pore minimizing

pore minimizing

i have avoided wearing foundation my entire adult life because my pores clog easily and i have never found a foundation that matches my skin tone well enough

- Sephora User

this leaves a lovely matte finish and does a pretty good job of concealing pores without looking cakey and heavy

- Clinique User

texture

smooth

i got this foundation as a sample packet in canvas - it was nearly perfect to my color but i was most impressed with how smooth it went on and how soft and silky my face looked once applied

- Clinique User

i love it, its like silky skin

- Ulta User

staying power

longlasting

it lasts all day or all night, and keeps my skin from looking oily for at least 6 - 8 hours

- Sephora User

with every use i shake the bottle and apply the tiniest amount to my clean fingers and rub on my face, i finish off with powder and my makeup stays looking good all day

i have tried almost every makeup foundation their is and none have made me feel beautiful like this one it looks soo natural does not feel heavy at all makes my skin look and feel clean

i love this the best make-up feels light and fights acne

layering

buildable

it's very natural looking but it still has a good medium coverage and you can build it if you want a little bit more

- Clinique User

the coverage is super buildable and i can never feel it on my skin throughout the day

medium to light coverage, lasts a full 10+ hours without retouching, doesn't settle into lines (which is the anti-aging part), and looks gorgeous

i had been using a very popular loose powder mineral foundation for quite a few years but i have been having trouble with breakouts lately, i switched to their acne foundation & it was ok at 1st but after awhile i was completely unhappy with it for many reasons (had more breakouts, wasn't long lasting, coverage was no good etc) the very 1st time using clinique acne solutions liquid makeup i was thrilled for a lot of reasons; it was very easy to apply, a little goes a long way, it has a build-able coverage, it blends so nicely, its smooth, doesn't settle into any lines and at the end of my work day i still had a full face of makeup

- Ulta User

blendability

blends well

here is what i use every day, applied in this order: acne solutions liquid foundation in alabaster (apply with fingers) acne solutions clearing concealer in shade 1 (apply with fingers) stay-matte pressed powder in stay cream (lightly apply with brush to set) cheek pop in plum pop (apply/blend with brush) quickliner for eyes in smoky brown (top lid and outer corner) shadow single in hazy (applied over lid and liner gives a subtle smoky eye, use a brush) high impact mascara in black (i use on top and bottom lashes) chubby stick balm in pudgy peony « less

this makeup has great coverage for acne spots, but what i love most is how well it covers and blends my scarring

this is a high-quality underrated foundation in my opinion

mattifying

i have very oily skin, and the mattifying properties of this foundation is incredible

- Sephora User

but i patted in a small amount of a mattifying primer then mixed this with 1/4 pump of becca's shimmering skin perfector in moonstone and my skin looked flawless and luminous without looking like a grease ball, i powered with a drugstore mattifying powder down my t-zone (oiliest of the oily) but the glow still came through without looking cake-y

- Sephora User

hydration

hydrating

this one is the best one, smooth, coverage and moisturizing

- Nordstrom User

this makeup keeps my face clear and during the summer months, when my face is at its oiliest, it keeps my face more matte, while it moisturizes my face as well

color correction

color correcting

i don't even put color correcting concealer on underneath and it does a great job with covering up my dark and red spots

now, if only clinque would invent a color correcting palette and a better contouring palette

water resistance

water resistant

it is kinda waterproof but easy to remove with makeup removers and stays all day

- Nordstrom User

plus it is about the most water proof foundation i have found yet

- Sephora User

color accuracy

doesn't oxidize

the color doesn't change, it stays true, and it lasts until late in the evening

- Qvc User

i bought it in the "bare" shade which matches my skin tone the best and it does not turn yellow like so many many other brands turn on me

i get compliments all the time about how beautiful and radiant my skin is and when i tell them people literally don't believe i am wearing foundation

- Nordstrom User

no rash, no redness, my skin looks radiant

- Macy's User

finish

demi-matte

stays looking silky and semi matte all day on me

- Sephora User

i find this very easy to blend, and the finish is demi-matte, which is my favorite type of finish, because i have combo oily/dry skin, so it's matte enough for my oily areas, but does not highlight dry patches

if you're looking for a super light weight foundation with medium to full coverage, this is it

Amazing For Redness Girls

If you are reading reviews to see if you should try this foundation, I am here to help! I was skeptical and when an offer came up for a deluxe sample, I gave it a try. I am 21 years old and I have a malar rash ("butterfly rash" brought on by Lupus/SLE). My rash extends from my cheeks down towards my chin a bit and on the bridge of my nose. It looks similar to acne scars and acne redness spots after a pimple has been popped. It is EXTREMELY hard to cover up without feeling cakey. I have tried everything. My favorites before this foundation are it cosmetics cc cream and Estee Lauder's double wear. However, double wear was very heavy and dried extremely quick and was obvious on the skin and it cosmetics cc cream was just a bit too light and I always ended up using a ton of concealer. With this product, I use 1-2 very light coats. I think those reviewers who are saying that this product has minimal coverage are using the wrong applicator tool. Normally, I am a beauty blender girl, but this foundation works best with a brush. I SWEAR by the new it cosmetics "heavenly skin" brush. Yes, it is expensive, but they last for years (I have several brushes from it) and it makes your application ten times better.Apply a little on your hand and apply an even coat in circular motions. Then, take another coat and apply in a dabbing motion (as if you are dapping the beauty blender). Whala! You have full coverage and NO redness or blemishes anymore. The foundation stays on great with a setting powder. If you have any 3D pimples, I suggest also pairing this foundation with makeup forever's concealer in the tube. I have used this concealer for over 5 years and have tried almost 20 foundation's and concealers. This foundation and the concealer I recommend are the BEST!Happy shopping :) « less

Excellent foundation!

