the shade matches my neck perfectly, it makes my mature skin look almost flawless, covers beautifully and feels very light and silky on my face

- Ulta User

i love the creamy texture and it goes on smoothly

- Macy's User

blends well

i love how well it blends

- Sephora User

although i've tried the stay true and the even better formulas which are very good this superbalanced is the lightest weight and blends the best with my skin

- Viewpoints User

good quality

i am so impressed with the overall quality of this product and how reasonably it's priced

- Sephora User

given how liquid-y it is, it is surprisingly durable, and stays on all day (8+ hours)

- Clinique User

i am #27 alabaster and this is the best foundation for blending into my skin tone, does not dry my skin, lasts all day and does not look heavy or "cakey", i dust with a little powder on a warmer day to make sure it stays all day

- Macy's User

00 a jar, love clinigue dramatically different moisturizing lotion ( goes on light then firms up your face) so i gave the foundation a try in vanilla, works great glides on smooth like silk and is not too heavy and does not cake on

- Qvc User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

this foundation doesn't clog my pores, evens out my skin tone very nicely, lasts all day, and actually lives up to its claim of keeping my skin balanced

- Ulta User

goes amazingly well with a damp beauty blender perfect coverage for my liking which is light-medium yet it covers anything you wanna hide like blackheads and oil

- Clinique User

staying power

it stays perfect for at least 12 hours

- Qvc User

my daughter told me how great this makeup absorbs oil and stays flawless looking all day

- Nordstrom User

this foundation is my all time favourite, i just use a good moisteriser to help the foundation apply very smoothly and give it that healthy glow, this foundation has an amazing coverage and its easy to apply , you could either use your hands, beauty blender or foundation brush,it stays on all day, and its very light weight , the finish is very matt so i dont recommend using pouder to set this foundation, it already gives you that photoshoped effect , would totaly recommend it

- Viewpoints User

i love this foundation for the light feel on my skin and the excellent coverage of the ruddiness yet i still look naturally beautiful

- Clinique User

not creasing

it never collects in my skin creases, and keeps me looking fresh and lovely all day long

- Clinique User

looks natural and doesn't crease

- Sephora User

all together i would say that this foundation is great for someone with combo skin and is looking for a medium to buildible coverage with a very smooth natural finish

- Sephora User

it's light weight so you don't feel cakey but you still get a great coverage and it's buildable

- Sephora User

it feels silky smooth and leaves your face looking flawless, natural, and radiant

- Sephora User

another shade i have is 'plum pop' this is the perfect warm berry toned lipstick and is great if you want to try a brighter lip shade but not too bright

- Clinique User

color accuracy

doesn't oxidize

clinique superbalanced in fair02 has held up all day, didn’t cake up or oxidize

- Clinique User

i bought it in the "bare" shade which matches my skin tone the best and it does not turn yellow like so many many other brands turn on me

- Ulta User

but i patted in a small amount of a mattifying primer then mixed this with 1/4 pump of becca's shimmering skin perfector in moonstone and my skin looked flawless and luminous without looking like a grease ball, i powered with a drugstore mattifying powder down my t-zone (oiliest of the oily) but the glow still came through without looking cake-y

- Sephora User

it is a mattifying foundation and as i can be prone to dry skin, i just have to remember to use a moisturiser or moisturising primer before application

- Myer User

water resistance

not water resistant

i bought this to take on my holiday, as some of the reviews said that it was very light and the product description said that it was water resistant

- Boots User

it is not water-resistant, unless you use primers, pressed powder, setting sprays, etc

- Sephora User

stays looking silky and semi matte all day on me

- Sephora User

i find this very easy to blend, and the finish is demi-matte, which is my favorite type of finish, because i have combo oily/dry skin, so it's matte enough for my oily areas, but does not highlight dry patches

- Ulta User

medium coverage

it provides medium to full coverage, so you can cover the more visible imperfections with a touch of concealer, and still get a natural look

- Sephora User

it's medium coverage, but is very buildable; when i want a little extra coverage, i like to blend even better makeup into the problem areas and set with the stay matte powder foundation compact

Looks incredibly natural

I love this foundation. I have fairly oily skin with discolorations from the sun. My pores can be too large, and I have a difficult time finding color matches with foundations. Superbalanced wears like it was formulated just for me. I wear Sunny (G) on my medium-warm skin. It provides an instant transformation from a dull, uneven-toned, dark-circled face to a bright, smooth, radiant one. Honestly...I still get carded, and I'm telling you, it's this foundation! When people learn my age, the first thing they say is, "That's amazing! What makeup do you use?" Recently I've had numerous people tell me I look like I'm in my 20s (they are being super generous), even though I'm almost 49. I'm not bragging - my skin isn't so great at all. It's this makeup! Obviously I love this because it makes me look so much better, but I also love it because it looks like "natural" skin, and it's very lightweight. This can be layered, but with one coat applied, I'd bet no one could see makeup on my skin. This is really nice over pores, and beautiful around my eyes as well. This has no fragrance (thank goodness) and it doesn't irritate my skin at all. It plays well with the sunscreen I have to wear daily (I use Clinique City Block or Clinique Even Better Lotion). I don't have dry skin anywhere, so I don't know how this moisturizes, but it definitely seems to "blur" fine lines.

