skin look so smooth & it makes your skin really matte

- Ulta User

i shake a tiny bit onto the lid, squirl my flat top kabuki brush, and smooth the powder over my skin, and the application is seamless, weightless and totally invisible (and i have medium/tan complexion - think nc42-43)

I've Tried Them All...Pretty Much!

I love the Cover FX setting powder and still do but this one.... just takes the cake! It mattifies my make up but not to the point where it looks dry. I like a hint of a glow so I use a hydrating foundation but since I'm oily, sometimes my foundation doesn't stay put when I'm working 8+ hours and/or running errands. I use this powder to set my foundation and it stays just perfect!! I also use it to set my concealer and since I do have fine lines under my eyes, it's difficult to find something that doesn't settle or accentuate those but this has worked the best! Under my eyes doesn't look dry or wrinkled! Oh and I have a medium to tan, olive tone, and this doesn't change the color of my foundation or flashback! I purchased and will purchase over and over again!

Complete coverage!

I need heavy coverage and have struggled using other "drugstore" brands of pancake makeup for years to really even out my skin and cover where I need to very heavily without having to use other tricks to look like I'm not wearing as much as I am. Dermablend is much more expensive than what I was used to spending, but it takes so little of it to do what I need it to that I save money in the long run. Longlasting wear is amazing as long as it is used with the Dermablend powder as well. It doesn't set right with other powders that I have used and I end up having to repowder throughout the day using them. I couldn't be happier with this makeup and constantly recommend it to anyone who struggles with heavy coverage needs!

It makes the concealer last all day!

I love this product. I have oily / combination skin, and any makeup I apply tends to slide off, especially in the summer. To combat this, I use Smashbox Primer Light underneath the Dermablend makeup line.I use this Setting Powder with Dermablend's Quick Fix Concealer in Light. This powder DEFINITELY sets my makeup all day, and into the night. I still have to use blotting papers throughout the day to control shine, but the concealer stays put with the powder. It even minimizes my large pores. My skin tends to get a little oily after work, so if I'm going out at night, I will apply the powder again. This stuff is AMAZING. It not only lasts all day, but it won't rub off if you are changing clothes. It doesn't change the color of your makeup, and will NOT give you a rosy demarcation on your jawline. It is transparent. If you apply too much with the powder puff provided, just keep blending until the white powder disappears. It will eventually blend into your skin, making it look flawless. It also does not clog pores - an added plus for those who are prone to breakouts!Lately, I admit that I have been committing the cardinal sin of falling asleep with my makeup on. Yet, my makeup still looks fresh as it did the day before! I have been tempted to use a blotting paper and go to work (because my makeup is still perfect!), but I end up washing it all off and apply a fresh application for the day.Even though I use Urban Decay's Eye Potion primer, my eye makeup still runs because of my oily skin. To prevent my eye liner from running, I apply a little bit of this Dermablend powder under my eye. This will prevent it from running all day, and if you accidentally fall asleep, your eye makeup will look perfect the next day too! Not that I am advocating sleeping with your makeup on ;)I used to use Prescriptives' Flawless Skin Makeup, and was very saddened when it was discontinued. I am Asian with yellow undertones, and in the U.S., it is very difficult to find makeup that is opaque (yet natural-looking) to cover my hyperpigmentation. After doing a lot of research, I tried Dermablend's line, and am hooked. It matches my skin really well, and it doesn't look like I'm wearing a mask. This is a wonderful powder, and I'm glad I found this product and the Dermablend line. « less

Dermablend loose powder

I use this product after I do my makeupFirst I put on my pore minimizer then my dermablend full coverage cream then get my face imperfections with dermablend stick concealer then I top it off with the dermablend compact powder. When I'm done I dap the loose setting powder in my face leave it on for 2+ minutes then lightly brusher off the excess. It very easy to apply but just doesn't make a difference if I had it on or not. My make up still fades after 10+ hours with other without the setting powder

AMAZING POWDER!

This is seriously the best setting powder I have EVER used. At first I thought I wouldn't like it because when first applied it felt and looked very matte however as the day went on it melted into my skin but never looked oily. It really does keep you shine free without looking too dry. A very nice natural finish! I have combo-oily skin so no matter what foundation I use, it usually breaks down the foundation but this powder kept my makeup on all day. The biggest issue I have is foundation settling in the crease of my chin and on the sides of my mouth...this kept every foundation from settling, no matter the formula! Also, less is more with this powder. Doesn't have any flashback in any photos either if used with a light hand. When used with the Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo foundation, it's absolute perfection, « less

What kind of primer are you looking for? Hydrating, color correcting, and long lasting are how I would probably categorize the main ones. Idk if I’m the best to recommend setting powders because I’ve never really been unhappy with one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also I have quite dry skin so I don’t have to worry about my face getting oily. But for cheap options I like LA Girl’s loose HD setting powder and Eglips blur powder pact. For higher end I would choose Dermablend compact setting powder. Just touching it is crazy because it’s a pressed powder but it’s so so finely milled it feels so smooth it almost tricks you into thinking it’s wet!
