Good coverage - very drying/cakey

I read a lot of mixed reviews, but was still excited to give this a try. I'm only 26, so no wrinkles or fine lines, really. Wanted something to cover my dark under-eye circles and this seemed promising! Disappointed to say that the reviews talking about it sinking into fine lines are accurate. Even when I moisturize first and then set with a powder, it shows fine lines that I never even knew I HAD under my eyes. I don't have overly dry skin, but it still ends up looking very cakey. I've tried with/without powder, with/without moisturizing just before using it, using different amounts, blending with my finger/brush/sponge... I still gave it two stars because it does cover quite well and blends pretty easily, but it's just not the product for me. :(

Overall, I really do think that this is a really great option for drugstore concealer. I think that there is going to be a fair bit of subjectivity when it comes to these high coverage drugstore concealers because I think what you like under your eyes can be really personal, but I do think that this has a texture and finish that will work for a lot of people. The packaging well lets just say I don't want to re-dip my concealer. I want to pull it out, slap it on, and blend it out and I find these huge applicators are great for that - even if I'm highlighting or concealing more than just under my eyes, which is generally the only place I personally use concealer. This applicator is actually really nice. It holds a solid amount of product but doesn't get gooped up, it's soft and it applies really well. I also continue to enjoy CoverGirl's more modern revamp of their packaging, I feel like it has really brought life back to the brand.Another thing I wanted to note in regards to packaging is actually the amount of product that you get with this concealer. As I've been (sort of obsessively) trying out and reviewing this new wave of high coverage drugstore concealers, I've really noticed a lot of variance in the actual amount of product you get. Unlike foundations, which are almost always 30ml, there's no real standard size for concealer. I'm happy to note with this one that it's at the top of the spectrum coming it at 10ml of product. This is definitely something to note with these products because they can seem like a really great price in the drugstore, but the actual cost per ounce can be really, really high. Now back to the concealer...One thing that I just don't have time or patience for when it comes to concealer is a heavy texture that cakes up under the eyes. I'm in my mid 30s, so heavy concealers tend to really settle into my lines and age me. When it comes to high coverage concealers, texture has always been really hit or miss for me, but this one has definitely been a hit. Because it is so pigmented, I really don't find that I need much, so I tend to apply two dots of product underneath each eye and then blend with a damp blending sponge or a small brush and I find that I get really good coverage without adding weight or cakiness. As I said, the coverage is really solid in this product and I'm also really impressed with the wear. Now, no concealer makes the lines under my eyes go away, so there is a little bit of settling into the fine lines under my eyes, but I haven't noticed it breaking up or creasing any of the times I've worn it. After probably about 8 hours of wear, I do think that there is some fading for sure, but it does still maintain coverage and I don't notice anything getting weird texture wise. I also feel like this maintains a little bit more hydration under my eyes than some other formulas that I've tried, which keeps things looking fresh but does mean I have to be sure to set with powder. So in regards to this product I would say that this is definitely a product that I would recommend!TruBlend Undercover Concealer Less

I absolutely LOVE this concealer. It took me several months to find this in stores after it was released online. The most difficult thing about this it that it comes in soooo many shades. Covergirl doesn't give a description of undertones and it's difficult to tell the shades apart in the tubes. Many look almost identical! I had to buy several that looked close to really tell which shades would work for me but at this price I wasn't really mad. As for the formula, I'm really happy. It's full coverage and feels very light. This is the first Covergirl product other than their Lashblast mascara (which is my holygrail mascara) that I've loved in years. It applies very nicely and blends well. It's a drier formula but doesn't set too quickly giving ample time to blend. I like to set mine to prevent creasing but you could also leave as is if you don't have oily skin. For me, ALL Covergirl products tend to darken when they dry but this doesn't. My shade stays true to the color in the tube and I'm very happy. This is is a phenomenal product and deserves so much hype.

My current favorite concealer!

I bought this after a beaming recommendation, and I was really impressed by it! It has wonderful coverage, just enough to brighten and even out the under-eye, and can be used to spot conceal or highlight other parts of your face as well. It works with my oily combination skin just right, and the finish is a really smooth matte that is not dry looking, more like a skin-like matte. Every concealer I've ever tried has creased on me, but this one creases the least!!! The creases can be tapped out, but honestly I don't mind leaving it as is because it's not very noticeable. It's also very long-wearing! This formula is something special, and I would definitely buy this again! And what makes this concealer even better is that Covergirl is cruelty-free now c:

I‘ve never really liked wearing foundation because it feels heavy and makes me feel like I’m going to break out. Are there any lightweight concealers to hide my blemishes? Or any face powder you guys recommend to wear by itself??

So I have very dark circles under my eyes, but I also have pretty deep creases there as well. Whenever I buy a concealer thick enough to cover my dark circles, it creases. But then when I buy a lighter formula it doesn’t cover my dark circles at all. What are your under eye concealer recommendations?

Try patting it in and then immediately going in with powder. I really like the Huda beauty concealer to cover eye bags and it’s not too heavy so it’s worth trying! I also really like this one!
