What setting spray is a must-have?? I’m struggling with finding the right setting spray. I’ve tried MAC, Elf, Maybelline, Colourpop, and Wet n Wild and I don’t like anyyyy of them. Helppp

Nyx-matte finish setting spray they have , matte and dewy as well both by nyx. you can get them at Walgreens or online on Amazon for cheaper and in a bigger bottle just a little tip hee hee😉☺️✨ I’ve only tried the matte setting spray I have not tried the dewy kind but I’m sure it works just as well the matte one does. It’s amazing my make up stays in place all day love love love this product!!!!

Are the colourpop palettes worth it? Especially the peach and coconut ones?

Colorpop’s shadows are quite nice for the price. Mattes blend pretty easily and their pigment is nice, and shimmers are decent. Though like others I’d recommend their Super Shock singles if you want those really intense shimmer or metallic finishes. Also, in terms of swatches as mentioned above, I’ve personally found that a finger swatch doesn’t really show you much in terms of actual performance when applied to the eye. So take those statements with a grain of salt.

I love the Colourpop hyaluronic tinted moisturizer for everyday use, like work. But I don’t wear this when going anywhere else because its too light coverage for me. But for errands it perfect

What are your thoughts on Colourpop makeup products? Specifically the foundation stick - is it worth the $10 + shipping? Or should I stick with a cheaper drugstore alternative? I’m also interested in the concealer. Your input is appreciated! :)

I really enjoyed using the foundation sticks for contouring and it blends very well. Their concealer is amazing it’s pretty full coverage and a little goes a long way. It’s definitely worth it.

I have the Colourpop Sweet Talk pallet and i was wondering if the colors came out weird for anyone? When they’re on my lid they become orange-ish and lose pigment. Is this just me? If so does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Do you use an eye primer? If you don’t, that could be why it loses pigment. If you do, it could be the way the shadow and the primer react together. It’s more likely though that the color in the pan just may not translate onto the lid well. I find this happens with peachy shadows a lot. There’s not a lot that you can do if this is the case. But check your eye primer first.

@alieyana I use ulta shimmer eye primer. I don’t have the exact name since my label has run off but it’s only a few bucks and makes my eyeshadow STICK so good

Texture troubles! 😬 Hi everyone- I’ve having some issues with my face makeup looking cakey/textured when I’m in natural lighting- it looks fine when I’m in front of the mirror. I was excited to try the Elf luminous primer today thinking it would help smooth things over (and look glowy). But I’m not sure it really helped. I had not been using a primer before this since the Colourpop tinted moisturizer is water based more or less and I couldn’t find a water based smoothing primer. The texture was present when I wasn’t using a primer- it looked better when I used my hands to apply but I have been using a sponge more since I was worried using my hands would potentially cause acne. Should I try: Chemical exfoliation? (Any AHAs?) A different primer? (Maybe the OG poreless putty?) A different foundation? (I was hoping to make this tinted moisturizer work since I like lightweight, natural, and affordable products ) Maybe this is just how makeup up looks in natural light 🤣 Am I asking too much? Let me know your tips for looking flawless! 💖 I appreciate it! #drugstore #texture

I have problems with texture too. I found that the nyx angel veil primer really helped my makeup look smooth and so beautiful on my face. I also use Paula’s choice 2% bha and it doesn’t work immediately but over time it will help smooth the texture of your skin even without makeup.

What’s a really great dewy foundation? I use the maybelline urban cover but it settles weirdly. I just ordered the colourpop tinted moisturizer and I’m worried that it’ll do the same thing. I love the too faces born this way foundation but I can’t stomach the price

I live for colourpop shadows but their shade in the pan arent what you put on your lids they always come out darker. Besides that they blend like a dream, this one is my favorite.

What brands are similar to Colourpop? I really love Colourpop but I also want to branch out into other brands while still looking for the same things such as how CP consistently releases palettes and other products that are always good quality while also being affordable because let’s be real, makeup gets expensive FAST.

Hey guys I’m new so hello! But I just wanted to ask if y’all know any good foundation for oily skin? It can be drug store or name brand. My favorites from drug store are (Nyx can’t stop, won’t stop..colourpop, catrice) my favorite from name brand are (Estee Lauder, Fenty, Makeup Forever stick, Becca) I’m really oily on my nose so what are some good ways to not be as oily and a good foundation that will make look beat no matter how oily? 🙌🏼 lol

Hey ladies! I am trying to figure out my shade in the Colourpop Pretty Filter Tinted Moisturizer. The only foundation I wear is L’oréal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation in the shade 400 Pearl. Does anyone know what my shade would be in the tinted moisturizer? Thanks!

You could try looking for a match on findation.com! I also just recommend going to an Ulta and swatching in person. (However maybe not now with this Covid craziness!). I wear the shade fair 4n, light 5n was just a tad orange on me.

@Jasmine Johnson yeah now is the time to shop online! 🤣 Also- one thing I’ve discovered since wearing this tinted moisturizer a lot is that my ELF mineral infused primer does NOT mix well with it. It breaks it down even faster and makes it look cakey/off. I did a little research, and it turns out that silicone based primers should stick with silicone based foundations- this tinted moisturizer is water based and should be used with a water based primer. I suspect it would work great with colourpops hydrating primer but it has coconut oil (not good for me) in it so I’ve just been going primer free (still making sure to moisturize well though) for the moment and it’s been working wonderfully. Makes you wonder if you really need primer haha! I have however, been using the CP pretty fresh setting spray and that has been wonderful, and probably has been doing the grunt work of keeping the tint on my face. The spray has a beautiful sheen that is also nice for bringing the glow back after adding setting and finishing powders. Anyway- information overload! 🤣 Happy online shopping during quarantine!

Ok so! 1) prime/conceal to get good color payoff 2) grab a fluffy brush and after the initial application/tapping, use a fluffy brush with little to no product on it to blend out the edges 3) Jackie Aina has great tutorials for stuff like this! 4) Use a light hand and more product when tapping/the initial application, and hold the brush at the end when blending. This forced your grip to be less tight and you get a softer blend.
