High end cleanser for oily/sensitive/acne prone skin? Please help me! I’m having a really hard time finding a cleanser that won’t dry me out. Things that break me out: - Vitamin C - Vitamin E - Salicylic Acid - Glycolic Acid

Try mandelic acid. Its for oily/acne prone/sensitive skin. And if you’re worried about dry outs, always remember to add moisturizer after cleansing. Even with the most gentlest cleansers water evaporates and leaves the skin dry; this will make the skin go “oof its dry. time to overcompensate “ and this leads to super oily skin and more breakouts. I get one pic at a time so I’ll spam some products

This kit i love. Super gentle. My sister bought me this for my birthday. And its great. The “oil to foam” makes my skin baby soft and cuts through makeup like nothing. If you’re worried about too much hydration, follow with an acid wash that doesnt exfoliate. Or rise once. Then wet a face towel to really get it off.

Trader Joe’s has a vitamin e oil you can buy for cheap that is all natural. And you can find great vitamin c serums at tjmaxx if you’re on a budget! Vitamin c serum is the most concentrated and best way to even your skin tone!

Niacinamide is a good ingredient to look for to deal with hyperpigmentation in acne scars.

Hey guys. I’m 23 and looking for a good night routine to reduce pores and brighten my skin. I was thinking about starting with a vitamin E and C serum and maybe some sort of a cream, as well. I have normal/combination skin and don’t want anything too hydrating that will make my skin oily overnight. I am hoping for a 2-3 products max routine so it’s not too time consuming. Please help!! :)

The size of your pores will never permanently reduce in size! Sadly :( Your skin type will never change as this is all genetic! I would say to keep them smaller and cleaned out exfoliate at least 3 times a week! Toners, creams and cleansers cannot close your pores! Cleaning all the impurities, sebum and dead skin from the pore will minimize the affect! I would recommend a hydrafacial for that!

Face Moisturizer Recommendations? I started a new prescription acne treatment and my usually oily/combo skin is now very dry. The Vitamin E/Jojoba Oil blend I usually use just isn’t cutting it by itself anymore. Any recommendations? Preferably something more on the affordable side.

I’ve got dry sensitive skin and these are my holy grails. The “yes to” bottle is a spray moisturizer and I personally love it. You can get it at Ulta for 12.99. This is a drugstore brand, the brand is available at my local Walgreens, but this product isn’t there yet. It’s still super affordable though. The big “Thayers” bottle is the toner I use with it that I thought I’d let you know about. It works wonders and also has some moisturizing properties. Again super affordable, only 10.95 at Ulta. Both of these are natural brands so they’re great for sensitive skin.

I am having breakouts on the areas the left and right of my lips. They will pop but then pool with oil. They heal but then come back shortly after. Furthermore, I continue the have smaller breakouts on my forehead. I have tried vitamin e oil, niacinamide oil (by naturium), Averr aglow skincare, etc. I have used clear and clear acne spot treatment for years and Vichy Normaderm Salicyclic Acid Cleanser. Now, nothing seems to be working on my sensitive skin. I feel like I need a good skincare routine with gentle but affective products. Advice?

I recommend seeing a dermatologist. It can be difficult to find the right products without truly understanding what is happening with your skin. In the meantime, try keeping it simple. A cleanser like cera ve for oily skin and a lightweight moisturizer (cera ve has this too) will help get your skin to a clean baseline for your doc to evaluate.

@Anna Gronholm great! Totally understand the desire to get away from meds. I would recommend the simplify strategy still. It may take a while to find the balance between overseeing and causing oil ridic toon and over moisturizing. Id also consider writing down when you get breakouts one a calendar. Identifying other triggers/hormone cycles can be really helpful! Hope that helps

@Courtney Hutchins Thank you! I have gone to the dermatologist for years. Solodyn worked amazing for me, but I couldn’t stay on it forever. Recently, we tried antibiotics, which again I can’t stay on forever. They also tried Veltin, but it was too harsh to use. I just want to try to find a way out of medication.

Do derma-rollers really work? I heard it’s good for textured skin I’m trying to get rid of my textured skin😩 and what are some good chemical exfoliators?

I wouldn’t do this at home. It’s very easy to press too hard on the skin and cause more injury. However, going to a esthetician to get it done is very beneficial!! As for chemical exfoliators, I really like The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner. (Not for sensitive skin) glycolic acid is amazing at brightening and reducing texture. Andalou naturals has a really good pumpkin glycolic mask too!

Use it as a serum after you cleanse and tone! Try adding a couple drops onto your hands and pat it into the skin then follow up with moisturizer!

I recommend using a microneedling roller, and a jade face massager. After washing your face go over it with the microneedling roller, then apply a small amount of oil before going over that with the massager. (Make sure you aren’t applying too much oil!) These two products together help serums really get into the skin. Plus microneedling has quite a few other benefits as well. I got mine at Ulta for around $10. Some Walmarts have them for cheaper. Same with my massager.
