my face never looks as though it’s over done with makeup, goes on perfectly smooth and lasts all day long, even in the summer with the heat

- Macy's User

it feels fantastic going on and stays on all day

- Sephora User

color accuracy

others made my look like an shiny oil slick after several hours or made me look grey around the eye area

- Sephora User

i am rather fair and the cream made me look really orange

- Nordstrom User

brightness

it lives up to it's claims of reducing the appearance of fine lines, smooth soft looking face, brighter skin, covers my blotches well etc

- Clinique User

and my skin is clearer and brighter and so smooth and soft

- Macy's User

mattifying

mattifying

i'm combo-dry, and would say that this has a natural to radiant finish; however, if you're more oily, you could totally use a mattifying setting powder and have it look great

- Sephora User

it isn't exactly mattifying or shine free, but it still looks good

- Clinique User

texture

- Ulta User

it smoothed my skin, dry flaky spots, and pores were gone to the naked eye, making my skin look the best it ever has

- Clinique User

i thought it would be a tinted moisturizer, but this is something more--really evens out my ruddy skin, covers old acne scars, and blends beautifully

- Sephora User

blends well and provides excellent coverage without looking heavy

- Feelunique User

weight

lightweight

it was light to moderate coverage so it evened out my tone, my skin was soft and supple, and best of all, i didn't burn with the lightweight sunscreen

- Sephora User

if you want heavy coverage a bb cream probably isn't the product you want, but for minor issues this product covers nicely and doesn't look heavy

AA-mazing

Yes!!!! Clinique's BB cream is finally available in the USA! BB creams are a slightly newer concept here. In Asia they have been flying off the shelves, and for good reason. If you are a very busy multi-tasker (and who isn't?), are looking for SPF and antioxidant protection to add to your am routine (who isn't?), and would like some coverage from a good base (and who doesn't?!) then this is the product for you. This will be a slightly lengthy review because this is such a new product concept, but bare with me. I have combination oily skin (Clinique's type 3) and up until I got my BB cream, my am routine consisted of: 1. cleansing 2. serum with antioxidants and peptides 3. Moisturizer with SPF of at least 30 4. Primer 5. Foundation 6. Powder and blush Let me tell you something. The BB cream has slashed my routine in half! Now I cleanse, apply my serum, let it sink in while I brush my teeth, then I take a pea-sized amount of the BB cream (which feels thicker than regular foundation) and apply it using small circular motions from the center of my face outward. I apply it using a light hand and then I go do something else for 5 minutes. Make sure you use a small amount and do not over-blend, even though you will feel you have to keep blending because it feels a little thicker than what you are used to. After a couple of minutes, it's as if the cream has melted into my face, and it appears to TRANSFORM the surface of my skin so that everything looks smooth, naturally covered, and airbrushed to near perfection. No moisturizer, no SPF, no primer, and no foundation needed. Just a light dusting of powder to set and a swirl of blush and I'm good. FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. Even in 89 degrees in August. That means NO TOUCH- UPS. NO OIL SLICKS. Not even 10 hours later. And it does not feel mask-like or heavy, just lightly hydrated and fresh. There are two shades. If you have pink undertones go with shade 1. Yellow/beige undertones- shade 2. Simple as that. For those of you who need more hydration you may want to use a heavier moisturizer beforehand. But for me it is perfect. Every now and then, a product comes along that is so incredible it changes the face of makeup forever. This is one of those products. You have to try it to believe it. Seriously, head down to your friendly neighborhood Sephora and try it. Then go finish the rest of your mall shopping. After a few minutes you wont recognize yourself and will run back to the store to buy it. Unbelievable!

unbelievably good

I kept hearing about how great BB creams were but never tried one because even though they are supposed to be for oily skin, I didn't believe it esp. since they have spf 30. I have NEVER used a sunscreen higher than spf 15 that didn't make my face feel oily, sticky or slick in some way. I wear it when I'm spending the day in the sun because I had to, never because I wanted to. I was given a sample of the lightest color Clinique BB cream when I went in to get something else. I had heard it was thick & just a little went a long way, so I dab just a little on a foundation brush & spread it out a lot. I can always add a little more to areas that need it. It's not a heavy coverage. I like that I can still see some freckles, so it looks like I'm not wearing foundation, but it evens out my skin tone & provides light coverage. It's more like a thicker tinted moisturizer. My very oily face does not turn into an oil slick. This will be wonderful in summer as it's not heavy on moisture. I am trying it today with Clinique stay matte hydrator underneath for a little more moisture to see how that will work for dryer winter conditions & I'm using Clinique Pore minimizer t-zone shine control over that but under the BB cream on my nose because of my large pores. Haven't had a chance to see how well the spf 30 will handle the sun yet, esp as you need to put this on fairly thinly. Anyone who has dry skin, I would probably not recommend this to unless you can use a heavier moisturizer underneath & still have it work as well. Anyone having an issue putting this on, I would recommend a very small amount at a time with a foundation brush & keep spreading it. Seems like it'd be less messy that way than using your fingers. I haven't tried my fingers though because the brush works so well. So far I am hooked on this product. « less

