Natural, even, smooth skin! And SPF! Awesome!

I LOVE this stuff. I have never been a "makeup girl". I never liked the feeling of foundation or powder, and never liked how some products make me feel like I look "fake"- like there is obviously something covering my skin. On top of that, my skin is very sensitive, prone to break-outs, and gets dry in areas. I was introduced to this product after having a terrible allergic reaction to another brand of moisturizer. The Clinique technician recommended I use the redness solutions cream in combination with this CC cream, explaining the redness solutions would calm my skin, and this CC cream would add SPF and slight coverage of any redness without drying my skin. I was hesitant to use this, given my general distaste, as I explained, for looking "covered-up". However, the technician was totally right- this is a very-natural-looking product. It has had NO negative effects on my skin. In fact- quite the opposite. My skin looks so smooth, both in person and in photographs, that people have commented on it. My skin looks smooth and even, but not "made-up" or powdery. I use it almost every day, and it has lasted a long time, but I don't put it on thick, usually. If I have real redness or blemishes, I might layer it on a little thicker, but usually just a thin layer is fine, and lasts pretty much all day. If I am going out later, I might do a little touch-up. I love that it has SPF, as that is one of the main reasons that I purchased it. While it does not dry my skin, I do not think it would be used as a stand-alone moisturizer, at least not if you have dry skin or if it is winter; I definitely have found it works out better for me with a moisturizer underneath. I am so glad that I took the Clinique technician's advice (she pointed out that I had nothing to lose, as I could return it if it didn't work out), and I would recommend this product to anyone! « less

I believe this has helped HEAL my skin...

My skin: Very sensitive/very oily T-zone/blemish prone/dehydrated/fair tone. I'm 37 and have been struggling with blemishes and allergic bumps due to a poor reaction to new products. I've been endlessly looking for a good bb/cc cream that 1.Doesn't contain oils or silicones, mainly Dimethicone, (which causes me to breakout) 2.Contains an SPF of 30 or higher, preferably physical as opposed to chemical sunscreen and 3.Helps control the oil on my nose and forehead during the day and finally 4.Doesn't cause me to break out. This fit the bill. It's one of the ONLY oil-free/silicone-free products that I could find. I have tried so many tinted moisturizers, bb and cc's I ALMOST gave up my search- when I noticed this met all my requirements! The results of using this for a couple weeks and how I successfully apply it: It is definitely hard to spread if you're not quick, as it dries fast. However, I put a couple drops of my moisturizing liquid- Liquid Recovery from First Aid Beauty in it, and warm it on my fingers by swirling it, and then quickly apply it in sections- forehead and nose, cheeks, chin. Then, I rub my hands together and press my warm hands over each area of my face to set this product into my skin, and gently do this over my jawline to smooth any potential streaks. At first, it's not that impressive, but as the day goes on it looks amazing. Since using this, my blemishes have almost ALL gone away, and my skin looks and feels better every day. When I have this on, my skin looks flawless -I mean really beautiful- it hides what blemishes I have left, covers redness and scarring, and I'm glowing and radiant, but not shiny. I only blot once a day as opposed to several times a day which is such a relief! If you are willing to deal with the slight challenge of applying this, the results really outweigh the negative aspect. The cream offers about a medium-coverage, has a thicker texture but not greasy, and there are many tones and shades to choose from which is great! I love this CC cream, how it makes me look during the day, and how it helps me feel about my skin and appearance, and will probably never switch again!! « less

Perfect CC cream with non-greasy hydration!

I looked pretty extensively for a BB/CC cream since I had never had much luck with them in the past. I got samples of several different creams from the Sephora store and tried each of them with no prior expectations. This one was BY FAR the best for my skin. Let me start off by describing my skin… I have very sensitive skin that reacts to most products I use (redness, dryness, itchiness, etc.). I also get hormonal acne, but for the most part I have dry combination skin. I have a really hard time finding foundations and creams that don't accentuate the dry patches on my skin, like around the corners of my mouth and nose and underneath my eyes. This CC cream did not show dryness whatsoever. It hydrated so nicely, but without making my face look oily or shiny. Since I live in Georgia and it is so hot and humid, I did set my T-zone with a powder, but I didn't have any problems with greasiness. Additionally, I think this provides a great amount of coverage. To me, it looked like my skin was just GLOWING, and I have gotten so many compliments since I started using this product. It seems like Clinique hasn't gotten as much attention with their BB/CC creams (I watch a ton of Youtube beauty gurus and have never heard this product mentioned), but to me, it was much better than the high end creams for what I was looking for. Amazing product that I will continue to use for a very long time! « less

Great!

I have very dry, very pale skin with pink undertones. Per the descriptions, I first tried the Light color, but I was astonished at how dark it was on my skin. No way would that work. I then tried the Very Light, even though it says it is for people with yellowish undertones (which I in no way have), but it was a perfect color match! While the consistency is slightly putty-ish, I have never had a foundation or tinted moisturizer that had sunscreen in it that wasn't a bit putty-ish in texture, so this didn't surprise or disappoint me. Although it is a moisture surge product, with my very dry skin, I do need to moisturize before using this product. Once on, it provides the perfect amount of coverage, letting my skin and my freckles shine through. My mother commented that my face looked illuminated and glowing, and she thought it was just my natural skin! You will need to cover up any acne or blemishes with a concealer before using as the coverage isn't that heavy, but don't let this dissuade you! This is the product I have been searching for, and I don't think I will ever use foundation again! I cannot feel this product on, but it makes a world of difference in evening out my skin tone and minimizing redness. It gives me a perfected and glowing version of my face that is still very much my own skin-- plus, it gives some sun protection to boot! I cannot recommend this product enough! « less

I was bit skeptical about trying this product out. First, I do not have good experiences with Clinique’s products. I’ve tried their toner, yellow moisturizer, Moisture Surge moisturizer and City Block sun block. When I was a teenager, my friend recommended me Clinique’s toner for my breakouts, it did not do any good but made them worse. It was just too strong for me and smelled like pure alcohol. Clinique’s two famous moisturizers and sun block were okay on my dry skin. Secondly, I’ve tried many different types of Asian BB & CC creams and they’ve worked very nicely on my skin, made my skin moisturized, dewy and flawless. I did not want to waste my money on the product that I’m not going to use… and yes I was right. I’ve come to a decision after trying this product out multiple times, I do not like this product at all. This product is very hard to blend to start with, and it leaves blotchy spots when it sets. It is NOT moisturizing at all. It has almost matte finish and feels very cakey on my skin. The worst part is that no matter how I apply it, it will just ACCENTUATE MY PORSES. I’ve used my fingers, foundation brushes, kabuki brush and beauty blender… Out of all, it works best with kabuki brush but still it’s not the best CC cream out there. I’ve tried using primer, mixed it with moisturizer, foundation or beauty oils, but I just didn’t like the heaviness on my skin. I wanted to like this product so much and this might be just me because I do know that people love this product. I’m going to give this to my friend and ask her how she thinks about it. « less

Does anyone know of any good foundations that dry down matte? Like you don’t need to set them with powder, they just dry down without being sticky? I only know of one foundation like this but they don’t have my shade. #foundation #lookingfor #dryskin #matte #powder #bake