The worst foundation I have ever used

Now I have tried a lot of foundations out there and this has to be the worst - now for the reasons why..1. I have quite dry skin but this doesn't last longer than 2 hours before it starts to become patchy and greasy2. The colours are very pink toned, there aren't enough yellow based ones3. It feels sticky and never seems to dry4. It emphasized all my pores (I don't even have large pores!)5. It creased into my smile lines after an hour6. Didn't cover redness at all, actually made it look worseI appreciate that there is no fragrance but the cons completely outweigh this foundation.A foundation needs to be light, feel like skin, diminish uneven skin tone, last a good 6 hours and just look natural. If clinique created foundations like Dior, Burberry etc but without the fragrance and alcohol then that could be a winner but unfortunately Clinique just don't understand foundations....it is a shame « less

Amazing For Redness Girls

If you are reading reviews to see if you should try this foundation, I am here to help! I was skeptical and when an offer came up for a deluxe sample, I gave it a try. I am 21 years old and I have a malar rash ("butterfly rash" brought on by Lupus/SLE). My rash extends from my cheeks down towards my chin a bit and on the bridge of my nose. It looks similar to acne scars and acne redness spots after a pimple has been popped. It is EXTREMELY hard to cover up without feeling cakey. I have tried everything. My favorites before this foundation are it cosmetics cc cream and Estee Lauder's double wear. However, double wear was very heavy and dried extremely quick and was obvious on the skin and it cosmetics cc cream was just a bit too light and I always ended up using a ton of concealer. With this product, I use 1-2 very light coats. I think those reviewers who are saying that this product has minimal coverage are using the wrong applicator tool. Normally, I am a beauty blender girl, but this foundation works best with a brush. I SWEAR by the new it cosmetics "heavenly skin" brush. Yes, it is expensive, but they last for years (I have several brushes from it) and it makes your application ten times better. Apply a little on your hand and apply an even coat in circular motions. Then, take another coat and apply in a dabbing motion (as if you are dapping the beauty blender). Whala! You have full coverage and NO redness or blemishes anymore. The foundation stays on great with a setting powder. If you have any 3D pimples, I suggest also pairing this foundation with makeup forever's concealer in the tube. I have used this concealer for over 5 years and have tried almost 20 foundation's and concealers. This foundation and the concealer I recommend are the BEST! Happy shopping :)

I have never worn foundation before, and after reading billions of reviews, I decided to give this one a go. I got colour-matched instore and the wonderful person helped me find my perfect shade (alabaster). Good thing too because I probably would have gone with something much darker but this colour matched perfectly. It is super easy to use, some reviews complaned about it being messy, but I just used a Q-tip, dabbed it in the bottle and then made a dot on each section of my face. I used my fingers to blend it in, I am not a believer of make-up sponges and dont think it makes a big difference. The coverage was moderate, which was just what I needed- I wore it for my grade 9 graduation. It lasted through four hours of dancing in a hot, stuffy gym and still looked flawless afterwards. I totally forgot that I was even wearing it and must have done a good job both moisturizing and subtracting oil, because my face felt neither tight or oily or uncomfortable in any way. The finish looked very natural- not matte, not super-dewy just like normal skin looks on a good day.Sadly, I bought and wore this product right before the super sunny weather, and now I believe the colour would be much too fair as my skin tans super-easily. However I am happy to say that I will be repurchasing because unlike some cosmetics I have used, it didn't cause me to break out!!Also I found it worked really well to apply a thin, even layer to my whole face and then add more to imperfections and blend out. Less

Surpassed My Expectations

I recently ordered this new silk version of superbalanced by Clinique, after it became visibly apparent my old foundation wasn't holding up at my workplace. It's beyond difficult to find a product that won't get weird throughout the day. I walk to work and then spend the day on my feet- so I understand I have high expectations when it comes to my makeup's performance. On top of that, my skin tends to be a combination of oily and dry. It can be difficult to strike a balance. I was so into IT Cosmetics CC cream for the summer but as soon as I started working long hours.. I was a hot mess in more ways than one. It would cake up in my t-zone, settle in my pores and clog and then in other areas it would sit on top of my skin and slide off. It clearly wasn't working for me! And being self-conscious about your skin while you're trying to work, sucks. I needed something I could be sure of and Clinique seems to be the brand I always go back to. When I saw that the 'Silk' version was introduced, I had to try it! It seems like this version stays put longer than the original- probably because of it's natural finish. It's great for my oily and dry zones alike. I've realized I love the look of dewy finish foundations but they're usually not practical for oily skin. This product doesn't melt off if i'm sweating or cake up in my t-zone when my skin gets oily. It tames my little bit of redness and doesn't settle into any fine lines. I am so impressed with the overall quality of this product and how reasonably it's priced. Combo/Oily-skinned people, this is definitely worth a try.

I used Clinique super balanced and have oily acne prone skin. My other tip for oiliness is don’t forget a good primer! I use the ulta brand oil free matte primer.

I’ve asked for recommendations for foundations a bit lately but I always ask for drugstore products. Now I’m just asking for any suggestions for foundations for dry skin, my go to has been e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation but now with the weather changing even it’s looking kind of dry and flaky on me, even though I’ve switched to my thick moisturizer and prep my skin thoroughly beforehand. I really want to find a foundation with good coverage that’s also very hydrating and I just haven’t had any luck with any I’ve tried so far, so any suggestions are much appreciated.

question for you super pale girls out there: What is your favorite foundation? I’m still struggling to find the right one. I am currently using bobbi brown 00 but it’s still a little too dark. Any brands that carry ghost shades lol? #question #foundation #paleskin #howto #help
