Just not a good product for me

I was really excited to try this product. I've been wanting to find a good foundation that was lightweight and good for skin. I've used Clinique before and loved it but went away because i didn't want to pay the price. I decided to try again since i'm starting to be more concerned about my skin care. I started using it and realized quickly a little goes a long way, which was nice. It went on well but i felt it was quite dewy for me but something i could look past. After that things just got worse! I tend to have oily skin in my t-zone mainly my nose, but it went from a little oily to full blast greasy! Now after about 2 weeks of use i've started to notice that i have a lot of dry patches coming up around my chin, and jawline. I've also noticed that the skin under my eyes has been extremely sensitive and burning lately. Today i noticed i'm beginning to get a slight rash on my jawline. My skin care regiment has remained the same and this is the only change. I got on to read a few reviews again and noticed a lot of people were having the same reactions i am. I'm so disappointed in Clinique. I'm sure this may work for some people but just beware. I've used Clinique and thought nothing of the bad reviews because of previous experience. Less

Natural finish, medium build able coverage. Also has Vitamin C and SPF 15. I noticed my acne scars lighten in about a month. My first foundation by Clinique and I will always go back to it.

I have combination skin, & I’m really pale so it’s difficult to find my shade. I used .75 custard & it was an EXACT match! You couldn’t even tell I was wearing makeup almost. It gave me a dewy, from-within natural kind of glow. Usually I prefer matte foundations but I loved the glow I got with this, & it didn’t make me oily or crease at all. Not to mention, it is long-lasting. I love this.

Great light to medium coverage

This foundation gives me light to medium coverage, depending on whether I apply one layer or two, and it also gives me a very natural finish. It seems to meld very well into the skin, giving me a nice even glow. It's a satin finish rather than a matte one but I have combination skin with an oily T zone so I do set this foundation with a light powder. This product is very blendable and I can use either my fingers or a beauty blender to apply it and both work well, although I get the smoothest finish with a sponge. This foundation doesn't break up or separate over the course of the day and it's easy to layer products like blush and concealer on top. I do use a makeup setting spray, either Supergoop or Coola both with high SPF, to keep my makeup fresh so I can't say how long this product would last without it. However, when I want lighter coverage than usual, this is the product I've been reaching for. This is the first Clinique product I've purchased in many many years, mainly because I always associate the brand with teenagers not middle age gals like myself. But this foundation gives me a healthy look and doesn't make me look heavily made up. I also appreciate the fact that it has some SPF, even though it's not much (but every little bit helps, right?). The purpose of this formula is to even skin tone and I would say that it definitely does that. I'm not sure I have the right shade however. Ivory is a little light for me so I may have to exchange it for Neutral, which is a tad darker. But so far, I've been able to use some bronzer all over and that has made the color look more realistic. I have a neutral skin tone and I've found that it's very hard to find a color match. I like the fact that this line has a wide shade range and that the colors are identified as pink, golden and neutral, which makes selecting the right color easier. I usually use Armani Luminous Silk foundation but didn't want to spend a small fortune if I didn't have to. I do like this foundation quite a bit but I would have to say that it's not quite on par with Armani but it's still great for light makeup days and it wears well. I do recommend it for combination skin. I only have to blot my T zone after 4 or 5 hours, which is really good thing since I usually have to add powder too (but I don't have to with this foundation). If you haven't checked out Clinique in a long time, you might want to give it a second look. It seems their formulas have greatly improved although their prices are still very reasonable. « less

Pretty Perfect

I'm mid 40s. Used to use FitMe foundation and Olay products. No fuss. Low maintenance. Skin started changing in the last few years. Texture, super oily/big pores, sun spots, break outs, etc. Started doing a lot of research and decided to completely change my skincare and makeup regimen and especially include sunscreen. Decided on this foundation based on good reviews, decent ingredients, SPF and Beautipedia gave it five stars :). People complain about products causing acne but it's probably not the foundation and more likely to be the skincare. I eliminated products with fragrance and silicones and changed to water based products and started using chemical exfoliants to help with cell renewal. The combination that has been working for my skin type is cleanser with no fragrance (I use Clinique) , oil free moisturizer (PTR), Coola tinted matte sunscreen SPF30, primer to fill in pores/T-zone, followed by this foundation and lastly set it with a translucent powder. Makes my skin look healthy. Not overly dewey or matte. No oil for hours. Maybe need to blot once a day. Huge difference from where I was before using the right line up of products. I've had no break outs. This foundation indeed color corrects itself. It does not oxidize if you prep skin properly. Out natural oils will oxidize any foundation if not prepped properly to keep oils at bay. It is not high coverage. It is just as indicated moderate coverage. It can be sheered out to a lighter coverage and it feels like skin. Not cakey or thick just creamy. The price point is perfect between drug store and higher end and worth trying for everyday wear. It doesn't last all day. Maybe 8 hours before it may start to fall around oily areas like the nose but it's so important how you prep the face prior to and to set it with powder after. One thing to note is the shades in the light/medium range are either very orange or very pink. I have just about every undertone possible yellow, olive, pink, warm and neutral and it's so difficult to find a color match. Don't be afraid to sample colors and to mix two if needed. I found that WN46 golden neutral and CN70 vanilla worked very nicely and were a good match for my light/medium skin. You just need a drop as a bit goes a very long way. Don't use too much as this was not meant to be built to full coverage or you will give yourself cake face for sure! I've learned it's best to stay on the lighter side of the color range if you're unsure and add color with bronzer if needed or else you will end up with an overly tanned orange face and that does not look pretty. Also look at the color in natural light not under the store lights. Lastly, make sure you wash all this product off before bed time! Clinique Take The Day Off and follow with a cleanser and good night time moisturizer. 👌Hope this info helps as finding the perfect foundation is a real and ongoing struggle for so many of us :) Less

Does anyone know of a foundation that is medium - full coverage that is NOT cakey or look like i have 5 pounds of makeup on my face. So a more natural looking foundation that also covers. I have normal - dry skin but no dry patches. It can be drugstore or high end but i would like to find a nice high end foundation. Im also fair skinned. I would really appreciate any replys!!! Thankyou in advance

HELP! 😱 So I’ve been trying to help my mom find a foundation that works with her skin . Any advice on a great primer and foundation that is good with combo skin , medium to full coverage and doesn’t show or increase wrinkle lines ? We’ve tried about 2 primers and 3 different foundations. She also has dark circles around eyes so also concealer that works great for that . Thanks in advance 💕💕
