Any suggestions for setting powders? I currently use the airspun loose face powder in shade translucent and it gives me an ashy look. When I use it on my mother who is of darker complexion it works perfectly 😭 I get creases under my eyes as well.

The maybelline fit me powder is awesome. I use it for baking my under eye and crease lines.

I really want to try the Coty airspun setting powder, but I do I apply it? I’ve never used setting powder before.

How i do it is to press it into your skin with a beauty blender where you applied your concealer.

@Jasmine Perez I do that too and additionally I will dust a light layer over the rest of my face with a fluffy powder brush

Can anyone recommend a good powder for dry fair skin, preferably under $20 or so please? I’ve tried Coty Airspun and Maybelline Fit Me and neither work for me at all, and I’m currently using this Too Faced powder and I like it ok but I would much rather find a cheaper option if possible.

you can try the mini one at Sephora for $20. I’ve had the bigger one for months and it’s lasted me a long time. It’s a sheer finish, I also struggle with dry skin ( kp) and it works very well.

I've been using Tarte shape tape and Coty airspun powder for years (no foundation) . I've recently noticed that even with primers, baking and setting spray I get splotchiness and creasing. I also sweat off my makeup very easily! Could it be the powder? I've been curious about switching to Laura Mercier but the price on airspun is fantastic. Any advice?

I recommend a really good primer- the milk hydro grip is really good at making your foundation last. Then use the Laura Mercier powder, this should help good luck!

Does anyone know a full coverage foundation that is great for oily skin? Or a powder that can help too (I use coty airspun & mabyline fit me loose setting powder) but still manage to get super oily in like 3 hours🤦‍♀️(I use juvias place foundation btw)

This is the best drugstore foundation! Matte + lasts so long + full coverage. Also a powder I love is the Covergirl Loose Professional one!

Setting powder for dry & sensitive skin? My skin is dry and very sensitive. I've used the TooFaced ethereal setting powder, and Coty Airspun, but I feel like they really show the dry spots. Any recommendations? Is something like Becca hydra-mist worth it?

I have combo skin that gets oily throughout the day. I currently use L’oréal Freshwear foundation and set with Coty Airspun. I just feel that the coty isn’t setting my makeup as well as I’d like it to. What other setting powders are good? I’m very pale so I usually go for translucent but it can’t have flashback. I also don’t want anything high end/expensive and nothing that will make me look like a cake face lol (any setting sprays will also be helpful) TIA❤️

Airspun isn’t my fav either and as much hype as it gets, it’s not THAT good :/ my favorite drugstore setting powder is this one! And I’ve used it with the same foundation which I LOVE and it works really well

I’m looking for a good affordable setting powder. I’ve tried the Coty Airspun, and unfortunately the fragrance is more than I can handle. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Looking for a foundation that will stay all day, give medium coverage (i just have some red spots from previous acne when I was younger) and NOT look like I have a ton of makeup. I’m looking for my skin but better. I have combo skin and get oily around my nose and forehead. I currently use the L’oréal Freshwear but it gets oily around my nose and even with a light hand of my powder (Coty airspun) it looks so heavy. TIA!!

Same issues and I’ve found that IT cosmetics CC cream has been the best for my scars and pores. It lasts all day even without a primer. Needs a light matte powder over it if anything.

What are some good affordable setting powders that won’t cause acne? Preferably good for drier skin. I tried Cory Airspun and it broke me out. :(

Does anyone know a good priced powder that won’t give me a horrific flashback? I use city airspun but recently it’s been too cakey and it flashbacks horribly on my skin with my foundation.

So, I’m a pale skinned gal. I’ve been using Coty Airspun Translucent Extra Coverage powder for about 2-3 years. I’ve noticed how it sorta turns my skin peachy almost orange, but causes MAJOR flashback. Does anyone recommend any setting powders that 1. Don’t cause me to become ghostlike with or without flash photography and 2. Don’t turn me orange?

I haven’t tried this personally but it’s on my “to try” list! Some reviews I’ve looked at say it’s pale girl friendly and no flashback. You get a lot of powder too for your money!

apply a loose powder around with a damp beauty blender, it sets into the skin, instead of just sitting on top i recommend the @Fit Me! Loose Finishing Powder

Any recommendations on how to set my concealer and/or what to use to set it? I have been using airspun to set it but it ends up just caking on top of my concealer and it doesn’t look good 🙄 I could just be doing it wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️ lol

love this, leaves no flashback and keeps my makeup on all day without looking cakey •if you are using a foundation try doing concealer first, then foundation. works for me. •use a wet beauty blender to blend your product •use a big fluffy brush to tap the powder on your face and wait about 5 mins to wipe off the powder, in a circular motion hope this helps!!!

I've never really used a foundation (just a concealer on my t zone and under my eyes). I've got super clear skin and an even skin tone so I've never seen the point. I recently asked what I could to to help creasing and rubbing/sweating off or splotchiness (nyx pore primer, Tarte shape tape, airspun powder, urban decay setting spray.) Someone suggested I start using foundation, would this actually help if so what is your HG for combination skin that won't sweat off?

hi! so I think if you have good skin you should avoid foundation. But if you would like to use it, I would recommend a BB cream or CC cream instead. These have better ingredients than foundations but are not that high in coverage that being said, if you have good skin you won’t need crazy full coverage. I use the maybelline dream BB cream everyday and I love it! Not to pricey either.