I always have a lot of trouble finding make up that really works. I have oily to very oily skin, especially my T-zone and under my eyes. I have moderate acne, so it is difficult to find a foundation that will stay on all day and still cover all my spots and troublesome oily areas without looking piled on.This foundation does just that. It's one of those products where you can put on as much or as little as you like, without looking over or under done. I put on quite a bit and it still looks natural. I wear it everyday, including to work, where my face often gets even more greasy than usual, but it still stays in place. It creates a matte finish, perfect for my complexion. It does occasionally get a bit greasy after 4-5 hours or so, but I just brush a light layer of powder over the top and it's fine. The blemishes, however, don't show through which let's me know its still staying on. Quite a bit still comes off on my makeup wipes at the end of the day too!I'm one of those people that likes to/needs to wear a fair bit of make up, even if I'm just popping to the shops for some milk, but I feel confident enough just to smooth this into my face and a quick application of mascara and I'm good to go if it's a quick trip.I have quite fair skin so I use shade '02 fresh ivory'. It has a slight yellowish tint to calm down the reddness of spots that might be lurking underneath and it doesn't make me look orange.I'm not too sure how 'anti-blemish' the product is. I don't think it has encouraged more spots like most makeup products do, but I also don't think it has cured any.As for application, I use my fingers and it glides on beautifully. I personally don't like to use a brush, but I imagine it would go on very well with one too.Overall, great product and I highly recommend! Less

Finally found a foundation I LOVE!!!

I am typically not one to review online, but I am so happy with this product that I had to! I used to use Clinique Superfit before it was discontinued. I tried out several Clinique foundations ever since then (probably for about 3 years) and never could find one that compared or that I was even happy with using. Finally, I tried a sample of acne solutions and fell in love! I even like it so much better than the Superfit I used to use. All other foundations I tried were really thick and creamy and gave me coverage that looked like I had makeup caked on. Since I am in my early 20's this is not what I wanted. Acne solutions foundation is very natural looking and has a thin smooth consistency, but it lasts all day and really covers any imperfections. I do not really have acne, only occasional blemishes around that time of the month which is why I never really considered this. At the time I sampled though I did seem to be breaking out more than usual. Ever since I have purchased a bottle of this I have only had just a few blemishes (including around that time of the month). I've been using since August now. It really lasts along time too because I still have the same bottle I purchased in August and I use it everyday for work. Just a little squirt on my fingertip is all I use. I love the bottle too because it is so easy to get out. I hate those glass bottles some of Clinique's foundations come in because I think they are so hard to use! Some people review that it is drying and I see how it could be, but I just put a little extra Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel on before applying and it goes on nice and smoothly and I've never felt too dry when using. Also, I use Redness Solutions Mineral Powder on top because I got it in a free gift and tried it with this and they really seem to mix well (although that bright yellow color is scary, it really has no color at all). This also looks great in pictures!! I do not have that dull problem some people talked about. Overall, I really have zero complaints about this foundation and would recommend it to just about everyone even if you do not really have acne like me! I think it would work great for teens to adults who still get occasional blemishes. Sorry this review was so long but i just had so much good to say about it. Hope it works for you too!!! « less

This product made my acne so much worse! Just because a foundation has Salicylic acid in it does not mean it won’t break you out or clog pores. Look for produces without silicones or talc

If you want to still wear makeup with acne it’s perfectly fine but I’d try this one by Clinique and still use a good skin care regimen with it. It contains salicylic acid and other acne fighting properties and it’s not heavy at all.

I have dry, sensitive and acne prone skin and this is what I use! When using it you need to make sure that you use a good moisturizer (I use first aid beauty) because it’s only moderate for dry skin, but when you do it’s amazing!

This is what I use! I absolutely love it! It doesn’t make me break out and covers the acne that I do have. I also have found that my dry skin makes most foundations look dried up by the end of the day but this one never gets like that! Hope this helps!😊

When I went to my dermatologist he recommended me to use the “Clinic, Acne solutions” as an everyday foundation that covers redness and blends away blemishes. And I got chocked for a couple of reasons. 1st. That foundation is made for people with acne/prone skin (contains salicylic acid) 2nd. It’s oil free. (So you don’t get oily on the T zone, or when you close your eyes or whatever you get oily) 3rd. It’s transfer proof. 4th. When you’re wearing this foundation you feel like if you’re not wearing anything, you feel your skin like a “not wearing makeup” And yeah, I tried the too face born this way foundation in the shade Vanilla, but it was a little bit dark for me and the final thoughts MMM... I felt like it didn’t even cover my acne scars, maybe I’ll give it another chance later ‘cause my scars have reduced... Btw.. The Clinic Acne solution is Medium coverage, but you can make it Medium to full with another layer And the finish is MATTE You can go to Ulta to try it and see how good works on you ❣️ Good luck 🍀
