Quite dry looking under the eyes

Not happy as it sits in wrinkles & looks dry on Mature skin.I still recommend this product though as i'm sure it is suitable for younger skins.Smooth & creamy texture from tube but drying on skin.

Love the foundation, hate the new dropper!

This foundation is the best. I have sensitive and acne prone skin. I also live in a dry region. I love how it has Hyaluronic Acid which keeps me hydrated. This foundation is buildable. It does well to cover my acne scarring. I just dab a little more in spots that need more covering up. It is breathable and not heavy. Clarins foundations are the best in the market. I will never use anything else. Clarins please bring back the pump. I hate the dropper! I also wish they never had discontinued the True Radiance, that was my favorite. This once is my second favorite. I would recommend this to anyone. It lasts all day.

Best-ever under eye concealer

Being genetically equipped with really pronounced dark under-eye circles, I've tried quite a few products - and find Clarins' Instant Concealer amazing indeed: I didn't expect there to be a concealer that looks as natural and unobtrusive, and performs that well in terms of coverage as Clarins does. I don't even notice myself that I'm wearing concealer. The "perfect concealer" question is one that obviously has a lot to do with personal style and preferences: As I'm overall not a high-coverage-make up person, I was always looking for an under-eye concealer that looks natural enough to work with light make up. And for me at least the Clarins concealer is the best in this category: It has amazing pigmentation - I haven't come across another product that exhibits that much coverage and is still neither drying nor cakey -, and with me (over 40, and wrinkles aplenty) it doesn't even think about settling into lines. I'd say it rather evens out conspicuous lines and feels quite moisturising. As for application, Instant Concealer applies extremly smooth and even on my skin, and I absolutely love the fact that it comes in a tube which allows you to really pinpoint the amount of product you need (and it needs only minute amounts to cover the under eye area).Colour is obviously something one has to check with the real product, but to give a rough idea: I'm light-toned but not very fair, with a pronounced yellow undertone and blue/blackish eye circles, and I found that 02, which looks pretty dark and slightly orangey (Armani also got that orange right) was actually a perfect match. I would think that 02 should work for light to medium tones and 03 for olive complexions, fair skintones should look at 01 which is much lighter than 02, maybe even a bit whitish, with pink undertones.Overall, I'd say that this is definetely the best under-eye concealer I ever used. It has mazing coverage, but is still unexpectedly smooth, natural loking, not drying, and not cakey. As I got this as a present from a friend, I didn't buy at Escentual actually, but definetely will do so. This is one of the few products i'd like to have around, and Escentual's price is just amazing. « less

Lovely smooth finish, gorgeous smell

I'd been looking for a new foundation for ages....something that was light enough for everyday use, and that provided a good coverage (I have quite oily skin). I found just what I was looking for with the Skin Illusion foundation. It it very lightweight, and spreads on really easily. A small drop goes a long way - I started off with tiny a tester sachet and it lasted me 4 days! The coverage is great, and it leaves my skin looking smooth and natural - with a slight glow - but most importantly covers any imperfections. I can't feel it once it's on (I can really feel some foundations on my skin, and really don't like that!), and it lasts really well. And it smells great - really fresh and fruity!

Lives up to all its claims

I purchased this foundation after hearing positive reviews about it, and I must say I'm not disappointed in the slightest. The foundation comes in a glass, pump bottle, it is a little heavy, but don't let that put you off! The pump is great as it is really precise and you can control exactly how much you want dispensed, so no fear of wasting any!The bottle looks very chic and glamorous as well with the gold lid, so no embarrassment when you pull it out of your makeup bag in public! The foundation itself has quite a thin consistency, yet it will still manage to cover imperfections and evens out skin tone to a uniform colour, giving a medium finish. It feels very lightweight on the skin and you don't get the heavy, mask feeling that a lot of foundations give. It has a fresh watermelon scent, which is quite pleasant, but only lasts while you're applying the foundation, it fades within seconds, so no lingering smells if you don't like watermelons! The finish is a cross between dewy and matte, it's a very difficult appearance to describe, but I have combination skin, and it manages to moisturise the dry areas, as well as stopping any oily areas looking shiny. It is oil free, and has pretty good lasting power- after a day's wear it still looks fresh, and when I remove my makeup in the evening after applying it in the morning, there is most definitely foundation coming off on my cotton pad, so I know it has lasted throughout the day and hasn't faded away.Clarins say it replicates real skin and this is a high claim, but I think it does a fair job. As long as you blend well, the foundation sinks into your skin without any obvious traces that you're wearing it.All in all, a really fantastic foundation, provides natural, medium coverage, and not only that, but several people have commented on how lovely my skin looks. I can 100% see myself repurchasing his when my current bottle runs out. Am I impressed? YES! A foundation which really does what it says it will! « less