Great addition to your regimen

I have very sensitive, acne-prone, fair skin. I use Clinique's probiotic anti-redness solutions foundation (the lightest shade) and this product is a great addition to that. I prefer it over Dior's BB creme (too much fragrance, which is questionable for sensitive skin.)As I have combination skin (very oil but prone to dryness where acne med are applied) a product such as this is quite helpful: my makeup lasts throughout the day, it does not feel too heavy (I live in a VERY humid and tropical environment, so this is quite an accomplishment for a liquid makeup product) and my pores are not so apparent. As for the matter of skin tone, I was reluctant as there were only two choices. I have blue tones to my skin (it is really that white) and the blemishes of times past have left pink marks (Clinique's Dark Spot Corrector is fixing it though bit by bit) but this BB cream addresses effectively the broad range of issues. I give it a 5 star rating, because it is quite versatile, the texture is great, and a little goes a LONG way. Also, it looks good in natural lighting (such as the outdoors) which is REALLY a big deal if you have very fair skin and need the SPF - « less

Not for dry skin

Lets get the pros off first: + The bottle lasts for ages. Weighs up the price, you get a lot for that price. + If a fully matte cover is your thing it does it, no shiny spots after a few hours. + Didn't cause me breakouts. And then the cons. To me, there are quite a few. And I used the one bottle I bought till it was done with cause to me it was pricey, which was for about 2 years of not daily use but near. Cons: - It smells. It has SPF and you can smell it, it smells like sunscreen. - It latches onto dry patches. - It further dries out your dry patches of skin, it feels awful after a few hours. - It digs into wrinkles or creases and leaves lines. And I bought this when 23, I don't have THAT much wrinkles! - No matter how I applied it, it always felt and looked like a layer ontop of my skin and looked flaky. And I tried hands, bought a brush, bought sponges and bought Clinique's own primer. None helped. - Did leave streakes when using a brush. - Bit thick, even when warmed with fingers. - It is almost TOO matte, at times I felt like I looked like I was ill. - The coverage isn't that good even for a BB cream unless you use a lot and to me that defeats the purpose. - Doesn't last more than a few hours. I really really gave this product a huge chance to be good as I do generally like Clinique and it's one of few brands I can use for my sensitive skin. But this BB cream just isn't worth the cost for me and I'd not buy it again or recommend it unless you really specifically 1) don't have dry skin at all and 2) want a really matte finish and don't mind caking it on. In the end my sister had given me another BB cream that didn't fit her and I was aching for this one to run out so I could switch. The very last few drops may have gone into bin when my patience ran out. « less

Best BB Cream for Oily & Combination skin

My teenage daughter has very oily skin. She had tried my 2 BB cream from other 2 high end brands but 1 gave her more acne, 1 made her face look orange and more oily. When I read that Clinique BB cream was good for Asian skin, I took her to the mall and the sale lady matched her skin with Shade 3. My daughter has been very happy with the product. It covers her acne and acne scars & still keeps her skin look very natural (not look like a geisha with other BB cream). Her skin looks very smooth and much less oily. To me this BB cream is the best choice to use everyday for teenagers: cover their acne/acne scars, include moisturizer, sunscreen, primer, light foundation... (I don't want my daughter to wear heavy makeup & to be late for school because of spending much time on applying many layers of oil-control moisturizer, primer, sunscreen, foundation.... ). I even bought Shade 2 for myself too. I like how Clinique has more shade on this BB cream, and how the cream covers my dark spots on my combination skin but still keeps my natural Asian skin color. I definitely will pack it for the trip to Asia this summer. This BB cream is the best choice for women at their 40's like me to use on weekends as well. It's perfect for hot & humid summer weather. « less
