coverfx products

I was introduced to Coverfx products approximately 10 years ago. This product was made by specialists in the trade of helping people with scars; bad blemish issues such as tatoos acne etc... I have personally, been using all of these products for my own scar and blemish issues. The idea is that your able to apply the pre make up conditioning oil prior to applying the foundation. The conditioning oil makes my skin nice and soft. Often I will simply use this only when I dont feel like applying the makeup. However when I do choose to wear makeup I first apply the conditioning mineral oil to my face. It helps when you put the make up on afterwards. When you then apply the foundation you use the mineral powder very lightly over the foundation. Obviously a person with scars or serious blemish issues can then layer the foundation and any blended cover stick such as lavender or yellow to hide dark circles or redness on the face. It is because you are able to apply and layer these products that gives you a natural more youthful look without worrying about having to reapply and it is water resistant so go ahead and jump in a lake and be worry free of your makeup coming off your face. This product use to be available at Shoppers or other drugstores. But then Sephora bought the rights to these fantastic Coverfx products and I think it was a very smart move on their part. Coverfx is now and always will be the one and only product I will ever use. I would love to be able to purchase a coulple of items that I presently am in need of so I will go and do so right now. But first I give both Sephora and coverfx products a 5 star or 100% rating. Absolutely ingenius. I will be checking out the other Sephora products Im certain thy have many exclusive and eligant products for healthy face and body and the very best of the best products that are both helpful and look fantastic to the person who is using products from this wonderful company. Thank You Sephora. Sincerely your customer Mongoose1623

Great powder

This powder reminds me of laura mercier, but better. It sets your face without interfering with your application/blending of your contour, bronzers, blush, etc. I feel like when you find a good translucent/setting powder, its only good for eyes or face, not both. For instance, Laura mercier is good for face, but too have for under the eyes. RCMA no color powder is great for under the eyes, but leaves a white cast if used all over the face. This powder is perfection for both under the eyes and all over the face. I have noticed if I blend my foundation down my neck and set it with this powder, I don't get product transfer onto high-neckline clothing. If I am wearing a hat, as long as I don't put bronzer on top of this powder on my upper forehead, it doesn't get makeup marks on the inside of my hat either. This powder lasts all day and foundations that I used to think just "broke up" or "wore off" in certain areas throughout the day, actually look flawless 6+ hours later without touch ups. So clearly it wasn't my foundations fault, it was previous powders I have used. It's hard to explain, this powder is mattifying because it keeps my oil at bay, but it doesn't look flat-matte. I look healthy and it doesn't cake up or accentuate dry patches, fine lines, large pores, hair on the face. Great powder, worth a try! « less

PERFECT SKIN ON THE GO!

I have combination skin and most setting powders make my skin look super dry, chalky and old-looking. I love the idea of a non drying and TALC-FREE setting powder, because who doesn’t want to look flawless and shine-free all day and all night long, without clogging our pores? We all want to look perfect, even in pictures, so you could say that Cover FX had everything figured out, because this product is also flashback-free!The formula and texture are amazing, feels soft and lightweight even when baking (it is PERFECT for baking). If used properly it’ll give you that satiny, airbrushed healthy look and feel that most Pro MUA’s are looking for lately. My preference is to set and smooth out the skin after foundation (only when needed) to achieve a long lasting “I just did my makeup” effect. You should keep in mind that unlike most of the setting powders in the market, this one has no talc in it, so if you use too much it WILL show.So... let’s count the blessings:- Talc-Free- Weightless look and feel- Vegan- Flashback-free- Perfect for all skin types- Doesn’t dry skin- No ashy nor muted appearance on darker skin-tones- Helps to prevent oiliness- Easy to use- Blends like magic- Great quality- The jar is huge and contains a lot of product for an incredible priceThey couldn’t give this product a better and more accurate name, because it is truly perfect and gets the job done every time with less than half the amount of product used when compared to other brands setting powders. It's the most natural looking powder I've ever used and everyone should give it a try.[ I’ve received this product complimentary for testing and sampling purposes, but all opiniones are my own. This is my honest review and I’m in love with the Perfect Setting Powder] « less

It's White...

Tf @ this whiteness. Great for setting white face paint. It leaves a white cast, which really isn't the look I'm going for. I was expecting a brightening effect, but topping white powder over it isn't exactly brightening. At least add a bit of a peach undertone or something to make the color look more natural. I bought it to set my undereye but find that it just adds a white cast over my dark circles turning them grey. Really unattractive. I expected a lot more from this brand. This setting powder might work to set your undereye if you don't have much discoloration in that area.

Can someone recommend me a good translucent (loose) powder. I’m currently using a Ben Nye dupe and it works well but it makes my foundation just a little darker than its original shade (almost orange honestly). So what are your favorites or what do y’all recommend?!?

The mini size is $15 and still a good amount to try it out for a while !

What are some good face powders to set makeup for oily skin? Preferably something good for medium/dark skin tones.

This is a beautiful powder. That hides many imperfections and lasts for a very long time. You can pair it with the setting spray as well for best results.

I don’t wear makeup a lot and I’m trying to get in to it more. How do I choose the right powder for my skin like a setting powder. I don’t want white Incase of pictures so do I pick something lighter than my skin shade or the same shade? :) ALSO, I’m very sensitive to breakouts so if there’s something out there for sensitive skin please help ❤️

Cover FX and Laura Mercier has great setting powders with no flashback. Translucent powders are universal and a good shade to start off with if you’re just getting into make up. I go from medium to tan throughout the year and the Laura mercier and cover FX translucent setting powders has never failed me!
