I’ve been going back to this moisturizer for the last few years. It’s super hydrating but has a gel formula so it does not leave your skin feeling greasy at all. Works great under makeup.

I recently added this moisturiser to my morning routine and my skin has never been better during the cold months. When I do my nighttime routine my face is still hydrated and feels soft to the touch. It hasn’t given me any problems related to allergies or acne so far; the only downside I can see for this product is the price (I bought it at us$12, otherwise I wouldn’t have purchased it in the first place).

The worst moisturiser of all times

Due to coming winter I was looking for a good moisture for my skin. My skin is dry towards combination in some areas but I haven't experienced any spots, clogged pores or breakouts. Due to blogger recommendations I decided to purchase Clinique moisture surge and my hopes were really high, especially with the price of the product and the social media marketing. I haven't been disappointed as much as I am with the Clinique Moisture surge in ages. During the first week I experienced plenty of spots and dry patches within my cheeks area. I thought that switching to a completely new product could be a reason of my skin problems and my skin needed few more days to get used to it. Second and third week brought even more breakouts, skin dullness, dry patches all over my face and fleaky skin around my nose and forehead. Over half of the jar is being wasted cause I wouldn't be putting the moisture surge moisturiser even on my hands or feet. It completely wrecked my skin and currently I'm in the middle of healing my face Using different moisturiser. Things are getting better now, however I wasn't aware that skin product could bring so much damage, pain, also lost of self confidence due to skin problems. I'm extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. Less

Good hydration for oily skin

I have really oily, sensitive skin. I am of African descent. I am in my late twenties and my skin is not really acne prone (except for the occasional zit here and there during that time of the month) but I do have acne scars from my younger days. I also have enlarged pores. I religiously used the three-step process Clinique has for oily/combination skin, and that worked well while I was abroad in a much hotter and pollutant-rich environment. When I returned to the States, my skin started flaking and breaking out, and oil seemed to pour out of pores. In a panic fueled midnight shopping binge, I bought the Pore Refining SolutionsStay-Matte Hydrator. With it, came a large tub of this- the Moisture Surge 72-hour thing. I didn't think much of it, I just wanted to get matte. And the pore refining hydrator did that- too well. I was starting to feel my skin, albeit feeling healthier and calmer, getting taut. So I started using the moisture surge during my night time routine. I'd wash my face when I showered at night and put this on. I was SHOCKED at how lightweight it is. Us oily girls fear terms like "hydration" and "intense moisturization" like the plague, and this bottle was fraught with terms like that. So you can imagine my shock when I discovered a light gel that was odorless and absorbed into my skin almost instantly. I looked matte but hydrated. I looked glowy- but in all the good ways! I was so shocked by this that I kept using it at night and the pore-refining hydrator in the day time. My skin is SO happy! I feel like my sensitive skin that was thrown off-balance by the change in environment and probably an uptick in my stress levels found its zen in this thing! My skin feels smooth and... balanced. There aren't a ton of visibly significant changes except for the way my skin feels. You know that feeling when your skin is just distressed? Like you're doing everything right but like a teething baby it cries out in little zits and dry patches? Yeah, none of that. Less

best thing ever for dry skin!

My skin has never really needed a heavy duty moisturizer, however lately, with all my acne medications and topicals, my skin has been so dry it just flakes off my face 24/7! Plus, I live in Colorado where the air is dry and doesn't help at all. I couldn't even put foundation on because my skin was so cracked and dry, it looked TERRIBLE. I was desperately looking for a good moisturizer and saw this one had great reviews but the price totally scared me. My Ulta only had the largest size in stock, so I bought it anyway because I needed something ASAP. I do not regret it one bit because the second I put it on my face, it was already looking so much better and healthier. This product feels good on my skin, hardly smells (thank goodness because I have sensory issues and wouldn't have used it if it had a smell) and it makes me skin look HEALTHY. It is amazing and worth the money. I use it twice a day but in the beginning of my super dry days, I would even apply a little to the problem areas in the middle of the day. I would recommend this 100 times to anyone and everyone with dry skin! Or even without dry skin, but anyone who needs a little moisture boost and plump, healthy skin!

Please help! I have dry/sensitive skin and have tried SO many cleansers/products and nothing seems to work. What do you all recommend for cleanser and moisturizer? I’m dying here. FYI this is what I’ve tried: Elemis, Clinique, Murad, Chanel, Rodan and fields, Kiehls, plus many basic drugstore brands. PLEASE HELP

I use the @Soy Face Cleanser and for moisturizer I use a couple of different ones like @ Blue Lotus Balancing Moisturiser , @Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator , or @Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream . But if you’re like me and have dry patches everywhere I suggest @Exfoliating Scrub once a week and if your skin can handle it I use the ordinary BHA mask the red one you see everywhere once a week and then on the days I don’t use it I use the ordinary lactic acid it’s more gentle than the bha mask. Also definitely work hyaluronic acid or Rose hip oil in your routine. The ordinary has both but I also like fourth ray beauty hyaluronic acid you can find it on colourpops site. I don’t know if you’ve tried Cerave but when I run out of my cleanser I hear their hydrating cleanser is bomb!

I actually use 2, one in the morning with Salicylic Acid and one at night with Benzoyl Peroxide. They both are from Neutrogena and oil free. @Acne Proofing Daily Scrub @ Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask There’s a couple moisturizers that I like actually, Clinique moisture surge and Neutrogena hydro boost! They’re both gel- water based moisturizers. @Hydro Boost Water Gel

I use the Clinique moisture surge after cleansing and then I put my regular moisturizer on top of it. Seems to be the only thing that works for me. Or the neutrogena hydro boost gel cream. Plus drinking a lot of water definitely helps too
